We hired Seven Til Sunrise for our wedding and WOW! They are so talented, high energy and all around amazing. They were so engaging with the crowd. All of our guests loved them and were such a huge hit!! Sam Hill was great to work with and made the process to easy and efficient. One thing I had always wanted was for my brother to play our first dance song. They included him on the set and it was so sentimental to see him up there performing for us. I truly appreciated this and they made it so easy for him to join in. If you are looking for a fun and entertaining band, look no further! I cannot recommend this band enough!!

We had the BEST time at our wedding in Hilton Head, and The Block Party Experience was a HUGE part of that!! We absolutely LOVED them and their performance!! The energy was high, the set list was perfect, and the choreography was amazing! We had a blast and so did our guests - we received so many compliments about the band and how awesome they were, I truly can't speak more highly of them, and would recommend them to anyone! Even before the wedding weekend, we knew it was going to be a great performance after chatting with the band managers. Sam Hill is a fabulous resource for those looking to get married in the DMV area! They have a huge list of excellent bands to choose from, and we were fortunate enough to select 'Round Midnight for our big day! The band was AMAZING and got everyone on the dance floor. The website made it easy to see videos of the band, hear samples of their music, and once we selected 'Round Midnight it was so easy to select must-play (and must-not-play) songs, set up a quick call with our bandleader, and make our payments. Our band was incredible and truly was the highlight of our wedding day - everyone remarked that they wished they had opted for live music for their own receptions, given how much it added to the overall energy and enjoyment of the reception. We loved Sam Hill and 'Round Midnight and cannot recommend them both enough!

Attraction was absolutely FABULOUS! From the initial planning stages to the final execution, they exceeded our expectations in every way. Before our wedding weekend, my husband and I had several conversations and email exchanges with Dave Barton. He truly listened to our feedback and understood the vibe and music we wanted for our reception. I know he also worked closely with our wedding planning team to ensure that all the sound needs of our venue were met. During the wedding, the band absolutely killed it and the dance floor was always full. Our guests were floored by the musicianship; every musician and singer was outstanding. Multiple guests mentioned that they felt like they were at a live concert, which speaks volumes about the band's talent and energy. For the last hour of the wedding, Dave DJ'ed from a playlist we provided. He did an incredible job mixing the music, keeping the energy high right up until the end of the night. It was the perfect finish to an unforgettable evening. I would 100% work with Attraction again and wholeheartedly recommend them for any event. Their professionalism, talent, and ability to engage the crowd made our wedding truly special.

I literally have zero words to fully express how amazing The New Royals were. I can go on about how easy it was to work with them prior to the wedding (communicative, sent reminders, professional, etc) but the true review is in their PERFORMANCE. They 10000000% brought the house down. Their voices and stage presence was amazing, they read the room/vibe of our guests and kept the music aligned with where the night was going. I have had almost every single guest say they were hands down the best band they have ever seen at a wedding. I've had people following up for their information just to simply SHOW their friends how amazing they are (while not even planning an event, just wanting to brag that they got to see them). Ohhhhh...let me tell you..."Young Hearts" were fantastic at my daughter's wedding. You wouldn't believe how many compliments we received and how much fun everyone had. The band's gifts and talents were on full display that night. The planning process was easy too...their communication & professionalism were top-notch. I would recommend them without reservation. ;-)

The Dickens Band played the wrong processional & recessional songs (despite giving them the exact links to the songs multiple times) so that was disappointing. They were fun on the dance floor and kept the energy high.

WOW - booking Free Spirit (managed by Sam Hill Entertainment) was the best decision we made for our wedding day, besides getting married :). Their talent was unparalleled, and we had countless guests comment that this was the best wedding band that they had ever seen and and asking "who is this band and how did you find them?!" One friend even asked if we thought that they would fly out to Spain for her upcoming wedding! Their set list was a mix of great oldies (still smiling when we watch back videos of their cover of "Best of My Love" with all of our guests on the dance floor - truly phenomenal) and 2000s/pop songs. People literally didn't budge off of the dance floor for 3 hours. All this, and their pricing was incredibly reasonable, especially for bringing all of the vocalists, horn players, etc. that they did. We cannot recommend Free Spirit highly enough; you will NOT be disappointed.

We used The Significant Others through Sam Hill Entertainment and we were blown away. They played all our requested favorites already in their set list and learned an additional song for us. They sounded absolutely amazing and we received so many compliments on the band the whole evening. Their event profile to be filled out ahead of time was super user friendly and they were very easy to work with. They pick a lot of their set list so it’s hands off and stress free and they were right in knowing exactly which songs to choose and put in the right moments. Everyone of all ages was on the dance floor and made for an amazing night

Holy moly, The New Royals were amazing! They made our dreams come true. From getting everyone to dance to keeping the energy alive, There was not one bad moment! The amount of people that had and still are complimenting them is pretty outstanding. They are one of a kind and we can't thank them enough! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Sam Hill Entertainment is a wonderful vendor and represents many bands and the one we chose for our daughter's wedding was Affirmative Groove. We attended another wedding 2 years prior and had been completely thrilled with the job they did at the other wedding that we immediately knew this was the band for us. We are so appreciative of Affirmative Groove and the fantastic job they did entertaining all of us. We are still receiving so many compliments and remarks on how much everyone loved the band and we could not agree more. The music was a great variety and something for everyone. Affirmative Groove is composed of so many talented musicians and singers and with the array of all the instruments represented, they provided a great time for all. Having a great band makes all the difference in the world on retaining guests for the reception. Many people leave early due to lack of entertainment. So many weddings only offer a DJ for entertainment so Affirmative Groove took everyone by surprise and changed the way most of our guests had ever envisioned a wedding reception to be. We are super grateful for Affirmative Groove and the professionalism and how organized they are through the whole process of booking. It was a very smooth and enjoyable process without one single kink and they were indeed the life of the party!!! Very interactive with the guests and so much fun.

We worked with Sam Hill to hire The District for our wedding. Hands down, choosing them was best choice we made throughout the whole planning process. When we met with the band, they told us "you're hiring us to throw you a party." Let me tell you, they absolutely delivered on that promise. At one point we looked across the dance floor and realized there wasn't even room to move because it was so packed. It stayed that way the entire night. Many of our friends and family are still reaching out to tell us that The District was one of the best wedding bands they've ever heard. The jazz band, Jeff Decker Band, we hired for our event was key to making our wedding memorable. We knew that if we wanted a band that could bring the feel of an old Hollywood dinner party to life. The Jeff Decker band did just that! Their music was not just amazing; it was a sonic journey that captivated our guests. The breadth of songs and musical abilities was astounding, spanning from classic jazz standards to contemporary pieces, all performed with a finesse that only true masters of their craft can achieve. Their versatility was on full display as they flawlessly executed a special request song for the father-daughter dance. It was a beautiful moment, made even more memorable by their skillful rendition that seemed tailor-made for the occasion. Throughout the event, they maintained a seamless flow between songs.They brought a level of professionalism and warmth that went beyond just playing music—they created an experience that was engaging, entertaining, and truly unforgettable. Working with their manager was an absolute breeze. Communication was clear, timely, and efficient, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. The manager’s professionalism and accommodating nature were commendable, ensuring that all our musical needs were met with the highest standard. The Jeff Decker Band is amazing. Their performance is a testament to their passion for music and their commitment to excellence. We hired Revel Radio for our wedding, and they were awesome, both leading up to the event and (most importantly) when they were playing! They really made our reception special, and we have received several comments from folks talking about how great they were and how much fun they had dancing.

We hired the Radio Sparks for our outdoor wedding. Cameron was great and very responsive leading up to the wedding and answered all of our questions thoroughly. Setup went seamlessly before our ceremony and then they were great emcees for the introductions and toast portions of the night. They were able to do a great guitar rendition of Your Song by Elton John for our first dance and then kept the energy going on the dance floor all night. I would highly recommend them for your wedding or event. The guests all loved them too.

We hired The Dickens from Sam Hill Entertainment as our wedding reception band. They did an amazing job learning our first dance and gave us a killer live intro. They knew exactly what songs to play to keep us dancing all night long!

In talking with our family, loved ones, and friends, one of the most common compliments we have received is on the Another Level Band. Everyone told us how impressive, in tune with the crowd, and highly skilled they were. We can't help but agree!! We even had a few guests ask for the band's contact information so that they could book them for their own event in the future! We did a ton of research evaluating bands from East Coast Entertainment, private bands, as well as those from Sam Hill. We were disappointed when we found out that our #1 choice was booked for our wedding weekend. Mike from Sam Hill pointed us in the direction of a comparable band and we went ahead and booked them since they seemed to be a good alternative. Before the wedding, we only had a chance to hear the demo video from Another Level so we weren't sure how great they were going to be. Little did we know, this "alternative option" turned out to be better than we could have ever imagined! During the planning process, we got in touch with Kevin at Another Level about a month before the wedding. Kevin put us at ease and clearly demonstrated his musical professionalism. It was clear to us that Another Level was very experienced, and that they would know how to read a crowd and put on the best show possible. I was especially impressed with the bands ability to play smooth jazz music during our dinner, effectively emcee our whole evening, read the crowd and decide on the spot what songs were best to play, heavily involve the bride and groom throughout the evening (we were invited up on stage and got to sing a couple of songs which the crowd LOVED!), how professional the musicians were individually, how flexible the band was with us and our timeline, and despite the fact that the lead female vocalist was out sick, the replacement singer was AMAZING! We have been flooded with compliments about how fun the band was, and how everyone wishes the party would have kept going!! We would highly recommend both Sam Hill Entertainment and Another Level Band to anyone looking for a great experience for their next event.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Sam Hill for our wedding band! We chose Crystal Clear from Sam Hill and couldn't be happier. They kept the dance floor packed the whole night and brought the energy all night long! I had so many people ask for their information after the wedding and several tell me they were the most fun band they have seen. I really enjoyed working with Mr. Wayne! We screened through a handful of the bands Sam Hill offered by looking at their song lists first which had a lot of options and were helpful for narrowing down. We then watched YouTube videos of the bands to gauge their style and overall performance since sometimes a recorded video of a live performance doesn't sound great. We went with the Dickens for our wedding band and we would recommend them to anyone! We wanted mostly classic rock with some fun modern songs mixed in to appease the whole crowd and they killed it. Adding songs we wanted to their portal was simple and easy. We also connected with the Band manager before the event to go over details and timings and the kind of music we wanted. Everyone at the wedding gave their compliments about the band as they provided a great energy throughout the night and played great songs. They unexpectedly brought my wife and I up onto the stage to sing our final song (You Shook Me All Night Long) with the band playing behind us. No one saw this coming but it was one of the most memorable parts of the evening for me and many others since they also allowed many of the wedding party members up onto the stage to finish the song with us. This was a great way to end the night and made the evening so memorable. They were awesome and I have no complaints!

When we were planning our wedding, I think the vendor we had the most anxiety about choosing was the band. We got a list of bands from our wedding planner to check out and looked through online videos, social media etc. but for us, we still felt like we wanted to see the band in person before choosing. We went with our gut and booked A-Town-A-List and we are SO HAPPY we did. When we talk to our wedding guests, the band is consistently mentioned as one of the best parts – I’m not kidding, our guests LOVED them. These guys absolutely killed it! They played our first dance and the parent dance songs live and did an excellent job. They made our introduction into the venue SO fun. We booked The Retreat through Sam Hill Entertainment for our wedding in April and The Retreat was the best band we could have ever selected for our big day!!! They planned live for our ceremony (guitar duet), cocktail hour (sax and tracks), and reception (full 6-piece band)! We were incredibly impressed with their talent and energy! My husband and I are big bluegrass fans and wanted to incorporate that into our wedding while at the sametime having a wide variety of music that anyone will enjoy and Jackass Flats nailed it!~ We were absolutely thrilled with the band's performance—it was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our wedding day. We used Deep Velvet for my clients wedding last weekend and they were GREAT!!! I've heard a lot of bands over my 14 years and they were definitely one of the best ones we've heard in a while. We booked the trio Alegria for our cocktail hour and the solo work of Peter Richardson for our ceremony. Working with Sam Hill Entertainment was very easy and they were always helpful with our questions about site layouts, musician needs, and other logistics. Once our event was about a month out, we were able to work directly with the musicians. Peter was very friendly from the beginning and perfectly matched the wedding atmosphere we wanted. He helped us choose acoustic ceremony songs with great recommendations and did a beautiful rendition of Alanis Morissette’s “Head Over Feet” at our request. Alegria’s stylings for the cocktail hour were perfect and showcased to our guests the musical talents we appreciate and value. We only wish we got to listen to them more!

We booked the Block Party Experience (BPX) through Sam Hill Entertainment for our wedding reception and we couldn’t be happier! Sam Hill Ent made the process very easy and smooth. They were professional and communicative. They set up a call pre-wedding to discuss logistics, expectations, set list requests, guest demographics, etc. And BPX was incredible! We can’t say enough great things about them. They were easily the most complimented part of our wedding. Almost every single one of our guests (ranging ages from teenagers to early 70s) raved about them and were asking for their name. The band has such high energy and you can tell they love what they do. Their song list catered to all ages. They don’t take breaks and roll from one song into the next. The dance floor was packed the entire night. They also were very accommodating to us as we had a few specific song requests. And on top of that, my husband and I spoke to a few band members before and after they played and they’re such lovely people. Eleven out of ten, would recommend. You won’t be disappointed!

We got married on October 27th, 2023 and had the band “8 Past Midnight”. They were truly top notch! All of our guests are still talking about them and just how much energy they brought to the reception. They do a particularly good job of getting out into the crowd and interacting. We can’t recommend 8PM & Sam Hill enough!

The team at Sam Hill Entertainment were great to work with. They helped us pick the perfect band (The Significant Others) for our wedding day- all I can say is we had the best night ever! They also helped us with sound for our ceremony which was great.

We had the blue tip rhythm review this weekend for our daughters wedding reception in Upperville, Virginia. The process with Sam Hill was very simple, all online, except for a phone conversation, and a few texts with the band lead, Ben. We were so pleased with the music and people danced the entire time they played, and during their breaks with recorded music. They didn’t need to say much at all, their music spoke for them. It was lively, wonderful musically, and well beyond our expectations in success. Guests loved the band. Would certainly book them again. I think they faced some challenges at our venue, power access etc, but they figured it out without involving the MOB.

We loved Revel Radio (booked through Sam Hill)! They were outstanding musicians and clearly very skilled. We received a ton of compliments on their performance from our guests. They moved seamlessly between songs and were able to read the vibe of the room and adjust their playing style/song choice accordingly. The DJs did a great job as well, the musical vibe throughout the night was perfect. We had an involved processional soundtrack as well and they were able to transition between the songs without a hitch!

We had such a great experience with Sam Hill Entertainment. Our wedding planner helped us get in contact with them initially, but the ease of picking a band was unmatched! They break it down for you by band size, cost/budget, and type of music. They have SO many options for any taste and budget. On our wedding day, the band did such a great job of communicating with my planner that I almost never had to communicate with them (this is a bride's dream to know they our vendors know what they're doing!!). They brought the energy, were flexible to some minor changes that had to be made, and were great announcers! We ended up choosing Affirmative Groove and wouldn't change that decision! Marrell was such a great band lead!

We loved our band The Finns! They had the dance floor filled the whole night long and perfectly read our crowd's energy and adjusted accordingly. They even started the night with a surprise rendition of Harvest Moon (was a full moon the night of our wedding!). We asked them to learn Mr. Brightside (a crowd favorite!) and they absolutely crushed it. They were professional in setup all the way through breakdown. We couldn't recommend The Finns and the team at Sam Hill Entertainment enough.
