lly wanted to have professional pictures taken during our rehearsal dinner the night before, so they worked out an arrangement so they could be there a couple of hours. It was a small fee, but considering how they could’ve easily just booked another wedding, it was such a great gesture on their end. Also, the pictures from the rehearsal dinner were totally worth it. As the actual wedding day approached, Samantha was extremely communicative and made sure to cover every detail in order to make sure the special day went smoothly and efficiently. She was also very diligent in getting to know us so that way she could make our experience more personal. If we weren’t already convinced that she was the perfect person for the job, then seeing her in action would’ve been the deciding factor. Samantha brought so much energy and she was so great at establishing rapport with the wedding party. It made the whole experience more comfortable, especially since I personally don’t like taking a lot of pictures. She also was excellent in suggesting poses so that we wouldn’t feel awkward. Samantha really took charge since she understood how more laid back my husband and I were, which helped us really enjoy the experience while staying in our element. I would 100% recommend for anyone to work with Samantha May Photography for their wedding, and I would 100% work with her again. I’m sure I won’t be needing wedding services anymore though.

Everything flowed so well and so organic it never felt uncomfortable which is what we usually think when we think of having a photographer follow you around all day but with Samantha that was not the case she made us feel very comfortable! My husband and I were running behind on wedding day and arrived late to the venue and Samantha and Ed were at the venue on time waiting for us with this being said they never said a thing to us about being late they were super welcoming when we arrived and still made sure all our pre ceremony/get ready pictures were still all taken which we really appreciated that! Now let’s talk about the pictures I just received our gallery and these pictures are amazing!!! We are so happy the way Samantha and Ed took our pictures it feels like a story and it’s been so much fun to see all the pictures of our family and guest that we didn’t get to see on our wedding day. day special. Samantha was great with hyping us up through our engagement shoot, and the day of the wedding. When not shooting us, she is always supporting us whether it was via text or social media. I would get so excited to see a notification of 'Samantha May tagged you in her story' because it was always a 'sneak peak' or just one of our favorite photos. The day of the wedding was stressful, right? She helped by guiding us around GIM before our ceremony. Sam and Ed both helped more than the coordinators themselves (trust me I don't know what I would have done if they weren't there). The day of you are shocked, stressed and don't want to waste time. They both were on their toes and kept us going. Im usually a chill gal, and usually don't become a deer in headlights but I just was the first few hours after arriving at the venue. Sam made sure I had all of my wish shots, and made sure I was content. I still think about this day where we just finished our couple shots and only had like 10 mins left until dinner is served. I sat there, and was like "...wait! i just realized we were not shooting my good side" and Sam was like " LETS GO BACK WE HAVE TO SHOOT HER GOOD SIDE!!" She took beautiful photos and did a fantastic job with the editing. The day of the wedding she and Ed were fun to be around, friendly, and professional; they got all of our scheduled photos done ahead of schedule, giving us more time with our guests, and they even stayed later than their scheduled time just so they could get some final shots! My groomsmen and I are a particularly loud and obnoxious group and they both handled us in stride and made us behave when necessary. We received our photos back yesterday and we couldn’t be happier. The photos are well shot and edited in an amazing way that makes the colors and lights pop while still keeping the blacks and darks deep. They even brought out the very subtle coloring in my suit which was incredibly difficult for me and any non-professional photographer to do in our own, so kudos for that! You won’t be disappointed hiring her and we will definitely be recommending her to other friends getting married soon and we’ll be hiring her for any other events that need professional photography!
