We hired Samantha as a D.O.C. for our May 2019 wedding solely for the purpose of greeting the vendors, assisting set up floral table decorations, and ensuring the whole day ran smo...
othly. We needed someone to be at the venue at 2pm to supervise the delivery of our ceremony chairs. The wedding venue planner specifically told my husband and I that we needed someone to be present at that time because she will not do it. Samantha agreed that her and her assistant will arrive at 2pm and assist my sister-in-laws with setting up the floral decorations on tables. However, Samantha and her assistant (who really seemed to just be her cousin, but nice girl) were 30 minutes late, forcing the venue planner to stay and supervise the delivery and causing my sister-in-laws to BARELY make it to our ceremony as they had to rush back to the hotel to finish getting ready after setting up the flowers(literally passed us before we walked down the aisle) . Samantha made no effort to contact me about being late even though I had my phone all me all day and I told her in advance that I was going to be with my MOH during getting ready. She did not set up our decorations correctly as described in her worksheet she had me fill out with clear instructions on what to do (even if it was not clear, no effort to contact me was made). The worst part is that she failed to properly keep my husband and I separated before the ceremony. We ALMOST saw each other 3 times. The last time was when we were lined up to do the processional and I literally burst into tears before walking down the aisle because I was so frustrated with her. To top it off, at the end of the night, she ended up losing one of my items. I contacted Samantha privately to give her constructive criticism and share my concerns (as we were incredibly disappointed) before I wrote a public review; however, Samantha made no effort to reimburse or compensate for the lack of service she provided. We paid her to be there at 2pm- 10:30pm; she was 30 minutes late and I feel like we should have been reimbursed for that time. I'm not joking when I said that literally everyone at our wedding works in the hospitality industry and ALL (yes, everyone) commented that Samantha looked like she did not want to be there nor like she really cared. At the end of the wedding, I felt like we should not have hired a DOC as I planned the entire wedding myself and with the help of family. I do not recommend Samantha as a coordinator.

We hired Samantha about a third of the way through our wedding planning, and it instantly became clear I was bonkers for thinking we could ever do this on our own!! I’m not exagger...
ating when I say our wedding would not have been possible without Samantha. From day one she was calm, cool, and collected no matter what curveballs came our way (of which there were several!) She kept track of every detail and deadline and was so honest with her suggestions on what was needed versus excess based on the vision she knew we had for our day. When I couldn’t leave the office to make my floral approval appointment, Samantha drove to our florist for me and FaceTimed me in so I could still see everything! On top of that, the vendors she works with are just incredible and it’s easy to tell they enjoy working with her, which made our day all the more pleasant. My entire family loved working with Samantha, and I can pretty much guarantee we’ll be reaching out for future events. Hire her!
Our wedding was beautiful thanks to Samantha’s vision and execution. I showed Samantha just a few photos of what we dreamed our wedding would be and what she so perfectly designed ...
was better than anything I could have thought of on my own. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to reflect our style and Samantha’s creativity touched every aspect of our wedding. She created an atmosphere and experience for our guests from the ceremony to the reception. In addition to designing our wedding, Samantha coordinated and managed all of the vendors, handling everything behind the scenes so I could enjoy the wedding planning process. We had over ten vendors in a venue that was logistically difficult and Samantha and her team made sure things ran seamlessly. A BIG thank you to Samantha Rae Events!

iated having her with me for key vendor meetings as she already knows everything that needs to be asked. She really made our wedding on 6/30/18 beautiful. I had to work right up until the day before our wedding and that meant being somewhat hands off in terms of the details of the day but it turned out better than I ever could have imagined.
Samantha was integral to our wedding as our day of coordinator. She helped us figure out the timing of our wedding and the resulting schedule was invaluable. She was assertive, but...
not pushy, and got the vendors and wedding party to the right location according to the plan. At the same time, when events like walking around greeting guests ran a little long, she could skillfully alter the schedule to accommodate our needs. We recommend Samantha to anyone who wants their day to run smoothly.
