If you're looking for a photographer, Sam is it! Sam was the perfect photographer for our wedding day. She was timely and stayed the whole day! 13.5 hours! She had a great eye placing everyone in each photo so the result looked flawless. She had incredible people management skills - she was kind and assertive which kept the day rolling. After dinner, she stayed to take photos of our venue and small details. She also takes photos of guests dancing, mingling, laughing, and having a great time. This felt unique as most photographers charge extra to stay for these special moments. I love that Sam built this into the price! She had zero hidden or additional fees. Everything was included in one price with all information on her website before having to reach out. Her transparency was the first thing I loved about her! As for our photos - they are lovely. She captured SO MANY amazing moments and was timely with the delivery of the sneak peek and full album. Overall, she truly is an experienced professional. My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Sam for our engagement pictures and wedding day. I really wanted a photographer that worked well with natural light, did minimal editing, and captured the moment authentically. She nailed all of those things and exceeded our expectations! Sam is full of energy, passionate, and works her butt off! We got all of our wedding pictures back and had so much fun reminiscing and laughing about the day. Made us want to relive it over again! When I came across Samantha’s work I knew she was exactly what I was needing for my wedding photographer. She has documentary style work, looking to capture the true and raw moments that envoke all the memories and feelings you were living in the moment. She is super nice and friendly and can help guide you in poses and picture ideas but overall she just lets you live in the moment. She was also very affordable and provided beautiful photos.

Sam did an amazing job with photographing my wedding, if I had to choose again it would be her every time!! Her style really captured the essence of my wonderful day, she’s so easy to work with and talk to and was there for us all day. Sam is amazing. I can’t begin to share the endless list of things she did to help me, and make my wedding day perfect. Sam communicates effectively and efficiently. She can talk to any stranger, loves to smile and laugh, and captures the most amazing images throughout the day. Looking through my pictures was like reliving the day again. Sam is an absolutely perfect photographer! She will go above and beyond to make your entire wedding day special. I love how she was willing to come early in the morning for getting ready photos and didn’t leave until the very end. She was able to capture every part of our day and captured it flawlessly! Samantha was hands down my savior. She saved the day when one month out from my wedding my photographer ghosted me. She squeezed me into her schedule without meeting me! We hired Samantha and her team for our wedding in April 2023, and were SO impressed! She had so much energy throughout the entire day from start to finish (12+ hours) and was like a ninja, capturing all of the best candid shots while blending in with our guests. She managed to get nothing but smiles on 9 of my nieces' and nephews' faces in every shot they were in, and really captured the emotion of the day flawlessly. We added on the snap-stand, which our guests LOVED, so it was great to have that option at a reasonable rate. We can't wait to create our albums with her and book her for family sessions in the future - if you're contemplating booking, just do it! It was worth every penny and more.

Sam was absolutely wonderful to work with! I cannot recommend her enough! We interviewed several photographers before I met Sam and instantly knew I found exactly what we wanted. Not only did she perfectly capture every moment of our wedding day and stay with us for over 12 hours, she also had a wonderful presence and made everyone feel comfortable/natural in front of the camera. Samantha is amazing!! I checked out her portfolio on her website and fell in love with the way she captured all the little and big moments in other weddings. She helped me plan the itinerary for my wedding to make sure we had enough time for getting ready, traveling and taking photos. She is so energetic, joyful and encouraging!! Just what my husband and I needed throughout the crazy day of events. My husband and I felt so comfortable during our photo session after the ceremony, Sam captured so many sweet moments between the two of us. I am so happy with how all the pictures turned out! Samantha sent us a bunch of photos for the sneak peak, a week after the wedding, and about 2 months later she sent the rest! Seriously an awesome person and an AMAZING photographer!!

From the beginning planning process, she was extremely available and easy to communicate with. Samantha was beyond great to work with and I am so happy with how my engagement and wedding photos turned out! Oh my gosh our pictures look amazing!!! Samantha was referred to me by a family friend and she beyond exceeded our expectations. She showed up on time and went right to work. She made sure all my requests were met and was everywhere getting shots from all angles. I was blown away by our sneak peak which we got while on our honeymoon. Samantha is absolutely beyond amazing. She is professional, sweet, SO talented; literally all of the best things. Samantha was an absolute joy to work with! She was so easy to communicate with and was very efficient the day of our wedding. We gave Sam the title of MVP, top vendor of our wedding! We would book her 1000 times over. The beauty of work already speaks for itself, but what you don't see is all the behind the scenes help you're getting when you hire Samantha. She told us she would be there until the very last song of the night and she didn't leave a second before our day was over. My husband is pretty camera shy and she made him feel so incredibly comfortable, you'd never know he hates having his photo taken. She also delivered a sneak peak gallery of over 100 photos, before we were even back from our honeymoon, which made going back to real life so much easier! Samantha was one of the best choices we made throughout our wedding planning process! She did the best job on our engagement and wedding photos! She is so nice, fun, and easy going! She was very chill and easy to work with when coordinating our wedding timeline and did not mind when we wanted to spend extra time on our party bus (which was not on the timeline). Samantha has a lot of great ideas of where to take photos and also does an amazing job of capturing authentic moments throughout the day! We love Sam!!! Prior to our wedding, she has done our family pictures twice so we already knew she was great. Somehow, she still managed to exceed our expectations on our wedding day. Choosing Samantha to photograph our wedding was without a doubt the best decision we made throughout the entire process! Her photography stopped me in my tracks the very first time I saw one of her photos. When looking through the wedding gallery of a complete stranger made me cry, I knew Sam's talent was something special! There is something distinct and unique about her photos- the best way I can describe it is that they just feel real. The photos she took feel exactly like us and how our day actually was (not to mention they are also unbelievably gorgeous). The emotion she captures is front and center in every single photo, and they don't feel stiff or staged. All of my absolute favorite photos are of the real moments that made the day full of love and life- my husband and I laughing at how awkward we are at trying to pose for photos, our parents reacting to us reading our vows, laughing and dancing with our friends, my husband air guitaring with his mom. Somehow her photos take so many individual moments and allow you to feel the authentic and overwhelming joy and love that made the entire day so special. Sam was such a wonderful presence throughout the day. She is so flexible and willing to do whatever you ask; or if you're like us and have no idea what you're supposed to do, she will give you suggestions that will inevitably turn out to be the most gorgeous photos you've ever seen. We laughed and joked with her the entire day, and yet she still somehow seemed to capture moments we had no idea she was around for. My husband described her as a "photography ninja" when we saw some of the photos she was able to capture without us knowing (ps Sam he is still talking about how cool you and your camera holster are). Sam came while we were getting ready, and worked her butt off the entire day to make sure she got every moment. I think it's really special that she offers a flat rate package instead of the more common hourly ones- it really speaks to her character and dedication to capturing everything that makes your day special. It allowed us to just experience our day as it unfolded and not feel like we had to make sure every moment we wanted to remember happened within 6 hours. She was there with us the entire day, and I'm not sure I could ever describe how much we truly appreciate all of the hard work she put in for us. It makes me emotional just to think about how grateful we are to her! She also took our engagement photos while very pregnant, and was chasing us into weeds and squatting in mud like it was nothing to make sure she got incredible shots. She is the most hardworking person you could imagine, and is so genuine and kind and unbelievably talented! The photos she took are better and more special than I ever could have hoped for and something that we will always cherish. I really don't think I could ever say enough about how incredibly glad we are that we found Samantha... our experience with her was truly perfect in every way.

Samantha was our photographer for our March 31st wedding! We were thrilled with what Sam did to make sure our memories were beautiful! We chose Sam because her photography style seemed "real" and not over-edited or filtered so you miss the true emotions, movements or expressions in the pictures. A second reason is she offers a "flat rate" pricing for her wedding package where we didn't have to be specific to how many hours, etc. within the bounds of the contract. We chose to get a second shooter as well. We had a few early meetings at her home office and found her to be very easy-going and relaxed, but very professional in her materials and presentation of information. After our wedding, my husband (who rarely paid attention during these meetings because like many, he hates his photo taken) said that he would hands-down have Sam do any of our photos in the future-- I agree! Samantha came to my hotel where the girls were "getting ready" to do early photos and First Looks. She was fun, conversational, yet also seemed to blend into the background. When I think back on the wedding, I'm not sure I noticed her most of the evening, but I have these beautiful photos so I know her and Lauren were there! I note this only because I have seen reviews where photographers were obnoxiously in the way or created visual blocks for people. This was definitely NOT the case with Sam + Lauren. After first looks at the hotel, we headed to the ceremony/reception venue and took our formal photos and bride & groom sets. She was flexible to do whatever we (or our families) wanted, but also offered suggestions where we were uncertain of what we should do. I specifically asked her for this since we had an engagement shoot with another photographer and ended up with 100 photos of the same pose, but I think it's in her nature and she would do it anyway. We had a few interesting dynamics before the ceremony with family and she read them right away and helped us sneak away and have space where needed. I have never had photos feel so EFFORTLESS before-- and the results are beautiful! She sent out a 100ish photo Sneak Peak 6 DAYS after our wedding which included an email with link to an online gallery to all the guests who registered via the Ipads she provided at the bars. She offers a small discount for preordering so we purchased a photobook that she will design for us. We are so excited to get the rest of the photos back!

Samantha is truly the best ever. I consider photography to be one of the most important parts of the day- your photos are forever. Samantha captures every single moment and emotion so beautifully. She has obvious, true talent but what sets her apart is her authenticity! It feels great to spend the day with someone who's happy to be there!

Photography was probably the most important item for me, and Samantha knocked it out of the park. From our initial consultation to the day of, she was attentive, organized, and incredibly comfortable to be around. She was assertive, but not pushy, collaborated with our videographer and other vendors, and super creative with her shots. In less than a week from the wedding we already have a sneak peek of 140 photographs; all gorgeous! I want to make her our official family photographer is how much I love her work and energy. Any clients would be lucky to have her capture their special moments.

Samantha made our wedding experience everything we hoped for, and we felt completely comfortable trusting her to capture the day! Our pictures are as joyful and vibrant as the day itself, and they match the values that were really important to us on our wedding day: a focus on our family and our community without unnecessary formalities. Samantha came to the hotel where I stayed in the morning, and captured me greeting friends and family casually. Even in a tiny hotel room, she remained unobtrusive yet kind, witty, and funny. My parents and I, all skittish about being photographed, felt completely at ease as she snapped pictures of us opening gifts and getting ready. After talking with us prior to the weekend, Samantha internalized everything and never asked or suggested we do things we didn't want. It was important to me to avoid some traditional shots that I was uncomfortable with, and also to never feel like we needed to stop and pose or slow down the action to capture a shot. During the ceremony, we didn't even notice Samantha or her second photographer! After the ceremony, she managed to get all of our large group shots, involving over 100 individuals (more than half of our guests) in just over half an hour: truly, a miracle. As you can see from her portfolio, where she thrives is candid and active shots: as we look at the pictures from the ceremony and the reception, we have no idea how she wrangled herself into the crowd to compose such stunning images of a hyperactive bunch of people. I can't tell you how many guests commented on how hard she and her colleague worked all day, and how kind she was to everyone she met. The thing that really speaks to who Samantha is was our experience with her between the ceremony and reception, when we escaped to have a beer on our own. We asked her to get our "couple shots" during that time, and she miraculously did while giving us plenty of time to enjoy our beer, each other, and Washington Park. At the end of the night, she drove back to the hotel in our car and was as upbeat and delighted as ever, despite working a nearly fourteen-hour day the day before her birthday! It felt like having a good friend who attended the wedding with us, not a stranger taking pictures. After seeing Samantha's work at other weddings, including my husband's brothers, we knew she would make us look amazing. We had no idea how wonderful she would make us FEEL. So much of what we built and the kind of celebration we wanted is reflected in her work; our images are more than just visual documentation of the day, rather they viscerally capture the joy that was made more abundant by her presence and her commitment to her work.

Sam photographed our wedding on 9/17/2016 and we consider her to be the best decision we made in our planning process. We originally found Sam’s work through an article that was written about our wedding venue. In fact, me may have fallen in love with the venue mostly due to her gorgeous photos of it. After looking at more of her work online, we were completely sold. She was everything we wanted in a photographer: someone who captures real, candid moments in a way that conveys sincere emotion – and oh yeah, the photos are always STUNNING. When initially meeting with Sam, we really liked and agreed with her philosophy that wedding photos should represent the day like you remember it – not in posed, awkward stills, but with the motion and emotion that made it special. And man, did she deliver. You should know when you book Sam that you are booking a real artist: someone who understands light, color, and composition. Somehow Sam manages to “get the shot” without ever directly posing you or using artificial light. If you have ever seen her at work, then you probably know why. She is all over it! Both my father and another dad I know who used Sam for a wedding said the same exact thing about her, “she works her a$$ off!” On top of all that, Sam is a pleasure to work with and to have around. She spent the entire day with us on our wedding day, and we were so glad to have her. You will not regret booking Sam – we just hope you’re lucky enough to get her!

Samantha was absolutely amazing! Finding the right photographer was so important for my husband and I, and the minute I came across her website I knew she would be perfect. She was so flexible with scheduling and so easy to work with. We got married at a summer camp and we ziplined in the morning, so she came out early to capture the moment even though it made for a really long day for her. She never complained and was excited to be there with our friends. She blended in and was never intrusive and captured of all little details in very authentic way. We love our photos so much and I'm so glad Samantha was there to capture one of the best days of our lives! Samantha is amazing. She photographed two of my cousins' weddings as well, and has become our family's go-to photographer because she is so fun to have with you on the day of a big event and her finished product is BEAUTIFUL. She was on time and very flexible when we were not. She was also quick! We got to see some of our photos less than a week after the wedding. I would recommend her to anyone!

Samantha was absolutely wonderful to work with and we could not be happier with our wedding photos!! As with any wedding, there were so many random things that came up unexpectedly the day of, but Samantha did a great job of staying organized, getting all the photos we asked her to (which there were quite a few, especially with the family photos and what not), and capturing all of those precious moments that just came up naturally throughout the day. She is definitely more of a natural shooter which is exactly what we wanted - she put us in rooms with natural lighting and beautiful accents of light that made for such gorgeous photos, we are just so excited to get prints! She is also terribly reasonably priced its insane considering how wonderful she is, which just adds to the overall experience because you really feel connected and like she truly loves what she does and cares about how your photos turn out. I would and have been recommending Sam to all of our family and friends!

I originally found Samantha's Studio on the Knot, checked out her website, and fell in love with her portfolio. Her pictures capture so much emotion; each wedding album tells a beautiful story. My wedding pictures were no exception. We received over 1100 photos and they were ready just 4 weeks after our wedding. They are all gorgeous- it has been hard to narrow down which ones we want to print. She made us look so good! Samantha was fun and easy to work with- we received compliments about her personality from our wedding party and multiple guests. She gave direction when needed to help us get the best lighting and angles and whatnot, but didn't get in the way when capturing candid moments. We were very happy with our mix of portraits and candid shots. I feel lucky to have had Samantha capture my wedding day and will definitely want to work with her again when we have kids to photograph!

Samantha came HIGHLY recommended by a friend. It was pretty clear from the initial meeting that she was someone who is easy to work with, flexible, professional, and most importantly--talented. As I mentioned from the beginning, I wanted our wedding photos to be something that is natural and spontaneous to capture that fun intimate party mood of our smallish (75 guests) wedding. From the adorable, yet, confused look of the little ring bearer to the tender moment shared few seconds after the ceremony where the bride is simply leaning against the groom, Samantha's pictures captured the sheer love and joy in every frame with zero pretenses. Words simply cannot describe how happy I am to have our pictures to remind us of the very special day! WOW! I had almost all of my wedding planned before I found a photographer. I just could not find someone that I trusted and truly loved their style. So after months of looking, numerous appointments with other photographers, I came upon Samantha's page. I immediately fell in love. Her pictures were great, she really captures the feelings of the day. Not only that, I really trusted her. She is so personable and kind, and treats you like a friend, not a client. We did our engagement pictures with her and absolutely loved them! She found a gorgeous castle in Ohio and we took pictures there during winter. I thought Samantha was going to have a challenge with my husband (he is not so great at expressing his emotions) but when we got back the pictures I was so happy. She caught all these little pictures of my husband that really show his personality. The day of the wedding we had some issues with our flowers and arrival times, but Samantha just went with the flow, she went from downtown to Mason to downtown again, all before the wedding to get the pictures that we wanted. She kept the boys in line and made us laugh all to get the best pictures possible. On the day of the wedding, she had a second shooter with her, and they really did catch all the best angles and best shots. All my other vendors could not stop talking about how great my photographer was! My family and friends love all my pictures and I am so happy with them too! We got 5 photobooks with her as well as the pictures. I didn't even have to design the books, she picked out all the pictures and had me proof the final draft. On top of all of this, Samantha was so reasonably priced. The other photographers I met with were around 4000-5000 starting. We got our engagement photos, a WHOLE day of wedding pictures with a second shooter, and 5 photobooks for around 4000. I am so happy with how everything turned out. I know we will definitely be using Samantha in the future for our anniversaries and kids pictures (whenever that happens). She is so versatile and has such a great vision for all of her pictures. Overall, if you are in the Cincinnati area and don't have a photographer, using Samantha will be the best decision you could make!

Samantha absolutely amazed me with her professionalism, adventerous personality, and photography! She showed up well on time and started to do her thing right away. My husband and I didn't feel rushed or controlled when we were having our photos taken at our outdoor wedding. I especially appreciate Samantha for trucking through so much mud, since it had poured down rain for a while that day! She was determined to make sure I was happy and helped brighten up the situation. It was a long day but she exceeded my expectations as a photographer and I couldn't be happier with how our photos turned out!

We used Samantha for our Engagement and Wedding Photography. She was fantastic! She has a great love for what she does and it's very evident in the photos that she creates. She did an amazing job dealing with lack of time, missing people, sick flower girls, etc. Her prices are great, she's great, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. We loved everything about our experience with Samantha and will be using her again in the future!

Samantha's Studios first caught our eye because of her unique photographic style - it was exactly what we were looking for and the prices seemed fair. Once we met Samantha we knew we were a perfect match! She is friendly, approachable, and gets the shot! Her prices are very comparable to what's out there and the overall product is worth 10x what you pay. I will keep Samantha's Studios in mind for anything else I ever want captured. She truly did an amazing job and we couldn't be happier.

I booked Samantha about 6 weeks before my wedding after an ugly break-up with my original photographer. I reached out to her [frantic] after viewing her beautiful pictures online. She got back to me within 10 minutes & was able to meet with me the same week. The second we arrived at her studio, we knew she was the one! She is professional but still personable. This is someone that is with you on the most emotional, stressful, exciting, happy, etc etc days of your life. There is no one better! She made EVERYONE feel comfortable [I had multiple people tell me that after the fact], she is funny, she let us just be, & came-up with absolutely awesome locations. I just picked-up my over 900 pictures on Monday and they are a.m.a.z.i.n.g! I literally love every single one - not a bad problem to have :) Everyone that has seen them is in absolute awe. She captured the day perfectly. We had a wonderful wedding weekend extravaganza & everything was perfect but she is by FAR the BEST decision we made! B O O K HER!!!!!

Samantha was our wedding photographer for our September 2013 wedding. She kept us calm the entire day and guided us through our photos without it feeling like a forced portrait session. The entire day felt natural and at ease. Samantha has a very artistic eye and shoots beautifully in nature. Her compositions captured our outdoor wedding perfectly and we could not be happier with our wedding photos!
