ed like just another transaction and not a bride. My first appointment was good and so was my original stylist (not Yasmin thankfully). However, once I entered the dress buying phase, it was very unpleasant. Since it was an expensive purchase, I was trying to ask questions and the manager, Yasmin, used a snarky tone and was condescending. I successfully negotiated with them which is industry standard and should be expected occasionally, but maybe the manager didn't like that and used that as an excuse to be rude and sassy. It wasn't okay. Yasmin ruined my dress buying experience. Since we're being specific, she was condescending and rushed me due to their busy schedule - I literally booked the next available day after my first appointment which was about two weeks later due to their winter break, which I'm glad they have but in my defense I did my best with scheduling given their availability. They tried to rush me out of the store, suggesting to buy a wedding dress online. Sure I could finish a few thousand dollar transaction online, Yasmin condescendingly said they can "walk me through it" if I bought in person, and I'm glad I bought in person vs online because several details came up that need clarified including re-measuring me in front of a window which was a bit violating. Another uncomfortable part was her bringing her dog into the store, every appointment after, even though I indicated I had dog allergies when scheduling my appointments. In future appointments through the next year, the manager Yasmin never improved and was consistently snobby and did not treat me with respect. The dress buying process concluded unceremoniously. I was just a price tag to them and they no longer showed kindness once I bought. A few days after the purchase, I got an email which I thought would be order details or a copy of my paper receipt, but no, it was just my order number and a long request to leave a positive review, which made me feel like they were greedy and just wanted to benefit themselves now that I already paid. They even mentioned to email them with bad feedback instead of posting, but I don't think an email would fix Yasmin's bad attitude and it wouldn't change the awful experience I already had. So here's your review Yasmin, lose the condescending and snarky tone and be a good person, don't be so greedy and think twice before you ruin more people's experiences. Maybe the wedding industry isn't for you.

or a Cause, Blue Sky Bridal, I do bridal, ect. However none of them compare to Samila! Many of the gowns Samila sell are easy to custimize and get exactly what you want. The people who work here truly have such an eye for what looks good. When you go set up an appointment with SHEA she is the best in the industry. And the owner, Yasmin was extremely helpful as well and so kind. Thank you Samila!

did a great job helping narrow down the selections from my family and find the perfect veil to fit my dress. Samila was also great in providing a realistic and accurate timeline of when my dress would be ready to schedule all of our fittings and tailoring appointments. Overall, the whole process went very smoothly!

I never felt forced or rushed into a decision and she answered every question I could possibly think of. She also combined both appointments for both stores into one so I didn’t have to go walk to the other store after the appointment. She was incredible at deciphering my indecisiveness, asking me the right guiding questions to get me towards my perfect dress! After my first appointment at Samila, I did some shopping around at other dress stores in the area. But nothing matched the experience I had here, and I ultimately decided to come back for a second appointment. I am so glad I did, because I found my dream dress! She also did a fabulous job of sticking on my side quietly while managing the strong personalities and opinions of my parents and grandfather. Having the stylist support you in this process makes a world of difference.

The shop had requested that I browse their selection and choose a few dresses that I liked, and they had those dresses pulled for us when we got there. We were brought to the beautiful loft, where were had the whole upstairs to ourselves. Shea was fantastic, she really made the whole experience great for us. She was extremely informative, and made me feel very comfortable during the fitting process. The third dress I tried on ended up being the one! I had tried on a very similar dress at another shop, but the quality of the dresses at Samila are so much better than any of the others I had tried. I am so grateful to have found this shop!

Another note was that on their website they said they had sample sizes up to 18, and as a plus size bride I was worried that with “bridal sizing” that wouldn’t be large enough. Turns out they are much more size inclusive than I originally thought and they had a beautiful and large selection for me to try. I am shocked I ended up choosing a dress at my first ever appointment. I never felt pressured or overwhelmed after all. I highly recommend this shop to anyone, especially because of Yasmin.

I tried on dresses. I absolutely love the dress I chose -- it was exactly what I had hoped for, and I felt so beautiful on my wedding day.
