Sampson's Hollow in the Great Smoky Mountains

Despite COVID-19 changing our plans multiple times, Angie and the staff at Sampson's Hollow were so amazing to work with! Everything was made easy for us throughout the entire process. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to have the dream wedding that my daughter and her new husband deserved! The food was great, the music was great, the accommodations were great, the cake was great. We highly recommend contacting Sampson's Hollow if you have need for a beautiful wedding venue... Given that I have six children we may even be back! Thank you so much to everyone for making this so beautifully easy and so easily beautiful!

We had the BEST experience at Sampson’s Hollow!! Our wedding planner, Lesley, went above & beyond to make sure all my visions for my big day were met. Everything about the venue is perfect - they have the nicest, most helpful staff who makes setting up & cleaning up so simple; the caterers are phenomenal - we had the baked chicken with mushroom gravy & pork tenderloin, & it was delicious - Lesley even made sure to take us both a plate of food to the cabin so we could eat after everyone left; we had 2 different people drive us & my photographers around the property after the ceremony, & they both were so nice & helpful making sure we got the pictures at each different spot before going back to the reception; the DJ was amazing - he made sure all the guests knew my requests, reminded them we had s’mores, & played all the right songs - the ones I asked for & ones perfect for our special night. I cannot say enough, though, about our wedding planner. Lesley made sure every single one of my needs were met - even down to one of the snacks in the cabin for us that evening. I know I made a million changes to everything I wanted for my wedding day, & each time I made those changes Lesley made sure she let me see the most updated timeline so I knew it was taken care of. She took all of my stress away, & I cannot thank her enough. My wedding day went so much better than I ever thought it could - all thanks to Lesley. Sampson’s Hollow is the prime location for a beautiful, mountain wedding. We had a fall wedding - October 12, 2019. We booked the venue October 2018 - the day we went, it was an evening one day after work. The sun was started to set, & the leaves had already started changing to their pretty fall colors. Sampson’s Hollow was the second venue we looked at - promised each other we would be open to looking at other places before completely deciding... That totally didn’t happen. We didn’t even make it back to Highway 321 before I called to book. The drive into Sampson’s Hollow is relaxing, the mountain view makes you feel like home. If I had it to do all over again, I would’ve came to Sampson’s Hollow first, just to book sooner :) Sampson’s Hollow made my fairytale wedding come true. It is truly the most beautiful place in the mountains for a wedding - any time of the year!

Highly recommend Sampson’s Hollow!! Lesley was my wedding coordinator and was absolutely amazing. She responded quickly to any messages or emailed and was very organized. I planned the wedding sight unseen and everything went better than I ever could had imagined! Can’t say enough good things about this place!

I began my search for a destination wedding venue in November of 2018. We booked tours of 6 venues in the smoky mountains. Sampson's Hollow was our second tour. When we pulled into the property, I knew this was what I wanted. All the information I had already received from Lesley about the packages beat the other venues also. The other venues we toured that weekend were nice, but didn't compare to Sampson's Hollow. We came home and thought about the venue for a couple weeks. It was all inclusive, a beautiful site, and friendly staff. The price was affordable for everything it included. For black Friday, they had a couple deals. So we booked it and we were really indescive on a date, but Lesley was patient until we finally decided. I continued communication with Lesley through text and email, and she was always quick to respond. In March, they assigned me a coordinator, Krista. We all went down to their Open House at the end of March and met with Krista for a few minutes. The first thing she said to me was that we were going to be best friends by the end of the wedding. I began communicating with Krista through text as well and she was also punctual in responding. We set up a time in June to meet and finish all the plans. We had a lot of questions and wanted to make sure of everything since we live 6 hours away. Krista met with us for 3 hours, and she contacted at least 3 other staff for us (a few times) and our million questions. She took notes, and made sure she knew exactly what my vision was. It was finally wedding weekend in July, rehearsal was Saturday and wedding on Sunday. Saturday, I took all of my extras for personalization with me (thinking I was going to have to place everything). Krista led us through rehearsal and assured me that everything was good to go. She asked me to show her all my things and said "okay I'll do it!" I was in shock, she took all the stress off my shoulders that I'd had over preparing for the wedding. On wedding day, she was on the ball. She checked on us girls, the guys, and the staff she works with. There was an awful storm still happening just 45 minutes before the ceremony that was set up outside, but yet they had everything covered from the rain. She stayed positive for me that we wouldn't have to move it to the porch and it would stop raining. Well it stopped raining just in time for us to not move it. After the ceremony, Krista kept schedule of our photographer timeline and took care of the reception timeline. I can tell she loves her job, she was taking pictures, blowing bubbles, and greeting my guests. The other staff is great as well, even though I didn't get to know them as well. I had guests telling me that the staff was so kind and thanking them for coming. Krista made my beautiful bouquet, the band played live music for the ceremony and personalized our first dance song, the staff decorated everything, did set up and clean up, I didn't have to do anything except enjoy the best days of my life. Sampson's Hollow blew our expectations. The beautiful natural backdrops and multiple photo opportunities they have set up allowed for the most perfect pictures to remember our day.

Sampson’s hollow was the most magical venue for us. They have multiple wedding sites that you can choose from, and packages you can always customize. Not to mention their amazing staff and punctuality. We were always on track with the help of our coordinator, Angie, and she made it so easy to be a bride during this hectic time in my life. I was finishing school, interning, working full time, and trying to plan this wedding but Angie made sure I was on track and worked with me around my schedule. It was so worth the work put into it! It was such a wonderful day, and the beautiful people and mountains surrounding me just made it even better!

If I could give this wedding venue more than five stars I would. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and tucked away in the middle of the mountains and the staff that work there are even better. Leslie was my wedding coordinator and she was by my side for every step of the wedding planning process. It poured rain on my wedding day, but Sampsons Hollow had a contingency plan for that which was amazing. Honestly if you are looking for a beautiful venue with high quality staff who truly care about you this is the place to go.

If I could get married all over again I would pick Sampson's Hollow every time! My husband and I got married in the fall of 2018. We are from Indiana and were deciding on a destination for our wedding. Although it was in a different state our whole experience with Sampson's was absolutely amazing. The communication, the customer service, the staff, through the whole year made me totally at ease. If you are looking for a beautiful southern wedding with no stress we HIGHLY recommend Sampson's Hollow. Thank you so much for the awesome experience.

We were SOO blown away by Sampson's Hollow and their amazing staff!!! The venue is breathtaking and they did everything to make our day magical and everything we wanted. Idamae Wooten was our coordinator and made sure everything was beautiful and flawless down to the last detail! We will be forever grateful to Sampson's Hollow for giving us our best day ever!!! ���

We were married 12/02/2017 at Sampson’s Hollow. We knew from the first moment we stepped on the property this was the place. Lesley and the staff were great. They were always a phone call or click away! We had a stress free all inclusive wedding which helped with our busy lives. Sampson’s has everything any bride and groom are looking for, beautiful views, and a great friendly staff (I cannot say enough about how great everyone is and the traditions they cherish).

Sampson’s Hollow was an amazing place for our wedding! They had so many options to make things just the way we wanted. We ended up keeping things very simple, but it was so beautiful and all we provided was simple table centerpieces. Everyone at our wedding commented on how beautiful it was and the staff was incredible. All I had to do was think of an idea and boom, it was a reality! Krista was amazing and took great care of us to make sure that we had everything we needed!

Sampson’s Hollow was a fabulous site for our wedding. The venue is beautiful with the mountains as a backdrop. Our weather in mid-October was perfect. Lesley and the rest of the staff took care of everything. Having an all-inclusive venue was a must with my work travel schedule. The music, food, coordination, preacher was absolutely perfect. Our family is raving about what a wonderful time they had! Thank you so much for making our day beautiful and stress free.

Absolutely stunning venue! The staff were wonderful. I had a stress free wedding because the staff took care of all the details. I could not say enough praises about Sampson's Hollow! Tucked in the Smokies, it sets the perfect scenery for your happily ever after!

I chose Sampson's Hollow because of the beautiful location and the at-home feeling you get while on the property. I'm so glad I had my wedding here! The staff was so helpful and we collaborated to put together a beautiful wedding in just over 2 months. They are prepared to help several different aspects of wedding planning such as catering, the cake, and some decor. (My food and cake were ah-mazing!) The package I chose even provided a coordinator and all of this at a very reasonable price. Definitely recommend. P.S- It rained on my wedding day, which no one wants BUT this venue has the most beautiful 'Plan B' option for rainy weddings and it turned out to be even better than I could have imagined. If you want an outdoor ceremony but are hesitant because of the possibility of bad weather this is a great option.

Our wedding at Sampson’s Hollow in May was absolutely gorgeous. The venue itself was breathtaking and there were so many great spots for us to get amazing pictures! We only had about 50 guests, but Janice helped us create a wedding package that was perfect for us and included almost everything we needed for our wedding. The reception food and wedding cake included in our package was so delicious, and the decorations were spot on. Our package also included an amazing wedding coordinator, Lesley! She met with us multiple times before the wedding to go over every detail, and I honestly could not have done any of the wedding planning without Lesley! She definitely went way above and beyond to make our day unforgettable! I just cannot say enough good things about Lesley and Janice at Sampson’s Hollow! I highly recommend this venue if you are looking for a beautiful rustic/country wedding with amazing staff who care about your special day!

I had my wedding and Ceremony here and it was absolutely wonderful. The packages the venue offers really takes a lot of stress off of you as the bride. The staff and owner are incredibly friendly and help you every step of the way! Sampson's Hollow handled not only my ceremony/reception but they also took care of my cake, flowers for my bridal party, decorations, and food. It really made for a seamless day. The location is absolutely gorgeous! I was married at white pergola but I was able to see all of the other location and they were all pretty as well. The location really makes for breathtaking photos. My photographer loved all of the options the venue presented for our shoot. Another thing that was amazing was our wedding planner. She was incredibly efficient and kept everyone on track! I would highly recommend you check out this venue if you are looking for a destination wedding or are in the Gatlinburg or Knoxville area, it isn't far from either and is the perfect wedding location.

My daughter's, and now son's, wedding was at Sampson's Hollow on 9/2/2017. They started planning at this venue back in December. It is the most breathtaking sight I have ever seen for a wedding. Carole, one of the wedding coordinators, was absolutely amazing, very thorough, and no worries or concerns left for the Bride or Groom. The photographer, Michelle Boone Farris, was carried in the golf cart around the beautiful grounds, located at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains, with the Bride and Groom for photographs due to rain. With Carole's assistance and the tireless efforts of the entire staff, the wedding was absolutely perfect and the staff at Sampson's Hollow is none other than excellent. They chose the on-site catering and cake. It was absolutely delicious and many guests were very complimentary and wanted to try to get a few recipes. The service was outstanding and the staff ensured all guests were cared for and attended to. Truly, there are no negative comments that I have to post. The couple took advantage of the beautiful cabin and all of the family and guests left knowing they had been a part of a once in a lifetime beautiful experience! Thank you to all of the staff at Sampson's Hollow and especially to Carole!

We got married 3/4/17 and we couldn't have asked for a better place to get married. We absolutely enjoyed our day everything was beautiful!

I could not have picked a better dream venue. It was everything I could've dreamed of and more. Ida Mae and Janice went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and also that I was calm and had everything on the biggest day of my life. It was an absolute perfect day and the most beautiful venue all thanks to Sampson's Hollow. There is no other place I could've imagined our wedding. I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone!! I'm so thankful for these 2 women who worked with us hand in hand to make our dreams come true (with limited time to plan). They are the best at what they do!!

This place is perfect or any type of wedding, big or small. We decided to go ahead and get married while we were vacationing with family and planned everything in 2 weeks. Sampson's Hallow took care of everything from the flowers, minister, chairs, cake and gave referrals for photographers. It made things so simple and there was no stress. The venue is absolutely beautiful, with many different options for where to have the ceremony and take pictures. They drove us around on a golf cart while we took pictures, which was very nice. The barn is beautiful on the inside and on the porch. I'm so glad we got married here, it was everything we wanted and so perfect!

Absolutely wonderful! Everything was perfect, and they are so great to work with! The flowers, food, cake, and entire venue were absolutely amazing! They made things so easy and the entire process a breeze. Their packages are affordable, and definitely help those with busy schedules! Sampson's Hollow was the picture perfect place for our daughter's May wedding. From the beautifully maintained grounds, to the food service staff(a big thanks to Idamae), to our wedding coordinator(shout out to Lesley)everything was just perfect. Each member of the staff worked to meet our every request. Our daughter and now son-in-law told us, "It was exactly what we wanted," as they prepared for their sparkler exit. If you choose Sampson's Hollow you will not be disappointed.

We could not have been happier with our decision to get married at Sampson's Hollow. The friendliness of the staff and their professionalism was exceptional. We used their wedding coordinator services and that was the best decision we have ever made. When our ceremony musician fell through a week before our wedding, our coordinator was able to find a replacement within a day. She was awesome and her calm helped keep me calm (which is very important!). There were just so many great things about Sampson's Hollow and the services they provide. We were able to customize our wedding package to include all that we wanted and took out all of the things that we weren't interested in. They were very flexible with letting us make it our day. It was just perfect! There was nothing that we would have changed about our wedding or our experience at Sampson's Hollow. Visit in person so that you can ride around with Bill on his golf cart and see their beautiful property!!

In my personal experience with Sampson's Hollow was absolutely amazing and a wonderful venue to work with! My flowers made by Janice were so pretty and better than I ever could have imagined. And Lesley is AWESOME! The best wedding coordinator I could have asked for!! Several guests were impressed by her hard work all day! Their property is stunning and so beautiful! I'm sad to say that my big day is over because being at Sampson's Hollow was like a fairy tale!

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS WEDDING! The wedding facilities are located in the mountains which creates a beautiful backdrop for the wedding. Our wedding planner, Carole, took care of all the details. The place including the reception hall was beautifully decorated the way asked. The food which they prepared there was delicious. Our pictures taken on the grounds using their facilities are beautiful. We showed Carole a picture of the cake we wanted. The cake looked just like the picture. Our guests raved about the food, decorations, and wedding ceremony. We told them we wanted wildflowers for the bouquets and the bouquets they made were beautiful....perfect for the wedding. I had the stress free, fairy tale wedding day because of their hard work. I would recommend Sampson's Hollow to any one planning a wedding.

Janice made everything so simple for me. I stress out very easily and Janice coached me through the whole thing! We traveled from Ohio to Tennessee which was made effortless by her! She asked what I wanted and she delivered! Everyone went above and beyond to make our day special! They made us feel like we were the most important people on the planet! I am already sending prospective people her way because I am a life long fan! Five stars doesn't seem to be enough! If you're looking for a unique,rustic, antique looking venue, look no further!!!

First I would like to thank the staff at Sampson's Hollow for making my wedding day all that I envisioned, and more. They took care of everything, so we did nothing but enjoy our special day. Allowing Sampson's Hollow to plan and coordinate our special day made for an effortless wedding, and reception. They took care of everything except photography. I chose Gary Woods for my photography, and I would highly recommend him to anyone as well. The staff at Sampson's Hollow were on top of every request, and even my guests commented on how fabulous the staff were. Also, the food and decorations were even better than we had anticipated. The farm itself is gorgeous, and everyone went on and on about how beautiful my wedding was. We stayed for three nights and absolutely loved every single moment. We plan to return for another stay in the cabin sometime in the future. I highly recommend Sampson's Hollow for a wedding of any size, or budget. I could not have been more pleased.

I couldn't have imagined a better wedding day. Carole, my wedding coordinator, was there for me every step of the way, and insured that every detail met my expectations. All the staff was wonderful, and were very considerate. It rained right before my ceremony, and they were able to get everything ready outside in under 2 hours. The wedding site is gorgeous with beautiful views of the Smokies.There is a wild flower patch planted next to one of the two wedding sites that add a special touch to this venue. I would highly recommend them. We really lucked out finding them, and were so grateful they were a part of our special day!

We had our wedding at Sampson's Hollow in March. The weather turned out to be perfect just like the wedding site. Carol and Janice were wonderful to work with and made the entire process as stress free as possible. Sampson's Hollow exceeded our expectations for our wedding! My husband and I recently reconciled our marriage at Sampson's Hollow in Tennessee, and we simply could not have chosen a more exquisite and peaceful place to do so. Sampson's Hollow is located in the most beautiful area of Tennessee and is a slice of heaven with beautiful, rolling hills and mountains all around. Sampson's Hollow has so much to offer with several amazing on site locations to choose from for exchanging your wedding vows. It truly was so difficult for us to choose the exact spot on their grounds to have our ceremony because everything they had to offer was just so beautiful. Sampson's Hollow was able to take all of the stress out of the planning by offering menu types, flowers, cake, and even photographers, which by the way, were all very professionally done with such elegance. Everything was set and ready for us when we arrived at their venue. All we had to do was show up! What a relief to walk in with friendly, professional people all waiting to handle your special day with such care. Sampson's Hollow is simply rustic elegance through and through with their beauty, care, and attention to detail which meant so much to us since Tennessee is our second home and all of the planning was done long distance. We now have the most breathtaking wedding photos of our special day and every single photo was perfect. We chose their white gazebo with hanging chandelier and rolling hills in backdrop to exchange our vows with our white dove release at the end!!! We are so grateful for Sampson's Hollow and all they had to offer! We and many of our family and friends highly recommend Sampson's Hollow for anyone's special wedding day!!! Lovely location, two places on the property to get married. Great character about the place. People are easy to work with through e-mails and phone calls. Have worked with lots of other vendors which makes the day flow easily.

I picked Sampsons Hollow without stepping foot on the property from half of the US away and was beyond impressed. Janice, the owner was absolutely amazing. Communicating everything via email was hard but ladies it is beyond worth it. Thank you Sampsons Hollow for making it possible to have the wedding of my dreams. Janice also had my flowers, cake and reception decorations done for me as part of the package and I was very pleased.

Sampson's Hollow offered us a beautiful location for our outdoor wedding. They provided a peaceful place with the convenience of both ceremony and reception sites on the property. Our only complaint was the wedding coordinator they provided for us. They required a coordinator with the package we selected. They recommended one of their coordinators because they work exclusively with Sampson's Hollow and many of the vendors in the area. That sounded like our best option, but it was a complete headache. My advice is go with your own wedding coordinator that you trust!

First, let me just say that the staff at Sampson's Hollow was AMAZING! Carole did absolutely everything I asked and was so incredibly nice, organized, and professional. Sampson's Hollow is the most beautiful place for an outdoor wedding, and mine could not have been more breathtaking. The venue is VERY well kept, clean, and has so many little details that I felt like i saw something new every time i visited. We had a few family members who were elderly or had disabilities and Carole and the staff were so friendly and accomodating. The owner Janice put out bouquets together and they were perfect! I almost cried when i saw mine b/c it was exactly what i had envisioned. They also provided the food for our reception which was absolutely delicious!! I honestly do not have a single complaint or negative comment. My wedding day went above and beyond my expectations, and I would recommend this venue to anyone.
