Sam and Monica made us comfortable infront of the cameras right away. We had a blast at our engagement shoot. It felt as if it was a date night instead of a stale and structured photoshoot. I was set on booking them for our wedding before we even got the engagement photos back. Our destination wedding had a lot of factors with planing but Sam and Monica were there to answer questions and give advice along the way. We loved our zoom meetings and phone calls with them. We feel lucky to have spent a week in Vegas with Sam and Monica. They went above and beyond to capture all of our special moments. They are organized and gave great directions to our family and friends during photos. Our video had multiple days of footage really capturing the party of LasVegas. It was a huge task to incorporate multiple styles of footage into 5 minutes. They pulled it off! I love how flirty and full of love it is.

Sam and Monica, from the time of our first conversation all the way to our goodbye hug at the end of the reception were kind, supportive, flexible, and anticipatory. They asked inituative questions, researched our venue and provided expert advice during the conceltation which combined with their level of experience, editing style and easy to work with personality led us to go partner with them to make our wedding day dreams come true. We met several times to plan the engagement photos, and the wedding day, discussing every detail from large to small, including outfit recommendations for the engagement photos and day of timeline ideas. The engagement session was like hanging out with friends, we laughed and joked with Sam as he worked to perfectly captured our love for one another. Fast forward to the big day, that flowed with ease, Sam and Monica arrived early and scouted photo locations, while keeping weather and my brother’s use of a wheelchair in mind. Ensuring that every photo I wanted was captured, stepping into support us by carrying our drink or grabbing a wedding party member, and by coordinating the dance of not seeing your partner before the big walk down the aisle. They even captured the photos I didn’t know I wanted until I saw them in our album, like my niece coming up the aisle, my mom and dad dancing together, my brother jokingly holding my bouquet and my personal favorite the wink I gave Sam during our ceremony. In the end our photos came out better than I could of hoped for, from the content to the quality they captured the essence of our day and were returned to us in record time. Planning a wedding is full of many many many decisions, so let me help you make this an easy one by urging you to choose Sam and Monica.

We had a fantastic experience with Sam and Monica as our wedding photographers. We had numerous calls with other potential photographers but as soon as we spoke with Sam, we knew that they would be perfect for our big day. He was always quick to communicate, flexible with payments, attentive to detail, and overall was a big help in planning our event. During our initial call, we explained that we already had our engagement photos taken by another photographer but he insisted that we do another shoot with him so that he could understand what we wanted and how we interact with each other. We were SO glad that we did this as the photos ended up fantastic and are now all over our house. In the weeks leading up to the ceremony, Sam was instrumental in us finalizing our timeline and the fine details. During the day of the wedding, Sam and Monica somehow captured everything. The getting ready shots were non-intrusive but turned out excellent. The groomsmen and bridesmaid photos were both a ton of fun and are now great keepsakes with our closest friends. The first look and private vows were captured beautifully and are some of our favorite photos. During the ceremony and reception, I didn't even notice Sam and Monica at all but they captured every moment we hoped for and more. The thing that stood out most to me was the speed and quality that they were able to edit and return the photos to us. Sam said that he stayed up nearly all night after our engagement shoot and had ALL of the photos to us by the next morning. For the wedding itself, we had an excellent selection of photos ready for us the next day and the full album after a few more days. This was such a pleasant surprise for us as I have heard of so many people waiting weeks to get their pictures back. Overall we could not have been happier choosing Sam and Monica for our wedding photos!

We were VERY blessed to have Monica & Samuel photograph our wedding. Although we originally wanted to spend less on photography, YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET. Photos will last forever, and they are what you will be looking at for that long. It is worth NOT trying to skimp on the photography out of anything in a budget. That being said, Monica & Samuel were still very reasonable. They have great charisma, creativity in shoots (not the same poses over and over again), and we are absolutely in love with our photos. You will not go wrong booking them for your event!!!

We highly recommend Sam and Monica as wedding photographers. From the start they were super personable and very easy to talk to and work with. They did both our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures and we couldn’t love them more! Based off our initial video conversation with them we knew we wanted them as our photographers. Their online galleries were stunning and that’s exactly how we feel about our photos. They helped so much with the planning process. Very responsive and helped me step by step along the way even including when I was clueless about how to put a timeline together. The day of the wedding they both went out of their way to make us all feel special and super comfortable. They arrived on time and helped keep our timeline on track perfectly to the point we even had extra time to be able to relax and take in special moments. They had the best ideas to get some special and unique pictures and always listened when I had a random photo idea come to mind that I wanted to try. Every special part of our day was captured which is so so special to us. Multiple members of our wedding party told us just how amazing they thought our photographers were and how comfortable they made them feel throughout the day even though getting photographed isn’t the most comfortable thing for everyone. We are in love with the results of our pictures and will forever cherish them!

Sam & Monica provided a premium experience for our wedding in Newport KY at Headquarters venue in August 2023. They were great to work with and made our day comfortable and fluid. They met all our photography needs. You will not meet a more spirited and superior skilled power couple.

If you’re considering Sam and Monica for your wedding photography by needs, do it! We were so pleased working with them from the beginning to end. My husband wanted to be involved with wedding planning but there were some things he was more interested than others. He hates pictures so our photographer was not his excitement in planning. When we met with Sam and Monica he liked their personal vibes and was more interested than he had been for any other photographers. Sam and Monica worked with us to design a package that met all of our needs including videography for a reasonable price especially for the amazing work we received! From here- we threw them unique ideas and aggressive timelines. They were great to work with! Never saying no, while also making my dreams realistic! We had a blast with them all day and they did great directing our timeline and adjusting for weather. Post wedding- we got an amazing sneak peek in less than 24 hours, then we got our pictures in less than three weeks and our video shortly after! If you’re looking for a quick turnaround, WOW did they bring it! Lastly- they have gone above to provide additional content as requested. I wanted some raw video footage just to have and some pictures of specific people. They provided to us easily and quickly! Overall- Sam and Monica provided stunning work and were so fun to work with. They truly learn about you as a couple and the work they do showcases the couples personality!

Bride: My fiancé and I loved working with Sam & Monica! They were so easy to work with and made us feel instantly comfortable in front of the camera. They also exceeded our expectations with every aspect of our wedding planning and on the day of! Their turn-around time for our engagement video/pics was amazing, and I loved the few photos and the insta-reel that they shared with us within 24 hours post-wedding! My husband: You mean 4 hours post-wedding! I liked how easy-going they are and they were the life of the party during the wedding! Though, how ever late this review may be, it could never change the fact that your presence and role as our wedding photographers was one of, if not THE best decision we made while planning for our special day. You were each were essential in not simply capturing those special and magical moments (which you did most beautifully), but the execution of our entire wedding day. I am so grateful that we found your work, and I genuinely don’t know how we would have navigated that day without you. Even as plans changed, or as hair and makeup took an incredibly huge chunk of time out of our scheduled timeline, Sam was still able to capture all of the love and excitement of that day. I received so many comments from guests about how professional yet laid-back the photographers were. She even cleaned and polished my engagement ring, and also helped the men with their bow ties! The list is countless- but she was more than happy to take care of anything thrown our way, and each detail was perfect! Sam has an awesome method of providing open-ended direction, then letting the moments just happen, naturally. The results are an amazingly realistic view of that moment in time, but just 100% more beautiful! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your hard work and dedication to making our day go as smoothly as it could, given some of the last minute hiccups, and we have breathtaking photos to enjoy, share, and reflect on our wedding day. “Thank you” just isn’t good enough, unfortunately, and I wish I had the words to communicate to you how special you are to us.

Sam and Monica were absolutely perfect for our wedding. They helped our day run so smoothly and they took some of the best pictures I have ever seen. Engagement photos - October 2022 We'd give 6 stars if we could! As people who don't have any experience being photographed and are a bit camera shy, Sam and Monica did a stellar job making us feel comfortable and helping convey who we are on camera. Their communication, work ethic, and attention to detail we're superb, and we knew that our memories were in the right hands. Wedding - November 2023 From the beginning, we knew that Sam and Monica are prepared, thorough, but still made everything accessible and friendly. During our consultation (before we had even picked them!), Sam had already looked up sunset time on our wedding date and built a potential timeline for the day. As a detailed planner myself, I was blown away by all of the knowledge and experience they bring. Throughout the whole process, from our engagement photo shoot to our first dance, they made themselves accessible and kept us in the loop. They were very responsive when we had questions. Monica went above and beyond normal photographer duties, and helped my mom bustle my dress! Sam is one of the friendliest people we've met and really took the edge off our nerves on the big day! We hadn't considered that having a friendly team of photographers that we had great chemistry with would be important on our wedding day, but we are so glad that we chose Sam and Monica. They know how to elicit genuine reactions and emotions, and capture those in the photos and videos. They were also great with our families and good at managing large group photos and transitions. We were blown away by our final photos and videos, and how many special moments they captured that I didn't even realize were happening. The turnaround time was incredible. We cannot recommend them enough!!

Sam did an amazing job with our wedding photos -- from getting each of the "must have" photos we discussed, to the candid shots during our reception and the artsy "storytelling" photos to capture every element of our day. They really listened to what we wanted and personalized our videos and photos to us. We truly could not have asked for better photographers for our wedding. From start to finish Sam and Monica were amazing at their jobs. They were friendly with our guests and took perfect photos, capturing all the little details and moments that are easy to miss on such a busy day. A lot of the guests kept on coming to me and asking me where I found them, they were so impressed by them. I heard about this later from my guests, but apparently right before the ceremony (it was outdoors) someone started mowing their lawn very close to our ceremony site. In order to get to the person and alert them to stop, Sam walked right through a patch of poison ivy and went straight up to the guy to get him to stop. It’s not every photographer that will go that extra mile for someone, and we are very grateful for that. We also got our photos back literally 1 week after the wedding, which was a LOT faster than we were expecting. They turned out great, we love every one of them! We went with collection B, which includes an album of selected photos. Can’t wait to get the album!

We found Sam through Tolman Media. He did our engagement photos and our wedding photos. He not only took beautiful, creative, inspired photos, but he was so much fun! He made us feel calm and helped us stay organized. He danced and engaged with all of our guests and we all loved him! What I wouldn't give to be able to post a sample of his beautiful pictures! My only wish is that I could have had him there for longer! He was willing, my planning was lacking!

Just book Sam! Sam was wonderful to work with. We were from out of state and my husbands family lives in Toledo. He drove there, from Columbus, Ohio, so he could do our engagement photos. He took a lot of time to make sure it was the perfect location for the pictures. He has the most charismatic and funny personality. For the wedding everyone made comments about how great the photographer was. We all felt as if Sam was a family friend just there taking some pictures. As for the pictures, they were gorgeous! My friends and family were so impressed. I truly don’t know what pictures to pick to enlarge because they are all so beautiful. I would book Sam again in a heartbeat!

We had Sam for our engagement pictures and wedding photographer. He did an amazing job! I am so thankful we have so many beautiful pictures of our special day to last us a lifetime. If we could rate Sam with a hundred stars, it still wouldn’t be enough! He fit in so well with our wedding party and guests, which allowed them to be themselves and have fun with our pictures. He is one of the best photographers I’ve ever met, with a great sense of humor and an eye for some gorgeous photos! Dramatic lighting for some formal shots but he’s best at capturing the smiles, the tears, and the mischief that brides and grooms typically miss (or might even be involved in!). Bottom line- you want to hire him!!!
