S&R John Photography is a husband-and-wife, photo and video duo, based in Memphis, Tennessee. Shelby and Rick, love capturing your wedding day from start to finish. With no hourly time restrictions on the big day, Shelby and Rick capture everything from you getting ready to your final sparkler or confetti exit!
Shelby and Rick are super easy going. Rick will have you cracking up with his fake accents and silly movie quotes and Shelby is quick to smile and laugh along with you. Shelby, southern born and raised, loves beautiful sun flares and epic landscape images. Rick, originally from Southern California, loves film and classic, contemporary styles. Their two approaches balance out and complement the other.
Their love for film guides the look and feel of their images. Drawing inspiration from the environment, they want their clients to not only to have beautiful portraits, but also epic scenic images that take you back in time and remind them of where they've been. we love our wedding photographers, the quality and quantity of photographs they produce, and the video they made for us of our wedding day. Easily, they were the best vendor decision we made in a huge line of wonderful-vendor decisions. They championed our ideas for us, added creative touches that were unique in what feels like an wedding era where coming up with unique ideas seems impossible, and never missed a chance to represent the personality of my husband and I. The wedding pictures are priceless and showed detail that we would have otherwise probably missed in a fast-paced day. The wedding video that they did left us speechless and brought all of the emotions of our wedding day flying back even months later. We cannot recommend them enough as professionals or people.

ctures turned out wonderfully. I told them I really wanted to have a shoot in downtown Memphis at a local coffee shop because I was a barista for 5 years and they made it happen! They were so professional about shooting in another business and made sure the owner was okay with us photographing there. On our wedding day they made sure to get all the shots with both sides of the family, they had a great system for getting group shots to make sure everyone was included. They were attentive, considerate and we cannot wait to see our final photos! I highly recommend them :)
