They were both highly professional, responsive, punctual, and skilled at their craft. // Portfolio // Sandy Xiong Beauty's portfolio showed a wide range of beautifully done hair and makeup styles, which stood out to me since many other vendors only showcased a few looks, mostly reflecting current trends. I was worried those other vendors wouldn't be able to deliver anything outside their usual styles. It didn’t take me long to realize Sandy Xiong Beauty offered the best value within my budget. // Constructive Feedback // The only area for improvement is email response time. Before booking, I sometimes waited anxiously for replies to my questions near the quote deadline. After booking and connecting with my day-of artists, communication was smooth and timely. // Bridal Trial // During my trial, KaSen accommodated time for two different hair styles because I wasn’t sure what I wanted. I told Kong I’d never liked my makeup done by anyone else before, and she completely blew me away with her work. The trial was fun, and at the end I felt beautiful while still looking like myself. My hair and makeup after the trial lasted over 10 hours (and through a nap) with only minor touch-ups. My artists encouraged me to take notes after and welcomed feedback, which was very helpful on the big day. // Wedding Day! // On my wedding day, Kong and KaSen came prepared with my trial photos to reference. Kong told me I took really good notes, which made it easy for her to tweak my look exactly how I wanted. As my beauty prep was wrapping up and the ceremony drew near, KaSen noticed my nerves and took a moment to reassure me -- I really appreciated her kindness. My lipstick wore off quickly, which I expected & failed to prepare for -- I had planned to get the same lipstick Kong used for touchups throughout the day but failed to do (wish I would've! I recommend this tip for other brides). My eye makeup lasted through all the tears without any issues. Even though I knew my down hairstyle would eventually get knotty, I felt like Rapunzel & my half-up hair stayed full all day. I lost a few pieces of tinsel throughout the day but not a single bobby pin. Kong & KaSen's attention to detail and care made all the difference in making me feel confident & beautiful on my wedding day. make up. We paid for a bridal hair/make up trial, wedding day bridal hair/make up, and 5 wedding party hair and make up as well. I used the bridal hair/make up trial for a photoshoot and I walked out of the appointment feeling beautiful but unsure of how everything would photograph. Well to no surprise, I looked flawless and Sandy was able to bring out a beauty in me that I didn't know existed. I was confident in her abilities on wedding day but to see her and her assistant's work on wedding seemed like magic. She made my bridesmaids and mothers look like royalty and all of our hair/make up lasted 10 hours+ in 100 degree summer weather! Her team was able to gauge each person's comfort level on the amount of make up each was comfortable with. They also did wonders with hair all of types, fine or thick, blonde or dark, it did not matter. I'm an emotional bride so of course I started crying (of happiness) an hour after having my service done during my first look, but my make up didn't even budge. I think the photos talk for themselves. I would recommend Sandy and her team over and over again!

nd showed that she cared about me being happy with the look. I also don’t wear any face makeup so any amount of foundation felt like too much for me. Sandy was able to work with me and adjust to a perfect blend of makeup for the cameras while still looking like me. My husband said the hair and makeup both looked really good! She and her associate Elizabeth did a total of 9 hair and 9 makeup services on the morning of the wedding which was A LOT. They also allowed us to take a break to get some of the classic getting ready photos I wanted, even though we were already behind schedule. Somehow they made up time though! Sandy told me it always works out, and she was right.
