I am so glad that my husband & I chose Highlands Park to have our wedding! The ceremony & dinner were held outside and the dancing/cake cutting where all held inside the house! It ...
is such a deal for the price! The only bummer is that your event can only last for 5 hours! I was really wishing we had more time with our guest! I mean the day just flew by! But all our pictures are absolutely breath taking!!! The grounds are perfect! We even hiked down to the creek for pictures!
This venue is beautiful during the summer! We had an outside ceremony and dinner then our dancing was inside the house. The outside area is kept up well and so is the house. Rooms ...
upstairs for the bridal party to get ready. The price is a little high for nothing really being included (not enough tables/chairs) and they have a lot of "rules" for how much you pay as well. Their time restrictions were a little intense too. Nice that you can do your own food which helps with the cost of the wedding. Overall though we loved it and made it work for us.
Great place for our August wedding reception of 70 guests. It is a better value if you are getting married there too. We were not.
We had to pay for each hour of decoration, wh...
ich was a total pain.
BUT, the reception turned out STUNNING and we had worked over every detail ourselves, so we knew exactly what it looked like. Everyone loved the place. It is a spacious house and grounds you can do whatever you ike with, almost. There are some park rules to follow. The attendant from the park was a little overzealous in trying to make sure we didn't tape stuff on the walls and that no one underage was drinking.
I had a great time, and so did my guests, but I think I would have done it differently if I could go back.
Was 1200 including our decorating time and 8 hours for day of reception setup, reception and cleanup time. All in all this was about 12 hours of time.
Beautiful, well kept open grass surrounded by lush greenery and redwoods, set near the Santa Cruz Mountains. Low costs, but this is a "do it yourself" venue. If you have the time a...
nd creativity ( like I do), this place provided the perfect wedding at a very affordable price. The old house on the preoperty had a dance floor, kitchen, bar ( that we stocked with beer and wine), and bedrooms for dressing. I loved this place!
