We could not be happier with our decision to have Santiago photograph our wedding day. He is incredibly talented and clearly so passionate about what he does. So many of our guests commented on how kind and hard working he was! Our wedding day was a very cold and windy day in December, and I’m not sure how Santiago did it, but you could never guess the weather from our photos. We did an engagement session with him as well, and between that and the wedding day, we felt so at ease as if we were hanging out with a friend. Truly cannot recommend him enough!

We hired Santiago for our October 2022 wedding at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center. The entire experience was everything we could have asked for and simply FANTASTIC! Communication before the wedding was always transparent and swift, and on the big day itself, Santiago proved to be not only a creative master behind the lens but a genuinely kind, caring, and patient person whom we're so glad we got to know. He made us feel so comfortable, even during some of our more private moments like sharing our vows and post-ceremony pictures at sunset. It honestly felt like we were just hanging out with a good friend! Furthermore, the collection of photos he gave us is absolutely jaw-dropping and *unfathomably beautiful*. Santiago has a true eye for catching key details and capturing emotions, expressions, and moments throughout the course of the celebration. There is such a rush throughout one’s wedding day… small things that we didn’t get to see firsthand on the day of, such as the centerpieces at the dinner tables, were commemorated in Santiago’s images. When we look back and reflect on the most important day of our lives, my wife and I will forever be grateful that we invested in an excellent photographer that helped tell our story. Also...we hired Santiago before our wedding for a fun "lifestyle" engagement session with our rescue dog! We all had a blast together and the resulting images were so special. We would 200% recommend any engaged couple to get in touch with Santiago. You will be humbled beyond words by his craftwork and kindness.

We had Santiago shoot our LDW wedding this year and had an absolutely amazing experience. Due to COVID we had a longer engagement to try and avoid all the cancellations/size restrictions that were occurring in Madison WI, and from the outset he was a joy to work with. We are not "picture people" so his pre-planning and direction was extremely helpful for us to help visualize exactly what "shots" we wanted, and his day-of coordination was second to none. We also hired an independent videographer (which I know can lead to come conflicts as both try and capture what they need) and you would've thought Santiago & he had worked together for years the way they shared the room to make sure WE got the best results possible. We even got out pictures back in two-weeks time (incredible for the hundreds he took) and have been looking at them nightly. Highly recommend for all fun-loving couples who like to have fun while having their lifetime memories captured!

I do not have enough good words to say about Santiago! First of all, he is so easy to work with and answered my million questions I had! He helped me figure out my timeline for our wedding day and made it 100% less stressful. He is so easy going and just goes with the flow, while fulfilling all of my requests. With all that said, the pictures he takes are BREATHTAKING! I was floored when we got our wedding picture back! They are so beautiful and there are sooooo many! Santiago traveled into the city for us, we live in Chicago but we’re getting married in Wisconsin which is how we found Santiago! He made the experience incredible and seamless and was very knowledgeable of the spots we wanted to experience for our engagement pictures! He even adapted as we added a new spot week of! My husband and I considered dozens of photographers when we got engaged. There was something about Santiago's photographs that kept drawing us in. We could not be happier with our choice! The pictures are so vivid; they really capture all of the joy and laughter. Something about Santiago's style just makes you feel like you're back in the moment when looking at them. We took pictures in old buildings, under tree cover, at night under Edison lights, and pictures surrounded by sparklers. Santiago shot both our engagement photos and wedding. My husband and I don't gravitate towards taking a lot pictures of ourselves in general, and we emphasized capturing beautiful candid moments over heavily staged shots. We also had no idea where to have the engagement photos taken, or where best to shoot at our wedding venue. Santiago provided recommendations and guidance for engagement shoot locations, and the photos were so stunning our friends asked if we traveled abroad to take them (nope, Kohler Andrae park in MKE). For the outdoor Madison wedding, it was 90+ degrees and he managed to last minute switch around photo locations to keep our family and wedding party in the shade. Our guests commented on how he was everywhere, and we still have no idea how he was able to get so many photos from different angles and locations. If you're worried he doesn't have a second shooter, don't because he doesn't need one. Both the couple/family posed shots, and the candid ceremony and reception shots are equally amazing. He was so pleasant to work with, his photography is fantastic, and we would choose him all over again given the opportunity.

Santiago was absolutely amazing!! My husband and I are from Chicago and found Santiago through the knot, where we loved his gallery from the start. Santiago was absolutely amazing throughout our entire wedding planning process. He shot our engagement pictures, which helped us get to know him a little better. 6 weeks prior to our wedding, our original photographer who we had a contract with since October 2015 backed out. We engaged Santiago based on friends recommendations and though he was unavailable to shoot that day due to another commitment, he was kind enough to email us promptly and provide leads. He did not have to do that at all and it was incredibly courteous. I cannot speak about his photography but his care and communication really impressed my fiance and I. Thanks Santiago!

The photos on his website and blog were so breathtaking and had a cinematic feel, which matched our artistic style. Luckily, he was available for our wedding day! I saw Santiago's photography here on the knot and was immediately interested, hoping he was available to do my wedding... Luckily he was and I'm so glad we had him as our photographer! Santiago captured our wedding day beautifully! He was so easy to work with and very friendly. He came early to the venue to scope out good places for photos and the extra time he gave really showed in the photos. He found a place in front of these tall trees at my church that created some of the most artistic and cool photos. He had his own artistic style and yet still listened to what I wanted as a bride in my photos and even suggested sharing a pinterest board with him to help get my ideas across. Where do I begin! My fiancé and I got our engagement photos taken by Santiago over a year ago and I cannot even describe how absolutely beautiful they turned out!
