If you are looking for a wedding photographer who will go above and beyond in every single way, hire Santiago immediately.
From the second he arrived on our big day, Santiago's de...
dication and relentless work ethic were unmatched. He is the absolute definition of hardworking, spending the entire day tirelessly moving (even running if he had to), scouting the best lighting, and doing whatever it took to capture the absolute perfect shot. He didn't miss a single beat or candid emotion, yet everything flowed naturally.
Working with him as a couple was a total dream. Santiago has an incredible gift for making you feel completely comfortable, confident, and relaxed in front of the camera. What could have easily felt awkward or staged felt effortless and fun. He brought out our absolute best, allowing us to just enjoy the moment together while he worked his magic.
And his photography style is beyond breathtaking. His artistic eye, frame composition, and ability to capture genuine feeling are second to none. Looking through our photos feels like looking at a high-end editorial magazine, yet every frame remains deeply personal and true to us.
To top it all off, we were blown away when we received our entire, beautifully edited gallery back in only a month! In the wedding world, that level of speed combined with such exceptional quality is practically unheard of.
We truly cannot say enough amazing things about him. We recommend Santiago to anyone and everyone planning a wedding, you will be so grateful you booked him!
Santiago has a talent for capturing the perfect moments at the right angles. I was a little nervous going into the wedding day since I didn't do an engagement shoot with him, but h...
e made everyone (including myself) feel at ease. He had been to our venue (the Schlitz Audubon) countless times and knew all of the great spots. He was super organized and I never had to worry about anything photography related leading up to the wedding. He also works super efficiently, I got my photos back only a month after the wedding which was half the amount of time I expected! I would 100% recommend booking him for your wedding, he is worth every penny!
We absolutely loved Santiago as our engagement photo and wedding photographer!
Santiago was extremely easy to work with, and we were so grateful for his flexibility both during t...
he engagement shoot and during our wedding. During the engagement shoot, even though it was raining, Santiago moved quickly and strategized to get the optimal photos and they came out great despite the bad weather. He knew exactly where to place us and how to direct us for the best shots, and he is a very skilled editor as well so the photos came out looking beautiful! You know a true professional by how they react in less than ideal circumstances, and he quickly found a way around the situation. :)
For our wedding day and wedding photos, he took so many amazing, emotive shots of us, our family and friends. We had a wonderful "first look" and pre-wedding photo session in the forest and by the lake at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, where he drove us around in a golf cart to get to the best spots. Santiago is a master of wedding nature photos! The way he frames couples in the forest, among the trees etc. is incredible. I especially love the zoomed out shots where we are surrounded by the forest, or the photos by the pond from a distance. We've received so many positive and glowing comments from our family and friends, saying how they look like something out of a fairy tale. The photos are GORGEOUS and it is difficult to pick which ones to print! Also, we felt so comfortable with Santiago directing us during the shoot, despite not being very used to photoshoots. :) He captured amazing photos during our ceremony and reception as well. For example, the candid photos of our parents cheering and hugging us after the ceremony are very sweet and touching. He has a great eye and is an incredibly skilled photographer. He's always quick on his feet to get the best shot. We really appreciated him putting us at ease, being so creative and all his excellent skills to capture our engagement and wedding. And during the wedding, we were so grateful for his positive energy and adaptability on a very stressful day. We were running late for the "first look" photos but Santiago was very understanding and kind. I am so glad we found him and chose him as our wedding photographer. The photos have this timeless style and we feel spoiled for choice with the amount of great pictures. He made us look stunning on our big day and we are grateful. :)
We would recommend Santiago in a heartbeat! He is a true artist and amazing professional! Thank you so much, Santiago!

joyable for both of our families, one from Mexico and one from the U.S. Being bilingual, he seamlessly communicated with everyone, which made such a difference in helping our day flow smoothly.
He was professional, friendly, and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. We highly recommend Santiago to anyone looking for a talented and thoughtful photographer!

Not to mention that Santiago is a true professional - personable and kind, will get the shots you ask for, and will make sure everyone has fun and looks good. I trusted Santiago wholeheartedly and it paid off - worth every penny.
If you like what you see in his portfolio, don't even think twice about hiring him for your wedding. We'll cherish our amazing photos forever.

He brings a warm, professional, and energetic presence that I believe contributes to the liveliness of the photos and creates an overall positive experience. as great in keeping us on schedule, directing our wedding party and family members for group photos, etc.
And last but not least, our photos came out so beautiful... they belong in a magazine!
He even photographed our invitation from his home when I forgot to include it in our detail shots...and they came out amazing and completely fit with the theme (you'd never know it was not at the venue).
Santiago captured so many amazing memories for us to cherish forever.
We could not be happier with our decision to have Santiago photograph our wedding day. He is incredibly talented and clearly so passionate about what he does. So many of our guests...
commented on how kind and hard working he was! Our wedding day was a very cold and windy day in December, and I’m not sure how Santiago did it, but you could never guess the weather from our photos. We did an engagement session with him as well, and between that and the wedding day, we felt so at ease as if we were hanging out with a friend. Truly cannot recommend him enough!
We hired Santiago for our October 2022 wedding at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center. The entire experience was everything we could have asked for and simply FANTASTIC! Communicatio...
n before the wedding was always transparent and swift, and on the big day itself, Santiago proved to be not only a creative master behind the lens but a genuinely kind, caring, and patient person whom we're so glad we got to know.
He made us feel so comfortable, even during some of our more private moments like sharing our vows and post-ceremony pictures at sunset. It honestly felt like we were just hanging out with a good friend!
Furthermore, the collection of photos he gave us is absolutely jaw-dropping and *unfathomably beautiful*. Santiago has a true eye for catching key details and capturing emotions, expressions, and moments throughout the course of the celebration. There is such a rush throughout one’s wedding day… small things that we didn’t get to see firsthand on the day of, such as the centerpieces at the dinner tables, were commemorated in Santiago’s images. When we look back and reflect on the most important day of our lives, my wife and I will forever be grateful that we invested in an excellent photographer that helped tell our story.
Also...we hired Santiago before our wedding for a fun "lifestyle" engagement session with our rescue dog! We all had a blast together and the resulting images were so special.
We would 200% recommend any engaged couple to get in touch with Santiago. You will be humbled beyond words by his craftwork and kindness.
We had Santiago shoot our LDW wedding this year and had an absolutely amazing experience. Due to COVID we had a longer engagement to try and avoid all the cancellations/size restri...
ctions that were occurring in Madison WI, and from the outset he was a joy to work with.
We are not "picture people" so his pre-planning and direction was extremely helpful for us to help visualize exactly what "shots" we wanted, and his day-of coordination was second to none. We also hired an independent videographer (which I know can lead to come conflicts as both try and capture what they need) and you would've thought Santiago & he had worked together for years the way they shared the room to make sure WE got the best results possible.
We even got out pictures back in two-weeks time (incredible for the hundreds he took) and have been looking at them nightly. Highly recommend for all fun-loving couples who like to have fun while having their lifetime memories captured!
I do not have enough good words to say about Santiago! First of all, he is so easy to work with and answered my million questions I had! He helped me figure out my timeline for our...
wedding day and made it 100% less stressful. He is so easy going and just goes with the flow, while fulfilling all of my requests. With all that said, the pictures he takes are BREATHTAKING! I was floored when we got our wedding picture back! They are so beautiful and there are sooooo many! I am so thankful that someone recommended Santiago to me. My husband and I will have these pictures as a wonderful reminder of the best day ever, thanks to Santiago!

magazine. He is amazing!
Santiago was amazing to work with throughout the entire wedding process. Before the wedding, he took the time to understand what type of shots we were looking for and what moments...
we wanted to have captured. On the day of, he provided a calm and collected presence, bringing out the best of both of us for our pictures. He effectively herded large groups of guests within short amounts of time for various shots and was able to capture a multitude of perspectives. And the best part, we could not be more thrilled with the pictures themselves. We have had multiple friends and family reach out saying that the wedding photos are the best they have ever seen. And we 100% agree! Santiago captures the moment perfectly. We could not be more pleased!

ortraits immediately following the ceremony, but Santiago was able to take charge and knock them all out! This made my mom extremely happy and grateful. All the pictures I wanted were captured and he did a great job at capturing candid ones as well. Thank you for making our big day so fun and special!!

ented!! All appreciated traits in a wedding photographer. He captured so many special moments on our big day, many that we didn't even see happen as the bride and groom, and gave us a picture perfect album of nearly 1,000 photos. We have had so much fun sharing them with friends and families as his gallery site is very user friendly. He is one of a kind and worth the hire!!!
Santiago is fantastic! His pictures are absolutely beautiful and he was so fun and easy to work with. 100% recommend!
Personable and super talented. A no-brainer hire. The best of the best.
Santiago is truly incredible, he captured our day so perfectly and we could not be happier with our wedding and engagement pictures! Let me begin by our first connect with Santiago...
, he was always so kind and helpful when navigating wedding planning, questions, the best package for us, and even building out our wedding day timeline! Santiago traveled into the city for us, we live in Chicago but we’re getting married in Wisconsin which is how we found Santiago! He made the experience incredible and seamless and was very knowledgeable of the spots we wanted to experience for our engagement pictures! He even adapted as we added a new spot week of! We had the most beautiful weather and I swear we have been told countless times our engagement pictures were so stunning all due to Santiago’s incredible work!
As for the wedding, Santiago arrived early to scope out our venue well in advance to plan the best spot for bridal party pictures and our first look. He is truly so talented and we could not believe how he perfectly captured our love. We were asked by multiple family members and friends how he was able to capture every moment by himself! Seriously no moment was missed, from speeches and laughs captured, to our first look and me walking down the aisle, our best friends sharing their excitement and joy! Seriously it was so perfect!
We could not speak more highly of Santiago and are so grateful we were able to have him as our photographer!
Santiago is an incredibly talented photographer in addition to being a kind, easy-going person! He is very easy to work with and subtly takes the most stunning photos I've ever see...
n. My husband and I could not be more happy with our photos- both from the wedding and engagement session!! He truly captures natural, candid moments like no one else. And he made us feel comfortable in front of a camera, which is not easy to do! Of all of our wedding vendors, we were most excited about him and he truly did not disappoint!

Santiago is not only an incredible photographer, but also a wonderful human being! He is so kind, down to earth, and easy to work with. It's clear he is extremely passionate about ...
what he does, and goes above and beyond for his clients! He shot our engagement session and wedding, and the pictures turned out stunning! He has the most creative eye. His style is timeless, elegant, unique, and special - making the photos everything you'd ever hope for! We've had so many people ask who shot our wedding and just compliment how gorgeous the photos are!! Santiago is remarkable. Could not recommend him enough!

tiago because come on, clearly his work is remarkable!! After doing an engagement session with Santiago and seeing our stunning photos, I had no doubt that he would capture the beauty of our big day, which was a huge weight off my shoulders and I could just relax the day of knowing he would handle it all. My husband hates photos (more than a usual guy does) but Santiago knew exactly how to make the picture process pain free for him. THANK YOU SO MUCH SANTIAGO!!!! Can't wait to see our wedding photos! 7 months later and I am still getting compliments on my engagement photos :)
Santiago was by far and away the BEST decision I made regarding my wedding (besides the man I married, of course)! I was back and forth between a few different photographers when I...
came across Santiago's work, and the thing that swayed me completely was his beautiful handling of light. All of our photos have this warm, loving glow about them, and I couldn't be happier! Santiago was easy to work with, personable, and full of energy. I highly recommend his services for your special day! You will be thrilled with the end result!
My husband and I considered dozens of photographers when we got engaged. There was something about Santiago's photographs that kept drawing us in. We could not be happier with our ...
choice! The pictures are so vivid; they really capture all of the joy and laughter. Something about Santiago's style just makes you feel like you're back in the moment when looking at them. You can see every laugh line on our faces, which is exactly the emotion we want to feel again when looking through the pictures. His range of photography skills are unmatched. We took pictures in old buildings, under tree cover, at night under Edison lights, and pictures surrounded by sparklers. In each setting the clarity is beyond anything I have seen from another photographer. We got our pictures back pretty quickly after our wedding and could not stop looking through them. It is a great problem when you have too many favorites to choose from!
Aside form the exceptional quality of Santiago's photos, I also cannot say enough about how great his personality is. I have been in weddings where photographers are a little over the top or almost seem bossy. Santiago was very laid back, yet capable of rallying groups and setting up shots perfectly. That is a rare balance and made him such an easy addition to our day. Even the men in our bridal party commented on how great he was to work with!
We were beyond thrilled with our experience with Santiago, from the day of to the photos after. We couldn't thank him enough for capturing every magical moment, in such a beautifully candid way.
We were SO incredibly happy with Santiago as our wedding photographer. My husband and I originally chose him because of his artistic view, rich color tones in his photos, and years...
of experience as a wedding photographer. He just KNOWS what he is doing. On our wedding day, Santiago was prompt and professional. He has a calming presence to him which really helped us feel more at ease throughout the entire process and especially on the wedding day. In other reviews, people mention they don’t know how he gets all the photos/angles/details without a second shooter and we completely agree. He captured everything! Don’t hesitate in choosing Santiago, you won’t be disappointed!
Words cannot express how thankful my husband and I are to have had Santiago for our engagement photos and wedding day!! We have received countless compliments on how stunning our ...
photos are, and we cannot stop looking through them! Every photo is natural, candid, and unique - nothing corny or cliche. Santiago has an incredible eye for finding the perfect lighting and for capturing the beauty in the scenery around him. He is truly talented and his passion for photography radiates to those around him. Santiago also brought so much energy to our wedding day - he scoped out our venue in the morning, picked out the most beautiful spots, and grabbed us at the perfect time for the most gorgeous sunset photos I have ever seen. He was also able to capture every amazing moment of our wedding - I honestly don't know how he did it! I don't even remember seeing him during the ceremony, but somehow he got amazing shots from every angle. Santiago was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. He was professional, made communication a breeze, and was extremely organized in helping us put together a timeline for the day of. He even got our photos to us in 4 weeks!! Amazing! Santiago, we cannot thank you enough!!!

ng weekend over and over again. I am forever thankful for him, his kindness and his immense talent. Thank you, Santiago!
Santiago shot both our engagement photos and wedding. My husband and I don't gravitate towards taking a lot pictures of ourselves in general, and we emphasized capturing beautiful ...
candid moments over heavily staged shots. We also had no idea where to have the engagement photos taken, or where best to shoot at our wedding venue. Santiago provided recommendations and guidance for engagement shoot locations, and the photos were so stunning our friends asked if we traveled abroad to take them (nope, Kohler Andrae park in MKE). For the outdoor Madison wedding, it was 90+ degrees and he managed to last minute switch around photo locations to keep our family and wedding party in the shade. Our guests commented on how he was everywhere, and we still have no idea how he was able to get so many photos from different angles and locations. If you're worried he doesn't have a second shooter, don't because he doesn't need one. Both the couple/family posed shots, and the candid ceremony and reception shots are equally amazing. He was so pleasant to work with, his photography is fantastic, and we would choose him all over again given the opportunity.
Santiago was absolutely amazing!! My husband and I are from Chicago and found Santiago through the knot, where we loved his gallery from the start. Santiago was everything we hoped...
for in our photographer and nothing but professional throughout the entire process. As we are not keen on a standing for a ton of portrait shots, Santiago did a great job of taking the candid photos we were hoping for and was always open to listening to our scenery ideas. We were so overly impressed with the quantity and quality of images that we received and would highly recommend Santiago for your wedding day!
Santiago did an amazing job capturing our Chicago wedding and we would recommend him wholeheartedly. The photos captured all the organic, natural moments we hoped to reflect, with ...
the elevated artistry expected of an exceptional wedding photographer. Working with Santiago leading up to the wedding was easy and professional. His laid back day-of presence was welcome during a time that can be quite hectic, balanced with his assertive wrangling of the the bridal party and my large family for the requisite list of pictures I provided. During the reception, numerous guests comments how impressed they were that he was everywhere, capturing all the candid moments of fun. We received our photos quickly and they exceeded our expectations. As background, we found Santiago online when searching for a wedding photographer and after reviewing his impressive website. Prior to booking, my only hesitation was that he normally operated as a single photographer (many of the Chicago photographers we spoke with operate as a team of two) and I was concerned as one person he may not have the capacity to capture all the shots in the big church we chose and the multiple hotels where we were getting ready. He put my mind at ease pre-wedding by working with me to provide a detailed plan of his movements. After reviewing the photos, this was a non-issue as he was able to capture photos from multiple viewpoints and places in relatively short periods of time. I'm so grateful we found Santiago - he's not only an incredibly talented photographer, but also an all around great person!
My husband and I (and anyone that has looked through our wedding photos!) LOVE Santiago's work. He does a wonderful job capturing candid moments throughout the day and his editing ...

ing and I couldn't wait to see what he'd do for our wedding. The weather was iffy on our wedding date, but he worked quickly to get in our first look and group shots with our wedding party before the rain came. He paid attention to details and took pictures of our tables, guest book and even the groomsmen playing a pre-ceremony game of beer pong. From the ceremony to the first dances and toasts, he captured everyone's smiles and tears, which gave me a better picture (sorry) of how everyone was feeling throughout the night. I found him on Instagram, so if you're reading this, check out his work!

t session and on our big day. Although he works alone, he is always on the move and doesn’t miss a thing. We even had several guests comment on how great he was and how hard he worked during the reception to capture everything! Not only are the photos perfect, but they were also all sent to us a little less than 3 weeks after the wedding! Seriously, he’s the best!

turing lots of different people and also capturing all the funny little moments. While his photos make him seem like he was everywhere, looking back, we really didn't even know he was there- he was so stealth at capturing the day. The photos are clear and soft. Santiago was also so easy to work with.He was flexible with our wants and needs and captured the vibe of our wedding extremely well. I would recommend Santiago to absolutely everyone!!
Working with Santiago was as dreamy as our wedding day. Being able to look back at all the moments on the best day of our lives is truly priceless and investing in a photographer ...
was our number one priority -- and we are so glad we found Santiago, who happened to photograph another wedding at our venue, which was incredibly and equally beautiful! He is responsive via multiple channels (text, phone, e-mail), answered any and all questions, assisted so greatly in the day-of timeline (like there is no need for a day-of-coordinator), and also felt like an old friend who happened to be extremely professional and fun to work with. Santiago has an incredible eye and will capture so many moments you never even knew happened on your wedding day, while also making you feel comfortable in front of the lens. We haven't been able to stop looking at our photos and will cherish them for our lifetime. Do not hesitate to hire Santiago for any occasion!

how stunning each and every picture was. His eye for framing beautiful scenery, but still focusing on the couple is unparalleled. You would have had no idea the groomsmen were getting ready in a conference room!
His day-of manner put my husband and I both at ease. He made us laugh and let us soak in each and every moment we had together. He's an extremely warm and easy-going person to work with—which is exactly what you want on your wedding day.
There is no need to consider any other photographer besides Santiago! You will not be disappointed. Through out the entire process, he was such a pleasure and so easy to work with....
He was always so responsive and available, and took the time to get to know us as a couple. On the day of the wedding, he made us feel so comfortable and relaxed, and it truly shows in all of our photos. We've received so many compliments from friends and family on our wedding pictures, and can't wait to display them in our home.
We are so happy that Santiago was a part of our special day, we could not be more thrilled. Many thanks, Santiago, you are amazing!

nticipated our needs and was timely in turning around photographs. He was also very easy going but also appropriately authoritative with our large wedding party! We have received SO many compliments on our photos and our reception venue even added him to their recommended vendor list as they were so impressed with him. I'd highly recommend hiring Santiago for your wedding day! It was by far one of the best decisions we made when planning our big day.
We found Santiago through The Knot after searching for photographers that were near the Milwaukee area. After viewing his website (http://www.santimurillo.com/) we just had to have...
him photograph our wedding. The photos on his website and blog were so breathtaking and had a cinematic feel, which matched our artistic style. Luckily, he was available for our wedding day!
My husband and I live and Tennessee and were not able to meet with Santiago before our wedding, but over phone calls and FaceTime, he was able to ask us questions and get a feel for what we wanted for our wedding. He was also incredibly responsive throughout the planning process and arrived early to scout out locations at our venue, which matched up with what we had in mind. It was a pleasure working with Santiago and his photographs of our day were beyond beautiful! He was so fun, he had us laughing a lot, and was very professional. He captured so many amazing candid moments, I don’t even remember him being behind the scenes (he’s like a ninja), and we were so pleased with the final results. We were smiling so much reliving the day through the photos! Santiago is a truly talented photographer.
We have received so many compliments about our wonderful wedding photos from our friends and family, too! They very impressed and glad we chose him as our photographer! We highly recommend Santiago (Murillo Photography)!
