I'm Sara, a photographer living in Nashville, TN by way of Milwaukee, WI. I love coffee, hiking, cats, beer & cheese(it really is true about us Wisconsinites).
I seriously love weddings and love how unique each and every wedding is. Being able to capture couples on their happiest day never gets old. I strive to photograph my couples as they truly are, in the quiet moments and the not-so-quiet moments. While most of my shooting is in a photojournalistic candid style, I have a love for beautiful portraits as well.
This is more than just my livelihood. I’ll laugh and cry with you, and I’m not afraid to teach you how to wobble. I feel so lucky to do this, and I put my all into it for that exact reason. I would be honored to be a part of your unique love story!

For our wedding weekend, Sara captured beautiful pictures at both our rehearsal dinner/welcome party and at our wedding. It was important for us to have the standard couple/family/detail shots, but equally important to get the real, candid moments. We expressed this in our communications with Sara, and she absolutely captured this--we couldn't be happier with our photos. Every time I look through our wedding album, I find another picture I absolutely love--there are too many beautiful photos to choose from!
Additionally, Sara really set the tone for the entire wedding day--acting calm, cool and collected and making everyone feel comfortable--there was no stress to be had from the bridal party, or during family photos, which is not always the case.
Beyond being an absolutely fantastic photographer, Sara is incredibly organized, responsive and truly cares about her clients, taking the time to get to know them and what they are looking for. We can't recommend Sara enough!

ork with what we wanted. Sara made the engagement and wedding shoots fun (with random games), and was overall very flexible and accommodating of any of our ideas. Even though there was still some directing/posing involved, it still felt very natural and it showed in the photos, which still felt very "us." She was also quick on her feet to figure out how to shoot in a place she had not been to before, and adjusting accordingly to fit the situation (lighting, posing, random locations like a pizza place, etc).
Despite us living in one place and having the wedding in another (and neither of those being Nashville where Sara lives), there didn't seem to be anything lacking in communication. Responses were timely and the pre-wedding survey was helpful in gathering information for what we wanted. Coordinating the engagement and day-of wedding shoots were pretty easy as well.
We really enjoyed the photos that we received - our photos captured our personalities well, as well as the small unplanned moments with family/friends during the wedding day itself. I thought the photo editing was very natural as well, and will hold up through time. Thank you again Sara - was a pleasure working with you!

Based on the sneak peeks she posted less than 24 hours after our wedding, we know she absolutely captured all the magic of our day and can’t wait to see the rest of our photos.
