She has a natural eye for spotting non staged pictures, while her portraits are just as great. Sarah has a way of making everyone feel comfortable and relaxed, which helps with the more traditional photos (and with people that hate having their picture taken). Each photo is a creative work of art that celebrates a special day of love and happiness.

Sarah made the entire wedding experience very easy and fun. I planned a wedding in a few months time and felt very overwhelmed. Sarah made me feel relaxed and confident. She could be a wedding planner with all of the wonderful ideas she had! On the day of the wedding, she kept everything moving along and organized. I didn't have to worry about anything. And she's related to my husband! When we asked Sarah to be our photographer, she was in the beginning of her career as a wedding photographer. Even though she was just starting, it was her obvious skill that made me believe she was the photographer for us. Sarah has an innate knack for portraiture, and it often seems as if she's reached something within the subject's soul. With the experience she now has, I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again. Even though I've known her all my life, and was already very comfortable with her, Sarah has the type of personality that will make any bride instantly at ease with her. Sarah captured both our engagement photos and our wedding day, and did a marvelous job weigh both. I highly recommend her.

We hired Sarah to take pictures for the half hour before our wedding while everyone was gathering, during our hour long ceremony, working off a list of shots we wanted to see, and for an extra hour after the ceremony. We elected to have pictures at a local nature preserve between our ceremony and reception with just my groom and I and Sarah. This was a great idea as the pictures turned out stunning and it gave us a spot of quiet during the busy day. I was delighted with how beautifully Sarah used the lighting and landscape as well as how she edited each shot to give multiple looks from each picture. Sarah was easy to work with, kept in touch over email, was great with follow-up, and took exactly what shots we had on our list. This being my first - and hopefully only - time planning a wedding, I wasn't sure of all the details and things that would be important to me. Looking back, I would now probably have asked Sarah to take a lot more pictures in the church during the ceremony and with our bridal party and families. I would have asked her to use her artistic judgement during this time and not just stick to our list. I did appreciate that our package included a CD with all the pictures so that we were able to go through everything slowly and print out what we liked. And her updates on facebook gave our friends an early glimpse which was especially nice for those far away. Overall, Sarah was very professional and comfortable to work with. I would recommend her in particular for outdoor sessions.

I used Sarah Amelia Photography for my engagement photo session, and am also using her at my wedding in September. First of all, Sarah has a very warm personality that helped my fiance and I feel comfortable before taking pictures. I wasn't really sure about where I wanted to have the photos taken, so she gave me some ideas. The actual photo session was the right amount of time. It didn't feel too long, and she was open to suggestions from us about certain poses. I also liked that she had great ideas on poses that made me look a bit slimmer in the photos. That's always a bonus! Overall I was very satisfied with the experience. Sarah had the online portfolio up pretty quickly. Her prices are fair. She obviously has a passion for photography and it shows in her work.

Sarah was a great photographer for us. She had lots of ideas and tried many different things to create a one of a kind photo experience! She captured us being together and has a real eye for using the natural surroundings around her to create stunning backdrops. The images are still displayed in our home 3 years later! Our couples session was great and we would recommend her to anyone.
