Sarah and Dave were such a peaceful presence during the wedding planning process! They were so easy to work with and their calm demeanor was so helpful on the hectic wedding day! The pictures turned out wonderful and we got a large number back to choose from! Very happy with our decision to have them photograph our wedding!

Essentially- Sarah and Dave are awesome!!! They were the perfect balance of professional and fun (not that 'professional' ISN'T fun) :-p. But Sarah and Dave were integral to our wedding experience- and documenting it naturally as well. They were practically members of our wedding party but simultaneously 'invisible'. -At no point did I feel like I had to 'pause' in the moment of the wedding festivities for them to document the moment. They were just always in the right place at the right time to grab the perfect picture. They took just the kind of photos that we wanted and then so much more. Having great photos was a major consideration for my bride and I so we chose our photographers very carefully. And choose well we did! I normally hate being in front of the camera (I'm an avid photographer and went to college for film production so I had a very clear idea of what kind of photos I wanted- and my bride had her thoughts as well. Sarah and Dave both took suggestions/ requests but also had a fantastic eye for great moments/ angles to capture all on their own. Some of our favorite photos were suggestions on their part and we had a blast during the whole experience. I like to think they had a fun time too. You can really tell that they love what they do and that shows in the end result. I'm so glad we trusted them to capture our engagement and wedding and will recommend them to any fellow friends/ family getting married or wanting big events documented. Our photos are truly beautiful and they captured so many great photos of the event and family and friends as well having special moments that my bride and I couldn't be a part of. It's a shame that you can't be everywhere at once at your own wedding but in a way I feel like I was thanks to the comprehensive photos that they took. I hope to work with them again in the future (I'm hoping to convince them to do baby pictures when the time comes :-p) and couldn't be happier!!!

AMAZING! I'm not sure where exactly to start on how amazing they are as a team, so if all you read is the first tid bit then I feel like I have done them justice. Let's begin at the frantic search for a wedding photographer in the Richmond, VA area while living in San Diego, CALIFORNIA. It is less than fun, but Sarah was extremely quick to respond to my request for more information. Then after talking on the phone with her I just knew she was the perfect fit. I did not meet Sarah & Dave face to face until the day of the wedding, which honestly wasn't something I was too worried about. They have a couple of questionnaires that you and your beau fill out, they ask any follow up questions if your answers are vague or don't make sense. They learn so much about you and your beau before the big day they aren't random strangers taking your picture. They get to know what you are looking for from a wedding photographer so they can make it happen for you. So enough about the planning, let's get down to the nitty gritty of day of. I can't sing enough of their praises. They were EVERYWHERE! I'm serious, they said they sat down and ate, but I don't believe it. They were EVERYWHERE, they caught so much that even I missed. We had a gelato bar, which I heard was great, I never got to see it, but Sarah & Dave saw it and got phenomenal pictures of it. I didn't spend as much time dancing as I would have liked, buuut you guessed Sarah and or Dave were there. I am truly still in awe of how amazing the pictures came out. If you are on the fence about booking them. DON'T BE! They have a great eye, and they are a top-notch team. They work seamlessly together. Sarah & Dave are truly a pleasure to be around and work with.

Sarah and Dave are simply the best. They're the nicest, most down-to-earth people and really care about getting to know their #SDcouples. We met with them for an interview in their adorable home, then did an engagement session at Belle Isle with our dog. Sarah was easy to communicate and work with and made us feel at ease. On the wedding day, she and Dave were extremely professional but also so excited for us, which made us feel like family instead of clients. I think Sarah and I were equally excited to take pictures with baby sheep! We LOVE our photos and our friends and family comment on them all the time. Also, Sarah submitted our photos to Richmond Weddings Magazine, which were picked up for a "real wedding" feature!! We can't say enough about how great they were to work with. I know the rest of our vendor team felt the same way, because they were added to our venue's preferred venue list after our wedding! If you want bright, clean, natural photos from a sweet and professional photography team, go with Sarah & Dave. :)

This husband and wife team made the photography process quick and smooth, while still being detail-oriented and organized, all with GORGEOUS results in the end! Could not be happier choosing Sarah & Dave Photography as my wedding day photographers. Easy to work with, attentive, and professional with what they do. They really understand all aspects of the wedding day and were even able to anticipate and capture important moments. Worth every penny.

Sarah and Dave of Sknow Photo are the absolute BEST at what they do. My Husband Christopher and I met them at a wedding expo about 2 years ago and immediately after meeting them and seeing their work we knew we had to book them (and did 3 days later). It was seriously the best wedding vendor decision we ever made. Not only are Sarah and Dave amazing at what they do (my engagement and wedding photos are the most beautiful things ever) but they are ridiculously nice people. They made an effort to get to know us as a couple, checked in on us during the wedding process, and were always there to answer any questions we had. When shooting with them they were always open to our ideas (even when we had crazy requests- like recreating the friends engagement picture) :) we couldn’t be happier that we hired them for our wedding and we will continue to work with them any time we need professional photos done in the future!

My fiancé surprised me during the proposal by having Sarah and her husband come and shoot the proposal and do some portrait shots as well. Even though I was very overwhelmed, Sara did a great job of calming me down and making sure we got amazing pictures. I loved the pictures so much that I also hired her for my wedding and engagement pictures. Highly recommend!

I met Sarah at a bridal expo, putting my name in a jar in hopes to win a wedding package!! I'm pretty sure this was the only one I entered because I loved her pictures and style so much!! Somehow, I won and that was it!! We couldn't have asked for a better photographer!! Sarah and Dave are so down to earth. My husband and I are both pretty quiet and why people so connecting with a photographer was concerning but they made it so easy!! We connected with them right off the bat, they are just those kind of people. They always made us feel natural while getting such amazing pictures!! Working with them before the wedding and during the wedding was so easy, Sarah answered any questions that I had and always made it a point to break everything down for me!!! They were overall just fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone!!!

Sarah at Sknow was one of the first vendors I booked and definitely one of the best! Upon meeting her and Dave I immediately felt comfortable like old friends. They are very laid back but still very professional and responsive. During our engagement shoot they made us laugh off the awkwardness even though we didn't have the best weather. It had rained all morning and we had just enough time to get our photos taken before it started pouring again. The photos were phenomenal and I'm certain not every photographer could have made that weather look so beautiful! Sarah and Dave did a great job wrangling all 10 (yes 10!) groomsmen. The photos from our ceremony are perfect and I never felt like the interfered with the intimacy of that part. My bridal portraits look like the came from a magazine. They didn't miss a detail! I can't say enough wonderful things about Sarah and Sknow Photo! I am constantly looking at or showing friends photos of our wedding. I promise you will not be disappointed!

Sarah did a wonderful job with our family photos. We have no complaints. We were swarmed with compliments after we got the photos. They are so special. This was our first family photo shoot She suggested great poses , and was friednly and easy to work with .We could not have been more pleased and will cherish the photos forever. You will not go wrong hiring her!

Sarah and Dave did a fantastic job on our engagement photos! They were a pleasure to work with and kept us laughing, smiling and looking our best the whole time! They provided just enough direction that we didn't feel aimless, but really managed to capture us just being us. It was something I had really been nervous about, but ended up being a fantastic experience and just makes me even more excited for our wedding day, because I'm confident that we'll have tons of amazing pictures from Sknow Photo!

I wish I could give Sarah more than 5 stars!!! Her and her husband were absolutely amazing on our wedding day. They really worked with our budget to help give us what we needed. They were so great getting the right pictures and very patient with all of the crazy people we had at our wedding. They made taking pictures a lot of fun. Not to mention the photographs turned out to be the most beautiful picture I've seen, she is brilliant and very talented. I can't imagine that anyone would be unsatisfied with her. Absolutely perfect!!!!!!!!!!!! We used Sarah for our engagement photos and fell in love with her work from day one. It really put me at ease for the wedding day because I had already seen her work of us from the engagement. Boy would I need that! My husband and I were supposed to get married on 1.23.16, but due to snowstorm Jonas, we had to push our wedding a day to the right. We couldn't move it any further because of multiple deployments (mine, my husband, brother, friends). The weather wasn't much better on 1.24, but without fail Sarah and her husband were there. The pictures she captured are priceless. The snow covered Naval Academy pictures are beautiful. We can't thank her enough for capturing all of our special moments. We will use her again and highly recommend her company to anyone!

Sarah was awesome from start to end. Sarah worked with us to find a good date for our engagement photos and drove down to Alexandria for them. My husband hates having his photo taken, but she and her assistant made it an enjoyable hour. The thing she had us fill out before the wedding was very helpful to understand how she was going to work and to think through everything we needed to do for pictures. She was plenty early to the ceremony and on point with all of the pictures that we wanted. After the ceremony we did most of our pictures and they made it run smoothly and efficiently. They took any picture we asked of them at the reception and were great at photographing all the important moments. Sarah put up pictures on her blog the week after the wedding which was a lot of fun to come home from our honeymoon and get to see. She finished all of the editing before the date she had told us and I cannot stop looking that final product. There are so many amazing pictures, and I love them all. Overall she did such an awesome job, and we are so glad we chose Sarah.

Wonderful! My husband and I were so happy with the pictures that we have seen so far (we had a very large sneak peek posted for us from Sarah about a week after the wedding!!). Can't wait to see the rest of them!
