I have over 15 years of professional seamstress and design experience and take a lot of pride in my work. owledge are unmatchable. Initially I had started off inquiring about creating a gown from scratch, which Sarah happily discussed with me. However, I eventually found two gowns that I wanted to combine. Sarah not only understood my vision but was just as excited as I was about bringing it to fruition. I purchased a satin fit and flare gown and then a tulle overlay which was actually from another gown. I desperately wanted a detachable skirt/overlay. After altering the base gown to my measurements, Sarah then added easily managed hook and eyes for the detachable skirt. She also created elbow length gloves from scratch which mimicked my grandmother’s gown, a very sentimental detail to me. In addition to those details, Sarah also fixed my mother’s wedding veils to finish off my look. Sarah absolutely brought my dream gown to life. I truly enjoyed my experience working with her. I appreciated that her enthusiasm throughout the process matched my own. Knowing that someone you’re working with is just as excited as you about your wedding planning process is a great feeling. I was able to take my time during each appointment, trying on different accessories, and asking questions to which I received honest answers. Because Sarah has such a warm and inviting personality, I was able to fully enjoy my bridal gown experience. I was never once concerned at any point in the process. The option to add on a bridal gown preservation was also a huge plus. Don’t even question booking with Sarah – just do it!

wedding in some way. I knew I didn’t want to wear it for my wedding day, so I thought about something for my bridal shower. I loved the top part of the dress but the bottom was not my style. So, I decided to ask if she would be able to take the top part and make it into a bodysuit for me while still keeping the integrity of the dress. To say she knocked it out of the park would be an understatement. She took such care of such a personal piece of mine and kept everything else in tact. My whole family was surprised when I showed up and it brought such emotion. I also asked Sarah to make handkerchiefs and pocket squares to surprise my family with on the wedding day so that we all had a piece of my mom’s dress with us to remind us of her. Finally, I wanted myself to have something to wear. I decided to create my own wedding shoes with appliqué from the dress. Sarah gave me guidance to do so and they turned out exactly how I had hoped. Throughout this process, Sarah helped me heal in so many ways that I don’t know if she realized. I was so lucky to have Sarah on this journey with me and will be forever grateful for the care and support she gave me. thought it would never fit me again the way that I envisioned (and thought I might end up with a wardrobe malfunction). However, Sarah Betty worked her magic and was able to reconstruct the entire top of my dress to make it fit like a glove. The finished product looked like it was made for my body and was no longer sitting weird in the bust. Even though the dress had an intricate design and sequence/sparkle on the top half, Sarah Betty was able to make it look like it was never touched. I am still amazed and in awe at how it was actually possible. You can truly tell by her work that Sarah Betty puts her heart into all that she does for her clients. I cannot recommend her services enough and I will definitely be using her again in the future.

nging it would be to add sleeves to it. After going to several other seamstresses, I realized this was a bigger task than just slapping on some sleeves. It was redesigning the top and back of my dress. I found Sarah on a local FB group and reached out to her right after ordering my dress. I told her what I was looking for and sent her a photo of the strapless dress and right away she was able to draw up what was in my head just from our first email. That was when I realized she was going to be able to make my dream dress a reality! Every interaction in the next year was great, she truly wanted to make sure I was happy and comfortable. Not something I had always found as a plus size bride dress shopping.
The final results were better than I had imagined. When I tried on my dress in the original shop I didn’t have that teary-eyed moment I expected and I always thought it was bc it wasn’t the dress I imagined for myself. Well in my final fitting, I had that moment in Sarah’s home office, crying seeing myself in the dress I had imagined but couldn’t find on the rack. Thank you Sarah for making me feel beautiful and confident on my big day, you are truly talented and a wonderful person to work with!
