Sarah Elizabeth Events is an event planning and design company based in Charlotte, NC. We love helping our couples bring their vision to life by helping nail down a design that is uniquely "them." Sarah Elizabeth Events enjoys partnering with the most amazing vendors and especially working at The Duke Mansion, Foundation for the Carolinas, Mint Museum, The Ritz Carlton– Urban Garden, Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, Biltmore Estate, and Old Edwards Inn and Spa to name a few. We also look forward to working with new and innovative vendors across the Carolinas (and world!) and finding just the right fit for our couples.

bout the wedding industry and clearly loves this work, which made the planning process more fun because she really bought into my vision, shared my excitement and helped me bring our dream wedding to life better than I could have imagined. While I had some vision for what I wanted, Sarah Beth opened my eyes to so many details that I had never considered, but really walked me through the planning and decision making processes so it never felt overwhelming. My mom also helped me with wedding planning and together we can be quite indecisive, but Sarah Beth was so patient with us and kept us calm by giving us the confidence that we were on track.
Outside of being a delight to work with and helping me stay relatively stress free during the planning process, one thing that really stood out were Sarah Beth’s vendor recommendations and connections within the industry. I was happy with every single vendor and really wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding. Not only did Sarah Beth have great suggestions for everything - from the big things (band, photographers, videographers, florists, stationer) - to the little special details (guest book, dance floor favors, edible flowers for signature cocktails, etc.) - she really tailored her recommendations based on what I wanted and my vision. The two florists I met with, for example, had portfolios of work that were spot on with the design I was looking for. Also, we followed Sarah Beth's recommendation for a band and booked them first, and many of our wedding guests said our wedding band was the best they had ever heard. The dance floor was packed all night. Sarah Beth had great go-to contacts for everything - from linens to antique getaway cars and made sure her recommendations kept us within our budget or was transparent about when something we wanted would exceed our budget. She also managed all of the vendors from a timeline perspective so we didn’t have to worry about remembering when to submit final payments, confirm final details, etc. leading up to the wedding, which was a huge help. I also want to add that we had an unforeseen issue with the wedding cake planned through our venue about 3-4 weeks before the wedding and Sarah Beth was able to immediately secure a really fantastic cake vendor at the last minute who perfectly executed our wedding cake - it ended up being one of my favorite details. She didn’t even call me to tell me that there was an issue/concern with our original cake until she had a new vendor lined up who could make the cake I wanted. To me, that says it all!
After working with Sarah Beth for over a year to plan our wedding, I can’t recommend working with her enough. Thanks to her attention to detail, expertise and experience our wedding planning process was seamless and enjoyable and our wedding was absolutely perfect! Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We were already impressed by everything she did throughout the planning process, but the day of the wedding we didn’t worry about a single detail and everything just happened exactly as planned, which was wonderful because it just allowed us to be present and enjoy every moment. The photographers she recommended were PERFECT. Their low key personalities were just what we needed and their work was excellent. I LOVED our flowers and working with the florist was a dream. We don’t know a ton about flowers, but she heard the vision and executed beyond my expectations. Could not have been more pleased with “the feel” of the reception when I walked in. Every vendor we worked with was top notch and Sarah Beth navigated the ways in which they all needed to coordinate on the big day.
Now, my words about Sarah Beth personally....and I hope I can do it justice. The grace and care and love and respect with which she treated us and everyone involved in our wedding as a vendor or guest was extraordinary. My daughter and I are good decision makers, but we knew NOTHING about the process. Sarah Beth educated us without making us feel stupid, she listened to our every word (and all the things we didn’t say, but felt!). She never made us feel like a choice was wrong even when it may have differed from what she would have chosen. She never pressured us to spend money on things we were not on board with and her ability to constantly reassure us without ever seeming tired or annoyed was amazing.
I thoroughly enjoyed the process and didn’t think I would. I resisted the idea of a planner at the beginning, but now fully credit Sarah Beth for the fact that I enjoyed the wedding weekend so much.

From the first conversation I had with her, I loved how friendly and professional she was. She cared about what I wanted and asked all of the right questions. Planning with Sarah Beth was very easy – she was extremely organized, efficient and thorough.
When it came to our wedding day, everything went wonderfully. I didn’t have to worry about the vendors showing up, as she had been in contact with everyone throughout the week and day of. My (now) husband and I hired Sarah Beth for Month of Planning services. She went above and beyond to ensure our big day was as stress free as possible. She kept us on time with booking key vendors, was extremely helpful when needing to make a final decision, and coordinated with all of our vendors with timelines and floor plans so our big day went off without a hitch. She even came by and picked up a car load of "details" for the reception at my mom's house so we wouldn't have to worry about coordinating the drop off on the day of the wedding.
We live in Seattle and had our wedding in Charlotte where our families currently lives. Sarah Beth was always readily available to help with any questions or hop on a call for a sanity check :-) I would not have been able to get through planning a wedding from afar without her help and organization.

f a wedding/designer. Our venue required one, so we began searching. We met Sarah Beth early in our search and were immediately very impressed by her professionalism, thoroughness, ideas, and responsiveness to our communication. This was really just the beginning.
Sarah Beth was there for us at EVERY step of the wedding planning process with advice, support, etiquette, emotions, communication with vendors, you name it. She is responsive to communication at all times, even nights and weekends (other planners had told us to expect communication during M-F business hours only – we were both very busy and planning an out of town wedding, so Sarah Beth’s flexibility with communication was very helpful and made things move along more quickly and smoothly.) She is an incredibly supportive planner who truly, in her heart of hearts, seems to want her brides to have the best day full of everything they love. She is she does not impose the things she thinks are trendy or important in a wedding, but rather lets you choose what you love and what is personally important to you, and helps you shape it into something beautiful. We had a few custom things we wanted that we weren’t sure how to even start acquiring, and she navigated all of this design process for us. It helps that she is SO NICE; vendors clearly love working with her, so they are more apt to do you favors via her!
The week before our wedding she was so focused on us and making sure we were prepared with checklists, schedules, timelines, and many other things I didn’t even know we needed. She was there the day before at our rehearsal checking on vendors, rentals, food, and overall running the show, and we were so prepared because of it! Our wedding ran perfectly with no hiccups (that I knew of.) Many family members and guests commented that it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to, and the smoothest wedding they’d ever seen. Tate, her assistant, was also amazing at helping pull this off. We had the absolute best day of our lives.

During my engagement, Sarah Beth handled communication and coordination with all of my vendors along to designing and creating floorplans and vision boards for my reception. She styled our wedding beautifully , while keeping our budget on tract. She did a lot of meeting with vendors and kept me in the loop, but did not want to give me more than I could handle. She allowed me to be as involved or uninvolved as I wanted to be.
Our wedding was on New Years Eve and had basically all out of town guests. She juggled our guest list, all of our vendors, handed out all of our party probs, set up and cleaned up all of our New Years mess! She was the reason our wedding ran smoothly. At one point she even helped me change!
We had a friend officiate (this was his first wedding), and 15 kids in the wedding. With her expertise, she helped give a template for the ceremony, and ran our rehearsal dinner.
