Sarah earned a bachelor’s degree in photography from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Her education has given her a well-rounded background in her chosen profession, and she is always looking for opportunities to develop and hone her skills. Sarah favors natural lighting, and she does not use flash photography unless it is necessary. Sarah will treat you and your celebration with the utmost respect and attention. She wants you to enjoy working with her, and she hopes that your wedding collection will bring you joy for many years to come.
Sarah Gates Photography covers engagements and wedding day celebrations. Sarah is also available for boudoir, portraits, and family sessions. She offers a range of wedding packages to suit a variety of needs and budgets. Package features and options include up to eight hours of event coverage, a second photographer, an online gallery of high-resolution images, and social media sharing. Destination wedding packages are also available.

ease having our photos taken, despite us typically not being super comfy in front of the camera. Sarah really listened to what we wanted and pivoted on the fly as needed. She shot through terrestrial rain with a smile. She was the super hero of the day because when the weather changed for the worse, she brought 15 clear umbrellas for the bridal party to use.
The quality of her pics are outrageous. We didn’t want super formal pictures, and she nailed it- you can feel the love through them, which is all we wanted and more! Her pictures allow me to relive the day and the emotions of it over and over, and she delivered the sneak peaks very quickly!
Beyond all this, Sarah is an absolute joy to work with and one of the kindest people. We had a vendor mishap a couple days before the wedding and reached out to her for suggestions late at night, and she immediately responded willing to help, and had a vendor friend of hers on board to help us before I woke up the next morning. She is the kind of person you want on your team for your wedding or any event! We’re looking forward to more photos with her in the future. Thank you so much, Sarah!

the planning, to our engagement shoot to the actual wedding day, she was wonderful to work with and made the whole process seamless and above all, fun. Our engagement shoot was the first time my husband and I had been professionally photographed and she helped guide us through different poses and made us feel totally relaxed. It felt as if it were one of our friends photographing us. One moment I won’t forget is when Sarah saved the day by bustling my wedding dress (in less than 5 minutes) when my mom and sister were struggling, but not before handing me my signature cocktail to sip on while she went to work. The photos themselves came out beautifully and really told the story of our magical day.
