As a wedding photographer, I knew what we wanted in a photographer for my daughter's wedding this past Aug. We wanted a professional with experience. We wanted someone who would provide clean, crisp images with great color. We wanted someone to capture all the details, events and spontaneous moments of the day. And we wanted someone that we would enjoy spending the entire day with. I knew that Sarah J would fit the bill! And she surpassed our expectations in every way. The wedding was not an easy one to cover, I'm sure. It was all outdoors (and it was hot!), it was a fusion of Indian & American cultures and there was a lot to cover! When we received the images from Sarah, I was brought to tears! Sarah & Joe captured all the details that we took hours to put together, she captured all the events perfectly - all the emotions! But what struck me most was all the "people". A wedding day is so hectic that you are not able to talk to everyone. When I saw that they had captured so many images of our guests, I was so very grateful! I highly recommend Sarah J - from one photographer to another - she is awesome! Out of all of the vendors I booked for my wedding, I was the most disappointed in Sarah J. Though our pictures were decent, her behavior was less than professional. The day of the wedding, she was late arriving to my parent's house which seemed to set the tone for the rest of the day. Also, prior to our wedding day, she lost our detail sheet and asked if we could fill out another, we happily obliged. However, the day of our wedding she seemed to have either lost the sheet again or had forgotten everything we had discussed. She even seemed to be put-out when we suggested we take a picture in front of our church, an idea she had approved prior to our wedding. She also had promised to make us a "thank you" sign to be used for our thank you cards. That sign never materialized. Additionally, we had a large wedding and she seemed extremely flustered by large crowds--not a trait I appreciated seeing in a wedding photographer. And what's most upsetting is what happened after our wedding day. It was very difficult to get a hold of her and she often made promises she could keep. As a result of her negligence, we received our wedding album a year after we ordered it. We had paid her in-full prior to the wedding, so I don't understand why we were treated so poorly. When I read glowing reviews from other brides I feel cheated. In the beginning I gave her the benefit of the doubt and just assumed she was having a bad day. But now, over a year later, I realize there was really no excuse for her attitude and lack of professionalism. She made an already nervous bride even more anxious on her wedding day, and for that alone, I wouldn't recommend her.

Sarah is wonderful. She is a professional and talented photographer with a charming and sweet personality. We felt like she was an old friend within minutes of meeting, which is exactly what you want out of a wedding photographer. I found her to be a pleasure to work with and we are very happy with our photos.
