As the groom, my main goal was just to make sure I kept my future bride as happy and stress free as possible. It was easy to stay in contact with Sarah when I would think of something whether it was by email, phone call, or text. She was always quick to respond. Sarah joined us at our vendor meetings and was a huge help in asking all the questions I didn't think of. She was so detail oriented and thought of absolutely everything. Being a guy, it was also a plus how thorough she was in explaining the appropriate wedding etiquette. My wife and our families loved the way the wedding turned out. We just couldn't imagine our special day without Sarah. I will forever be grateful to her and her team. I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone who is looking to have a stress free and beautiful wedding day.

I am definitely not a planner and I can never make up my mind...ever! So planning a wedding was very much overwhelming in all regards. From helping me gather and book vendors down to the detailed itinerary, she was always ready when I needed her! While she was not working the event in an official capacity, she was always ready to put on her expert hat. Just an example of how Sarah came to the rescue: It was about 20 minutes before the ceremony was going to start, and I realized I was one boutonniere short for my brother. He asked me if I had one for him...and, of course, the answer was no; but Sarah, quick, calm and collected, immediately had the idea to just steal a rose from one of the many bouquets and pin it on him (wiping sweat off!). I’ve seen her absolutely excel at handling a guest list of 300+, but Sarah’s considerable and versatile talents extend to intimate gatherings (like mine) as well. The personal touch in designing and coordinating an event is her specialty. She is used to clients who are not certain of what they want, but I was a different challenge for her in that I had a ton of ideas. So I just laid out allllllllll my ideas for her, and she just brought it all together for me. She truly was a wiz at guiding my vision into fruition and arriving at that perfect wedding theme. And in executing that vision, she was beyond creative. She is one crafty lady and truly amazing at what she does! Sarah completely understands the pressure of planning such an important event, understands how overwhelming it can all be. She 100% wholeheartedly cares about making the entire planning experience as stress-free and fun as possible, and of course making sure your wedding day is the most memorable day of your life! She is the sweetest, most compassionate, personable, and thoughtful person. She is attentive, reliable and… just there for you. Trust me when I say you want someone like Sarah to be there planning such a meaningful event.

wedding. I went back and forth so many times trying to decide what I wanted for my wedding. I didn’t truly decide on a theme until just a few months before the big day. She really listened to what we were envisioning and made sure that our wedding day was beautiful! Sarah was a total master at configuring the layout. She was very attentive and responsive to me and all of the vendors. There were so many details and behind the scene things that she covered not only the day of the wedding, but also in the weeks leading up to it. On my wedding day, we all had a detailed itinerary so everyone knew the plan of things. I honestly did not worry about one thing the day of because I knew Sarah was there! Her assistants were amazing as well! All of our gifts were packaged up and all of our personal belongings were kept safe and taken care of. We hired Sarah because we needed a total professional and someone with outstanding organizational skills and Sarah more than delivered. But, what stands out the most is that she was a complete joy and pleasure to work with! She loves what she does and it shows. I would highly, HIGHLY recommend Sarah as a wedding planner/coordinator!!!

From visiting venue after venue, dealing with a very challenging father of the bride, working full time and planning her own wedding in the first few months Sarah always made me feel like I was a top priority. I am not the most organized human (by a long shot), Sarah did a wonderful job giving me "bite-sized" amounts of things to accomplish at a time, setting small goals made everything feel so much more manageable and kept me from getting overwhelmed! Even when the panic would set in Sarah kept me calm, reassured me and did everything in her power to help me make decisions, providing suggestions and making sure I was informed every step of they way. I also had Sarah style our engagement session, we used that as a trial for wedding day hair and makeup artists. I wear scrubs everyday so picking out pretty clothes is NOT my strong suit, Sarah even went shopping with me for a day and helped me pick our simple but gorgeous outfits for the engagement session, styled my fiancé and came with us on the photo shoot to make sure everything went smoothly and we got everything we wanted done. Sarah coordinated vendors, provided monthly updates, kept an extremely detailed budget, kept track of contracts and payments to be made and made sure myself and both of my parents were all on the same page and in the loop (no small task!!). Fast forward to the wedding day, after MONTHS of planning, texting, phone calls, meetings and visits it was finally time. Rehearsal went off without a hitch, the day of the wedding Sarah was already at the venue bright and early making sure everything arrived and was set up beautifully, meanwhile keeping in contact with myself, the groom and his rowdy brothers and making sure that everyone had everything they needed, hair and makeup was going well, the boys had their tuxes and even making sure that my surprise gift got delivered before the wedding! SUPER STAR!!! the wedding was GORGEOUS!! I had NO idea an event venue could look like that, I was so impressed, I could finally see all of Sarah's hard work come to fruition. The guests had a BLAST, we heard nothing but wonderful things about the wedding all night. Benjamin and I were where we needed to be when we needed to be there without feeling like we were missing out party. The way that Sarah set up the flow of the evening was phenomenal, everything was so smooth, we got to see and mingle with our guests and have some time to celebrate the night just the two of us to cherish the moment without feeling like we were being rushed through the evening. Even when small disaster struck and the bustle of my dress was ripped out Sarah's team snapped into action and in 5 minutes I was back on the dance floor without any of the guests even knowing I was gone! Throughout this whole process I called Sarah our own personal Wedding Wizard, and she lives up to the name! She is passionate, competent, knowledgeable, experienced and has great contacts within the wedding community and vendors. If I had it to do all over again I would just have Sarah plan my whole life! I wish there were more stars I could give her! You will not find a sweeter, more passionate, caring, amazing person to plan the most special day of your life!

But, on her wedding day, the bride was the complete opposite of a stress ball- and I think we owe a lot of that to Sarah's organization linked with her calm, cool , and collected attitude. And it wasn't just the day of that was perfect (which let me just say again..... It was beyond perfect)- but everything leading up to the event was done perfectly as well. The contacting of vendors, the venue, making sure Mara's vision was not lost amidst all of the wedding chaos, including the parents' of both the bride and groom in all decision making.... I can't think of another word to describe how she knit it all together other than "perfect". She also talked me off a cliff when I was a ball of anxiety before my MOH speech.... And for that, Sarah, I'm eternally grateful. Whenever the day comes for me....when I get to marry my special someone.... There is no competition of who will be planning it- Sarah Lydia Events has got that spot on lock!!

Sarah offered unique yet elegant ways in which to decorate the wedding reception which was attended by nearly 400 guests. Even though my daughter’s wedding party included 15 bridesmaids and 15 groomsmen, plus the house party, Sarah was able to keep everyone on track and ready to go when it was show time. We couldn’t have pulled off such a beautiful wedding without Sarah and her staff. I highly recommend Sarah Lydia Events to anyone who’s planning a small, intimate gathering or a large, formal affair.
