ah. I cannot say enough good things about Sarah Mattix. Not only are our photos absolutely gorgeous, Sarah is just a lovely person and the easiest to work with. Communication was fantastic and you feel like you’re hanging out with a friend. I’m someone who feels a little awkward in front of the camera so it was so important to me to find someone who would make me feel comfortable and help me pose (because I have no idea what to do). She helped me and my now husband and I cannot believe how incredible our pictures came out—my husband who is also not super comfortable in front of the camera looked like a GQ model.
She was also so fast in getting our photos to us. We don’t live in New Orleans but Sarah was so accommodating and fit us in for an engagement shoot on the Tuesday before our wedding….by Thursday we had our photos and were able to print and display them at our rehearsal dinner.
And this girl knows New Orleans and weddings. Not only is she an amazing photographer—she was also super helpful when I asked her for recommendations on other wedding plans. She was so friendly, helpful and prompt.
Sarah, you are the best!!!!! There is nothing negative to say—unless you’re indecisive like me because she will probably give you too many stunning pictures to choose from!! Seriously, could not be more grateful. I am so happy I found Sarah and so happy I have so many amazing pictures to remember this huge milestone in our lives.

Having beautiful photographs of our wedding to cherish forever was my top priority. So, after booking my venue and finalizing our wedding date, I started looking for a photographer...
. I loved the photos I saw on Sarah’s website, and after speaking with her over the phone, I knew she was the photographer for us. On the day of the wedding, she and her second shooter, Eddie, came to our hotel on time and took photos of us getting ready. We then did a first look and as many photos as we could with our wedding party and families before the ceremony. After the ceremony, we had a second line to the reception. Sarah and Eddie did an excellent job capturing each moment of the day. The photos were edited and returned to us quickly, and they are all beautiful! Now our only issue is having to choose which ones we want to print and display in our home. There are too many good ones to choose from! Sarah and Eddie were a real pleasure to work with. They were professional and fun and worked so well with all of our guests. We are so happy we chose them to capture our wedding. We are grateful for everything and would highly recommend them for any events!
