I feel so fortunate to have found Sarah Morrill. As soon as we stumbled on her website, my partner and I knew that Sarah was the photographer we wanted to hire for our wedding. Working with her far exceeded our expectations. We were initially reluctant about doing couples photos, but ended up traveling to Puerto Rico – where my partner & I met – with Sarah, and I’m exceptionally glad that we did. We took Sarah around to lots of our favorite spots, and had an incredible day with her. Sarah is easygoing, fun, and an overall a joy to be around. She made us feel as comfortable & relaxed as we possibly could taking photos together, and the photos she took are stunning. The photographs she took of our wedding day were equally, if not more, impressive. The photographs transport me back to the day, and I’m not sure I’ll ever get tired of looking at them. We are so grateful we found Sarah to be our wedding photographer - she is AMAZING. From the beginning it was great to work with her as she worked with us to create a package that fit our needs. Her can-do attitude and creativity were very helpful for keeping us calm and still getting great shots during the rainstorm that blew in right before our ceremony. She really goes above and beyond, from driving me to our first look location to staying late at our request to capture more dancing photos. She executed our requests with poise (the form you fill out ahead of time is detailed and very helpful) and was great at gently directing the family and friends photoshoots - not an easy task! And most importantly, the final photos we received are divine. She captured so many wonderful moments and they are nicely arranged on a beautiful website that we can share with our loved ones.

Working with Sarah was one of the best wedding decisions we made! She is incredibly talented, creative, professional, accommodating, passionate, so much fun to work with, and her portfolio speaks for itself! Sarah was prompt and professional in all communications leading up to our engagement shoot and our wedding. She made us feel incredibly comfortable in front of the camera, and went out of her way to accommodate and create some of the wacky shots we had in mind. She also recommended some incredible vendors which we loved and hired. Sarah was instrumental in planning our wedding day timeline, and even drove my husband and I around between our first look and ceremony because we had forgot to arrange transportation! We love her vision and our photos look incredible. Sarah was also such a calming presence to us on our hectic wedding day, and did an amazing job corralling our crazy families. We could not be any more pleased with our photos & overall experience with Sarah! I will be the first to admit that we are not the most comfortable people in front of a camera, however Sarah made us feel comfortable from the start. We were able to take a lot of scenic photos in Acadia National Park at dusk and they all turned out better than we imagined! She is a very personable, genuine & talented photographer.

Sarah's eye is on target. She beautifully captured the feelings and sense of time my family shared on my wedding day with a grand collection of images. Every single photo is a piece of art! Sarah was beyond a doubt one of my favorite wedding vendors and, I hope to say now, a friend! Not only is her work absolutely superb, but she is kind, easy to work with, and a completely un-intimidating photographer. You know those photographers at weddings who are bossy and seem to be shouting to get people in line? Sarah is the exact opposite, and I'm positive it's the only way that we got fantastic photos of my dad, who absolutely hates to be photographed and was worried about someone getting aggressive with him over it. Sarah has a knack for shooting details and candid moments that capture the day and the atmosphere, not just the people and not just portrait shots. It's easy to feel comfortable with her and around her, and I can't believe how well she did our day justice. It's also important to point out that she was incredible flexible with the schedule of the day to fit into our budget and ensure that enough of what we wanted was captured. I think she is a bargain considering the end quality of our photos! I remember having breakfast the day after my wedding with some of our guests and getting the first few shots of our day. It was one of those moments of pure joy you get only from an exceptional photo of a monumental day in your life. Sarah was amazing to work with on our special day! We clicked right away and I knew she was experienced and qualified the first time we spoke. On our wedding day, she was very attentive to details and kept us cool and collected. She managed to get all of the important shots without ever seeming to be intrusive or in the way. What initially drew me to her work were her candid shots, which are still some of my favorite from our wedding! Her communication about her work and payment process was very clear and organized. Sarah was a joy to work with and I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Sarah was great! She completely understood the vibe we wanted at the wedding and took the time to meet us several times before the big day. We completely trusted her, which is important when you have someone capturing intimate moments. From our very first meeting Sarah was a joy to work with. She is very personable and really went above and beyond to make sure that she was able to capture our day the way we wanted it. Sarah Morrill Photography was amazing to work with and I would highly recommend them. Sarah was AMAZING! We are so happy we found Sarah on the Knot site! She was an instant connection right away. She has a great eye and sense of lighting and composition, it was apparent that she had exactly what I was looking for in a photographer for my wedding. I am also a photographer, and so the process was daunting to find someone to photograph me, as I'm usually the one behind the camera. Our first meeting was over a video conversation chat on Skype. She answered all of our questions and seemed so knowledgeable. Patrick and I left that first conversation already knowing she was the one. Sarah exceeded my expectations as another great photographer, and my worries were at ease immediately. Our engagement photos were beautiful. We were so happy with our engagement photo session. She took the time to come out to a location we loved in Maine, and we got some amazing shots. She is so natural behind the camera and with us one on one. At our wedding she exceeded our expectations! She went above and beyond to get all the shots I had always wanted, she just "got it". We did so many shots before the wedding with my bridesmaids, of my dress and the setting, and she got some amazing shots of first looks and my husband and I in a field. She even snuck us off during the reception to do super secret long exposure photos, under the starry sky on the coast in the water. The photos turned out incredible! We could not be more excited to have worked with Sarah. She truly is an amazing artists and photographer. And she made our big day come to life! We initially approached Sarah just based on the photos she had taken and posted on her website. It seemed like she was really able to capture the feeling of a wedding rather than just take a lot of still pictures of dressed up guests. Our pictures were no different. On the day of the wedding Sarah and her second photographer seemed to be everywhere capturing the life and emotions of our wedding. We did very little staged photographs preferring to get more candid shots. She was very easy to work with on the day-of and had excellent ideas of how to incorporate the little details of our wedding within our pictures. Our venue consisted of a barn and a field as well as some forested area. The barn is very old and the lighting was not excellent but Sarah was still able to make us and our guests look amazing. Our pictures came out even better than we expected. Sarah was very easy to work with and understand while she was shooting and directing us, and was very patient with my easily distracted family. My only negative comment is that communication was not reliable both before and after the actual day of our wedding, and she did not respond to our inquiries as quickly as we would have hoped.

Disappointed by Sarah's lack of responsiveness and failure to deliver pictures timely. She continually made promises that she could not keep and this was very frustrating. Be prepared to have to nag her for your pictures.

When my husband and I sought out recommendations for local wedding photographers, Sarah's name came up over and over again. From our first meeting with her, we knew that we were working with someone who would listen to our goals and aesthetics, and honor those in how she documented our wedding. It was incredibly easy to communicate with Sarah. She has a very relaxed, laid back tone and it helped tremendously while navigating our wedding day and our wide variety of wedding guests. While orchestrating the many family posed photos, Sarah was calm and personable while still being assertive enough to get the job done in a timely manner. You have a lot of people asking you a lot of questions on your wedding day, especially if you did most of the planning and executing yourself. It is hard to not become a complete stress ball when another person looks to you for direction. Sarah was able to take what very little direction I had given her previously and just intuitively know where to be and what to do. She has a way of speaking that sets you at ease and lets you know she is there to help make things as enjoyable and chill as possible. She truly felt like a friend, a wedding guest, and our photographer all in one. The results of her work were really quite stunning. She captured all aspects of our big day, noticing the small details that we were too busy to see while also being present for the big moments. She created images which were timeless, candid, and beautiful. All of our family and friends who have seen our wedding photos have commented on how truly unique and lovely they are. I highly recommend Sarah Morrill Photography for your wedding day. I know we will look to her to capture the other big moments in our life!

Booking Sarah as our photographer was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. From the moment she was on-board, she was supportive, attentive, and competent with every detail relating to our photography needs. We did engagement photos with Sarah, and our wedding photos included "getting ready" pictures as well as photos of the ceremony, reception, and family portraits just after the ceremony. Sarah made sure to ask which portraits we wanted specifically, and was very responsive when we decided that we wanted a very informal, non-structured photoshoot just after the ceremony for just the two of us. She took wonderful shots of us in a shorter period of time so that we could get back to the party and enjoy it! I did appreciate, however, that her paperwork and contract was very detailed and comprehensive - if we had wanted a more structured or longer photoshoot, I have no doubt that she would have provided that with ease. Sarah put a lot of thought and careful attention to detail into photographing my wedding. She was a great presence with my family as my sister and I were getting ready, and introduced herself to everyone without hesitation. She even brought prosecco for us to enjoy as we got ready - although in the chaos I ended up sticking it in my luggage and my new husband and I had it later! When my sister and I suddenly found ourselves as the last people to leave for the ceremony, she offered to drive us there in her car to relieve some of the transportation burden. She drove us to where we needed to be and then quickly turned around to start taking photos! Sarah took great photos of the ceremony, of our families, and of the reception, all with grace and thoughtful-ness. She suggested certain shots gently, and was always in the right place at the right time. I can't stress enough how great she was to have at the event itself - my whole family loved her, but especially my grandmother, which is a huge plus. Last but not least - the photos are beautiful and really capture the tone of the event. She set up a lovely website that I could share with my family so that they could view and order photos, and she emailed me a super-cute custom flash drive with our names and the date with all the photos on there - more great details that show how much she cares. In short - our experience with Sarah has been wonderful from start to finish. We recommend her for your event whole-heartedly!!
