After just our first meeting, I knew Sarah would be the best fit! She is so organized that there was not an ounce of stress when it came to planning out the day leading up to the big day. Her and her sister joined a call with us a few weeks leading up to the wedding to discuss our photo list and requested vibes for our big day. When her and the team arrived, they brought a calming presence in a somewhat chaotic scene (10+ women getting ready in a crowded, messy hotel room). Throughout the day, they helped me and my fiancé feel extremely comfortable and natural getting our couple shots. We have a huge family and they followed every single photo request we had to a T!!! We received photos the morning after, then a few more a day after, and THEN a sneak peak of our video trailer last night (2 days after the wedding). We are obsessed with our photos and can’t wait to see what the whole gallery looks like.

errals but was having trouble finding someone (with a portfolio that I loved) within a reasonable price range so I reached out to Sarah after reading through her reviews on The Knot and scrolling through her website. Sarah was really organized in our initial consultation and I think what also made it a very easy decision was that her sister Melissa owned the videography services so I had confidence that they would work very well together on the wedding day. I've heard a lot of horror stories about vendors not working well together and knew that this could easily be avoided by hiring them as a team. From the on set, Sarah was very proactive with her communication and through virtual conference calls and forms, she ensured that her team knew all the shots I wanted, the ambiance I was hoping to capture, and all the important wedding party and family members. During both the engagement shoot and wedding day, Sarah and her team were extremely professional and their presence felt very natural...which I really appreciated since it can be a very anxious and energy draining day. While we had planned for specific photo locations in Central Park, Sarah also had great intuition of capturing us in a few random spots as we were traveling between sites and one of my favorite photos from the day was an unplanned shot. She was also really flexible with pausing upon my request and taking a few extra photos in front of other landmarks. An added sweet bonus was her assistant constantly checked my dress prior to each shot and would help style or straighten out my train so the photos could look perfect. I got 2-3 sneak peeks immediately the following day, a preview with ~25 photos and a video trailer within 2 weeks, and the full gallery and wedding video were delivered on time within 6-8 weeks. And the photos were all a WOW...they were beautiful and as much as I loved seeing all the photos that we pre-planned, I also loved some of the candids that were also taken of my family and reception dancing. They were so full of life. And while I know everyone can be biased about their wedding, I've had friends comment that I should submit some of the wedding photos to be featured in magazines! Lastly, I know many debate whether to hire a videographer but anytime I watch my wedding trailer, it provides a little ray of sunshine and takes me back to my wedding day, so it really is worth it. In closing, there are so many decisions to be made when planning a wedding, but hiring Sarah and Melissa Wight as my photographer and videographer was probably the best (and most important) one I made!

our sneak peek photos are more than I ever could have dreamed of. My husband has limited patience for taking photos and Sarah was so efficient that we spent less than 30 minutes on formal photos and she still got everything I had wanted. We completely switched up our photography timeline during the wedding as well because we didn’t want to take a break from dancing as we’d originally planned and she was so flexible and easy-going. Throughout the entire day, Sarah made us so comfortable and relaxed that it felt like we were old friends. I truly cannot say enough about what an impact she had on our wedding day. She perfectly understood my vision for both our engagement shoot and our wedding day even though the wedding photos I wanted were slightly non-traditional and more cinematic. You cannot go wrong with Sarah. She is a true professional and there aren’t words to describe how highly I recommend her. We also hired her sisters last minute to do videography and I’m so glad we did! They worked together seamlessly and clearly have a wonderful team dynamic.

She had an uncanny ability to capture us in our true elements, knew exactly when to give us more concrete direction, and was ALWAYS doling out confidence-building compliments that made both my wife and I feel like a million bucks. The last bit, I attest, speaks more to Sarah as a person than just a photographer... which is to say that by hiring Sarah, you're not only hiring a grade A photographer, but also a grade A human being. Throughout the day, our family and friends (who were also under the guidance of Sarah) were quick to point out how incredible she was to work with and how natural they also felt in front of her camera. During cocktail hour, Sarah knew the perfect time to pull my wife and I away for some extra sunset photos and, at dinner, she was incredibly mindful and unobtrusive - subtly snapping photos of us and our guests while also allowing us all to enjoy and soak in the moment. Several short hours after Sarah was complete with her day, she surprised us by going above and beyond and sending my wife and I a few spectacular photos from our ceremony earlier in the day. Needless to say, we were just blown away by her work and how she captured our special moment. In the time since our wedding, Sarah has managed to send us some more samples from our wedding and holy moly! She is truly incredibly at her craft. Any words I can use to describe the photographs she has sent us would simply not do them justice. With all honestly, Sarah is one of the best people we have ever had the privilege of working with and we were so so lucky to have been able to have her capture our special day for us. We had requested a location she had not shot at previously but it's where my fiance and I met and she was 1000% on board and actually even more excited that it was meaningful to us. I am not the most comfortable in front of a camera and Sarah did such a great job of making it more of a natural experience for me. Her calm and sweet demeanor made us both so comfortable; so much so that out of the hundreds of photos we received from her, there are only a couple that aren't our favorites (yeah... there's THAT many favorites). I read many wedding blogs that mention to be mindful when looking at photographers because the way they edit the photos is a large portion of what you pay for and not only did Sarah edit these photos exactly as I hoped but the booking, shooting, and the interactive process was so easy and pleasant that we could not imagine anything better. The only bad part was the anticipation building waiting to see the full gallery because we were so excited! If you are considering Sarah for any type of shoot, I cannot recommend her more!

She could see angles, light, and areas of our small venue that just worked for us. She really understood the vibe we were going for and captured it. Our favorite pictures ended up being the night time quick round we did after dinner. These are absolutely stunning! If you are looking for city skyline at night, call Sarah. Lastly, getting married during a pandemic is tough, weddings are smaller, and pricing is something we are all considering, but Sarah has developed a great system for all couples looking to lock in your love! I would hire Sarah for any occasion!!

After the photoshoot she had our pictures ready in what feels like record time, which was awesome! We love our photos, and have been staring at them nonstop for weeks! I was expecting everything to go well based on my gut feeling after our initial exchanges, but the whole experience exceeded my expectations. She was invested in our story and did a stellar job. We would recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a wonderful memorable experience!

Our wedding took place outside of NY (she travels!), but in the months leading up to the ceremony Sarah set up several calls, emails and a video chat with me and my husband to get to know us and what we valued most in terms of capturing the day. From the start, communication was very easy and I felt like she offered sound advice while also honoring our wishes. Sarah offers several tiers of service - we opted to have her add a second photographer - and that was money well spent since we had multiple venues throughout the day that needed coverage. Sarah clearly loves what she does and that was apparent throughout the process. On our wedding day she and her 2nd photographer were friendly yet professional, I honestly didn't notice them at all during the entire ceremony and they got some great natural shots without blocking anyone or distracting from the proceedings, which I know can be a challenge. Sarah was gracious and kept a good sense of humor throughout, which was much appreciated - especially when a hail and wind storm broke out in the middle of our couples shoot on top of a mountain pass :) She made it work and the photos still looked stunning. The following day, she sent us a preview gallery of about 20 shots, with the full gallery available in about six weeks. Purchasing prints from her website is also very easy. In sum, I definitely recommend hiring Sarah - I couldn't be happier with her service as well as the quality of the photographs. Well worth the price for capturing such a special day!
