My daughter was advised to order one size up in order to do alterations correctly. I went with Caroline for her first fitting. The alteration specialist seem to be quite competent as he talked about her need for bra cups, he talked about the side of the dress it looked like it was going to be perfect.
Caroline went back for her second fitting and the dress had been taken in to the point where she could not sit down nor could she walk freely. She was terrifically upset and contacted the head of your alterations department who assured her that she would have the perfect Sarah seven experience.
She went back they re-altered the dress they let it out —we were quite concerned as the seams had already been taken in, and that is why we ordered the dress originally one size up so that we could not see any kind of let out seam in the dress.
During the entire process there had been a big discussion about the cups that you all were to sew in to the dress and how they needed to be trimmed. Caroline came with her friend the third time around and they could all see that the cups needed to be trimmed, your seamstress included.
Let’s fast forward to when Caroline picked up the dress and she wanted to try it on one last time and your alteration specialist said absolutely no need to do that. I have never had anything altered that I did not check out to ensure that it had been done correctly.
When she arrived here in Florida with the dress we tried it on right away Caroline was concerned the side of the dress puckered out a bit —day before the wedding —nothing to be done about that. And then the day of the wedding her photographer said ‘every single picture I’m taking of you has those cups showing’ we taped it down we adjusted as best we could he literally cut the cups out of the dress. Talented photographer for sure.
They NEVER sewed in the cups properly and my photographer had to cut them the day of my wedding, see me naked and I had to wear sticky boobs with my SS dress. Worst vendor I hired was SS to do my tailoring. Please spare yourself the trouble and get it altered elsewhere.

Even though it was just my mom and I in the store, Lauren still made me feel so special and was so genuinely excited when I decided on the dress. on Pinterest and was ecstatic to find out that it was designed by Sarah Seven and that there was a showroom in Chicago! I am pretty sure I tried on every single dress in the showroom during my first appointment just to make sure I had found the right one.
The Sarah Seven team made the dress buying and alteration process a breeze. I had heard that dress alterations can be tedious and cost just as much as the dress, so I was very happy that Sarah Seven offers to do all alterations. The in-house seamstress knows the dresses and is able to fit your gown perfectly.

I bought the Ivy dress and could not have been more thrilled. I went with the in-house alterations and it worked perfectly. I cannot imagine a better experience for shopping for my wedding dress and am so glad I went with Sarah Seven. The ladies there really knew their products, knew how far each sample could be pushed, and knew how to interact with their customers (no pressure and no pushing me into a dress I wasn't sure about). with her. That being said, the woman working the sales floor kept asking me the same questions over and over during the course of a fitting, as if she wasn't even listening to my replies. It seemed that she was trying to do her job but her attempts to engage with me were off-putting. The salon also replaced my dress without telling me after I had paid in full. I lost a decent amount of weight in the months leading up to my wedding so the salon determined that the dress I originally purchased was too large. They replaced my dress after the first fitting with another one in the same style but a size down. What bothered me was that they didn't tell me until I arrived for my second fitting. When I asked why they didn't call or email me beforehand to let me know that they were doing this, the saleswoman said she didn't think it was a big deal. Springing a new dress on a bride who has already dropped $3K with no advance warning is a bad idea. I loved my dress but I was disappointed by the customer service experience at Sarah Seven.

but figured that we would have a better time. Alana really put a damper on a great and fun day we were having. I am not sure if she was having a bad day but personal issues should be put aside. She wouldn't let me try on dresses that was $500 over my budget. I understand that bridal shop don't want you to fall in love with something you cannot afford but a $500 dollar difference is not that extreme of a gap. I tried on a dress that was high neck that I was not fond of and could not try on any other dresses with high necks. My crew informed me that she was rolling her eyes and making faces while she was measuring me, I am a curvier female. The dresses were dirty and there we dust balls in the fitting room. Granted that the fitting rooms were small but she would just hand me the dress. My girls had to help several times to zip me up. It was just a very different bridal experience that I have not encountered. I was ready to run out of there. I am not sure if they cater to people of color but we did not feel welcomed at all. It felt like that scene in Pretty Woman where Julia Roberts was turned away based on her looks. Very unhappy and will not recommend to anyone!

However, at the end of my appt I was deciding between two dresses and unlike most stores, you can usually come back within a day or two of thinking it over and order your dress at the same price as it was at your initial appt…not here. You get a 10% discount if you order it same-day which I feel is a very tacky sales tactic, and as a bride on a budget I felt very pressured into making a decision. Had I been able to think it over a few days and not lose out on the discount I would have probably ordered a dress here, but this offer they provide left a bad taste in my mouth. I get it, once a bride leaves its probably hard to get them back to buy a dress, but I ended up buying a dress at a place with no gimmicks and who put me as a priority instead of the sale.

ater came back with friends and she was more than happy to show me everything again. Sarah's designs were so much more ethereal and light than any of the other dresses I tried on. They worked with me to modify one design by adding a train and taking off the sleeves. It took about 5 months for the dress to come in, but then it was all great. They've stopped doing free alterations, but they did a great job with mine. Everything fit so well on the big day. Definitely go check them out!

Sarah gets a lot of orders and seems a little overwhelmed so be sure to order early and keep tabs on her. I had to email her a TON of times and she was a few weeks late in sending my dress but luckily she tailored it perfectly and it arrived in plenty of time for me not to worry too much.
