Sarah was so sweet!!! We had a great time doing a our engagement photos with her and then on our wedding day. She was on time, professional and had all the details. She got right to work photographing all the little details, made sure all the girls got their dresses on and mine with plenty of time to get to church. She and her assistant were very respectful of our church rules and the photos turned out great. Most of the time I never even saw her and was able to focus on the big day and my guy. She had also scouted a very cool spot to take a few photos on our way to the reception which was a nice surprise and the photos were great! She was super smiley and seemed to genuinely have a good time which made us feel so comfortable in from of the camera. I would highly recommend her!

Sarah was an absolute joy to work with throughout the entire process of our wedding planning. She was always in contact with us and ready to answer any and all questions. She made the planning process so easy by taking care of writing our day-of-timeline. Not even three weeks after the wedding and we already have our entire wedding gallery. Our friends and family were raving about her expertise and professionalism at the wedding and now they are raving about our photos. I would choose Sarah to do any pictures we need in the future and would recommend her to anyone for their wedding/engagement photos.

We hired Sarah to photograph our wedding and our engagement session. From week one, Sarah has found so many ways to impress us. From working on our weeding timeline, planning our first look, and finding ways to pamper us, she has been incredible to work with. Sarah came to my fiancés home town of West Branch, Iowa, to shoot our engagement photos. We had an absolute blast with her. Not only is she sweet and energetic, but she knows how to capture your love story. Sarah delivered our photos about a week after our session and I was in tears looking at how gorgeous our album turned out. I cannot wait for Sarah to photograph our wedding day. I know she is going to keep the day running stress free, and deliver the most beautiful wedding album I could ever imagine.

Sarah has been a photographer for our family since I was a senior in high school. She did my senior pictures along with my younger sisters and family pictures as well! Sarah is the only photographer that I would have chosen to do my wedding because she is hands down the best photographer! We are over the moon about our pictures and she always does such an amazing job!!! She knows how to style everyone to make them look their best. I would recommend Sarah to any bride that is looking for an amazing photographer to capture the biggest day of their life! Sarah is the best!! :)

Sarah did our engagement photos as well as our wedding photography. Not only are all of our photos absolutely breath-taking, but Sarah went above and beyond the call of duty. Sarah found out she was expecting before our wedding and her due date was close to our wedding. Sarah took it upon herself to higher two back-up shooters just in case. She completely put us at ease and got us our photos within a week of our wedding! Sarah takes the time to get to know her clients so that she can make sure the photos are a representation of their character. I would recommend Sarah to anyone who wants a one-of-kind, personal photo experience.

My husband and I got married this fall at the Watch Tower Lodge in Rock Island. We decided to hire Sarah Sunstrom Photography as our engagement and wedding photographer and we couldn’t have been happier with the results! Sarah’s photos from both events were absolutely stunning! In addition, she was great to work with. Her sweet personality combined with her energetic spirit made my family and bridal party fall in love with her. She is seriously the best!!

Sarah is the first wedding vendor that I would recommend to anyone and everyone. She not only took breathtaking photos, she went above and beyond to make the day perfect! She was on the ball, making sure that the rings, bouquets, etc, were given to the correct people after taking her detail shots. I have absolutely NO memory of her doing this, she did it behind the scenes so that I wouldn't have to stress about it. Sarah's efficiency helped the family photos to go quickly and smoothly, she went from giving people orders as to where to stand, to helping me compose myself when I started to get emotional over some family issues. This woman knows what she is doing, hands down. Everybody knows that wedding pictures are an investment, but what people don't realize, is that the photographer herself is what truly makes the investment worth it!!! I am so glad that we had the opportunity to work with Sarah as she made my wedding day 10,000 times better!

I first went to Sarah to photograph my May 2016 wedding, which she also did our engagement/family session (I have a son from a previous marriage). Even with a little rain, she not only captured the perfect moments between my husband and I as a recently engaged, blissful couple, but she also captured the adorable moments between my son with my husband and myself. Her photo magic only got us that much more excited for our wedding day! Come the wedding day, we had an absolute downpour all day! Again, Sarah didn’t let us down! Even though we couldn’t hit many of the locations planned, she left us with incredible photos of the day as if everything went as planned. To this day, we continue to use her for all of our photography needs. Everyone always raves on her skill! I can’t say I have ever met a photographer who works as much magic as she does to capture the perfect pose, angle, lighting, etc!!

Initially I was in love with Sarah's work and just had to have her for her photographing and editing style. After meeting with her the first time, I knew she was the one I wanted, even though she was more expensive than most with less freedom with your pictures than most. She then came back and said oh sorry I'm busy that day after I had already had my heart set on her. We worked it out to have one of her other photographers work with us, ashley, who was great! There were some miscommunications about the engagement session which we were told was a part of the package that we paid for and then we ended up still having to pay for them. When problems or concerns would arise Sarah was completely unwilling to communicate with my wedding planner on my behalf (which is why you hire a wedding planner.) and she got very defensive and almost rude. I felt like a burden to her as she is/was always posting on social media about how busy she is and how she would rather be with her family. That just doesn't look good for a business owner. The icing on the cake is she emailed all of her clients the week before my wedding that she was letting Ashley go. She never mentioned that Ashley would finish out the projects she had started. So here I am the week before my wedding freaking out. I had to email and ask for clarification. I would not recommend her to brides to be because working with her was more stressful than helpful. I felt like I was working for her when in fact she was working for me.

Sarah is an absolute joy to work with. Her professionalism and attention to detail did not go unnoticed on our big day. We were looking for that certain "light" we saw in her photos online and she did not disappoint. We have so many beautiful images to treasure for a lifetime. Can't wait to work with Sarah again soon.

After doing many google searches for wedding photographers in the Quad City Area, I came across Sarah's wedding blog and immediately knew she was the photographer for our wedding. Her pictures just didn't capture two people standing there they captured the excitement, love and joy of your wedding day. When my husband and I got back out wedding photos we were overjoyed with how perfect they turned out. It was like reliving the day. And we got to see moments that we didn't get to witness during the day. I can't say enough about Sarah, her professionalism, her quality of work, and just the overall sweet person she is. If you are looking for the best, Sarah is the one for you!

Sarah was awesome to work with. She did a phenomenal job all the way around. She was patient with my party, very organized, she got every shot I wanted, and she had a great attitude. She definitely helped my day go as smooth as possible. She found out my father wasn't in the best health and she reached out to me and wanting to come shoot weeks before my wedding just to make sure we had pictures together. That alone showed me I have a one of a kind photographer on my side. She was a sweetheart! My perfect day took place and my father gave me away and we got our pictures thank God! 8 days later on Easter he he pasted away. Sarah found out and she sent me pictures of my father and a canvas to me over night for his visitation. She is not just a great photographer but she's a angel! I will never be able to thank her enough. She's simply amazing!

Sarah's photos were absolutely gorgeous! I love her editing style. She is professional and extremely organized. She was more expensive than other photographers we met with, but it was WELL worth it! Her editing style is the best in the area. I would highly recommend Sarah, especially if you are having an outdoor wedding.

Sarah was a wonderful photographer to work with! Her work is absolutely beautiful and she does a great job of making you feel relaxed and at ease. I appreciated her working with us prior to the wedding to ensure we had all of the shots we wanted. She also did a great job of rolling with the punches when we wanted to make any last minute changes. I also loved having a second shooter. I think that makes a big difference in the variety and quality of pictures you get (especially during the ceremony!). We love our pictures, but they are a little on the pricier side. However, the quality of her work definitely sets her apart from the other photographers we considered!

From the beginning, Sarah was professional and very courteous. She actually met us twice before we had a contract because I initially met her by myself. I told my husband (then fiancé) about her and he also wanted to meet her. She met with us again and answered all of our questions a second time with just as much patience as she did with me the first time. We were an older couple and were nervous about the wedding and having our pictures taken but she reassured us which helped us tremendously. She was so kind and easy to talk to, we knew we were making the right decision having her do our wedding pictures. Sarah was wonderful the day of the wedding and it was a pleasure working with her. We decided to do our pictures before the wedding and no idea what we were going to do for the first reveal. Sarah had us do something that I won't disclose here, but it was truly amazing. It brought unexpected tears to both of us. It was awesome! She is so easy to work with and captured our wedding day perfectly. She had some wonderful ideas and everyone in the wedding party agreed that she was very professional and fun to work with. In order to get the attention of a 2-1/2 year old flower girl for some pictures, she even sang a few lines of "Let it Go" from the movie Frozen. She had some great ideas and made all of us feel special. Sarah is a very talented and professional photographer and combined with her down-to-earth personality, she is a true gem not often found in today's world. I absolutely recommend Sarah for any photography sessions you ever need. I would definitely use Sarah Sunstrom Photography again!

Sarah did an excellent job photographing our wedding reception! Her professionalism is amazing. I'm the type of person that doesn't like having my photograph taken. But Sarah made me feel very comfortable in front of the camera. So Relaxed, I forgot she was was there. And she got some great shots of my husband and I laughing together. We will be hiring her for some family photos!

I fell in love with Sarah's work the first time I came upon it online. My fiancé, at the time, and I were browsing the Internet for photographers in our area. I loved Sarah's photography style so I called her to get a quote. Sarah was truly interested in what I wanted and wanted to get to know me to see how we would work together. She's interested in capturing memories. Soon after our engagement photos we ended up moving to Georgia for my husband's job. Sarah made it very easy to get everything set up from 13 hours away. In the end I couldn't have asked for a better photographer and experience. We LOVE our pictures that capture the memories of our wedding day.

I can't say enough about my experience working with Sarah...she is awesome! Initially I wanted Sarah to be my wedding photographer because I loved the style and look of her photos. They are soft, the lighting is always perfect and her pictures just have the most beautiful glow. After meeting with her and discussing my desires for the wedding I liked her even more. She was so kind and easy to talk to. She has a passion for photography and you can just tell she loves what she does. Sarah did our engagements pictures as well as our wedding pictures and both exceeded my expectations. She is the perfect blend of professionalism and fun. My (now) husband isn't the best at smiling for pictures and yet Sarah was able to make him laugh and smile and caught everything perfectly on camera. Sarah is easy to work with and captured my wedding day perfectly. She adds so many extra touches and makes every part of the process special. I would hire her again and again if I had to do it all over. After the wedding I even told my husband I had decided that Sarah was going to be our "family" photographer and we would hire her anytime we need family photos in the future. :) I absolutely think Sarah is the best and highly recommend her. Sara Sunstrom is not only an amazing artist, but a beautiful person inside and out! She captured everything from our wedding in a way that represented us to a "T". She took her time getting to know us, our wants, needs and hopes and created beautiful artwork for our walls. Everyone that comes to our house, whether for the 1st time or the 100th time, always compliments our pictures on the walls. Special memories, frozen in time, printed on beautiful canvas. I couldn't have asked for anything more perfect!
