From the very first email, I knew that I had made the right decision. Her attention to detail and commitment to capturing every beautiful moment of our day was apparent from the very beginning. And she is delightful! We now consider her not just a friend, but family. We LOVED hanging out with her on our wedding day. We LOVED that she managed to be everywhere all the time. I LOVED that she was a solid voice of reason to keep me calm when I was freaking out about being late to my own wedding. She knew the best places around the downtown Asheville area to get us some really beautiful shots and I absolutely can’t wait to see them.
You get one shot (pun intended) at getting beautiful wedding photos. I haven’t even seen mine yet and I know that they will be utter perfection. My husband and I paid for our own wedding and had to stick to a very strict budget, but agreed to not put a price on two things: an open bar and an amazing photographer. Her prices were incredibly reasonable and she even stayed past our designated hours because the party was still going strong. The thing that impressed us the most during this was how she kept things moving along while also checking in to see how we were feeling, and this continued throughout our ceremony and reception. h was so great to work with. She would email about backgrounds for our Photo Booth and was willing to go on a search for gold sequined fabric for ours. She made photo booth props that were all custom for my husband and I. Sarah and I would share picture ideas on Pinterest to come up with a list of all the pictures we wanted. Sarah took pictures for us at our rehearsal dinner and wedding. She was so professional that sometimes we forgot she was there taking pictures! She blended into the scene so seamlessly! At the wedding she was able to take all the pictures we wanted and they are absolutely beautiful! k about everything I wanted her to photograph, if there was any story behind what I was wearing, etc. She was also able to get the groomsmen to behave long enough to take photos - which is not easy to do with those guys! She could also tell when my husband started to get cranky from all the photos and tried to make him feel as comfortable as possible while wrapping up the posed shots.
All in all, I couldn't have asked for anything more from a photographer. She was fast to respond to emails before hand, really meant ALL day when you pay for "all day" services, she was considerate of what I wanted and what she thought would work best, and she was so friendly! I would absolutely recommend working with Sarah. I know the next time I'm in need of photographs, I'll be calling her again!
