Sarah Zimmerman Photo

er. Our wedding was planned in San Diego , moved back to Las Vegas, postponed, canceled and then we ended up eloping-ish (Covid-Bride). Sarah was extremely patient with us through all the changes and made everything better. My fiancé (now hubby) is not big a fan of the camera and he was very nervous about our engagement/wedding photos being taken. Before Sarah took her first photo of us she made sure that we were both comfortable. She connected with us, got to know us and really paid attention to what we needed to open up and enjoy the moment. She captured all of our raw emotions while never feeling like there was a camera in our face. We just received our wedding gallery and I must’ve looked at our photos 10,000 times already. They are so much more than I could have ever hoped for. We are so lucky to have found Sarah- we highly recommend her for all of your photos! Looking forward to our annual (or monthly😉) family photo shoots. Much love!

so much fun with her. 10/10 recommend hiring Sarah for lifestyle, engagement, elopement, and wedding photos!

mportant decisions a person can make when planning a wedding is choosing the right person to capture the moment. My fiancé and I canvassed the internet, looking through album after album, hoping to find the perfect fit. For us, selecting Sarah as our photographer was a no-brainer, based on her work alone. There was something about her style that we just LOVED. We came to learn, after communicating with Sarah and finally shooting our engagement session with her, that there is so much more to what Sarah does than taking the pictures. The skill with which Sarah practices her craft is obvious, even after only a casual glance at her work. Anyone who hires her will, without a doubt, receive the absolute best product anyone could ask for (likely in record time, too!). In addition to the wonderful photographs, you will also have a wonderful experience, from start to finish. From the very beginning, Sarah is extremely nice, fun, and excited at the prospect of working with you. It's seriously contagious. You find yourself counting down the days to your session. To help you prepare, and to ensure that she captures your moment in the way that you dreamed of, Sarah provides pointers, suggests locations, helps with selecting an appropriate wardrobe for the day, and even brought a dress to our shoot that she thought would look perfect in the setting (which, of course, it did!). During the session, Sarah will teach you techniques that will allow for the best results, coach you, and will bring a TON of energy that makes the session an absolute blast. This translates to photographs that convey all sorts of emotions. There are so many photos from our session where the comment is, “you look so HAPPY!” The reason for that is simple: we were happy! Sarah is able to bring out the best emotions in you and capture them all. Our session was truly a wonderful experience and we can’t recommend her enough. Words simply don’t do justice to the experience we have had working with Sarah so far. She goes above and beyond to ensure that you end up with the photographs of your dreams and have a terrific time throughout the process. Our engagement shoot was super fun, the photos are perfect, and we simply can’t wait to work with her again on our wedding day.

ul and hilarious human being but hands down one of the most amazing photographers on this side of the galaxy. I often looked at pictures of other women and wondered, how I could ever be as beautiful as them. I am 4’11 and ¾ inches tall and I carry my weight everywhere. The weeks previous to my wedding I did make a conscious effort to eat better and exercise more but I still had this fear that all Sarah would capture was a ball of dough in a white dress. The morning of our engagement shoot I was more nervous than I had ever been. I awoke to a kind text message from Sarah with a few reminders for the day. Even before meeting you, Sarah has a way of calming your nerves with her kindness. When my then-fiance and I arrived at our destination, Sarah greeted us with tight hugs and many compliments (this was pre-COVID). I had my hair and makeup done but as I did not use makeup regularly I felt even more self-conscious and nervous than usual. Those fears went away almost instantly. Sarah truly has a way of making you forget you are there for a photo shoot. Her teaching style, jokes, and infectious laugh make you feel like your best friend is doing this shoot for you. To say these pictures came out stunning is an understatement. Our engagement shots were AMAZING. There have been a handful of moments in my life where I have truly felt beautiful and this was one of them. My husband and I eloped on a small beach in San Diego with only our mothers and siblings. This was momentous for us because our mothers raised us on their own and we wanted to capture the moment they both gave us away. Every picture from that day was magical. From the group shots to the individual shots of us and our family, every picture was everything we wanted and more. I never, in a million years, imagined that I could photograph so beautifully. I am not quite sure what magic Sarah did that day but our photos are beyond gorgeous. If you can trust Sarah and her creative instinct, she will give you amazing shots. To be completely honest, it took one sentence out of that woman’s mouth during our first phone call to trust her 100%. Sarah is worth every single penny and honestly, a lot more! My husband and I are forever grateful for her talent, skill, and warm personality.

rfect angle for the perfect shot you could not even imagine. When we got our photos were were so incredibly impressed. She is such a talented amazing person. She is so up beat and makes sure to get the best shots. She thinks of the best places to go to get some very unique photos that look straight out of a bridal magazine. Her photos speak for themselves, and her personality makes her an instant friend! We love our photos so much!

otch. Sarah takes the time to get to know you as a couple and she proves this by perfectly capturing the essence of each couple. Sarah also takes the time to teach you and your wedding party about how to be photographed which results in amazing, natural images. Sarah isn't afraid to try anything for the perfect, memorable shot (she's the only one who could convince us to jump in a lake fully clothed during our engagement shoot or lay in a pile of wild flowers in my wedding dress). I absolutely DROOL over all of our photos because they are so natural, fun, with the right amount of sexy. I'm looking forward to looking at these priceless photos for the rest of our lives and Sarah will be the top of our list for any future photos (even if we have to fly to San Diego from the Midwest!).

brighten anyone’s day with her laugh! At our wedding, we cried and laughed together AND the pictures are absolutely stunning! One of the things I love most about her business is that she works so hard to get you previews within a few days which is unheard of! She knows how anxious and excited everyone is to see their love captured. I cannot think of enough good things to say about Sarah as a photographer and just an all around good human. ❤️

es it fun and easy. You can tell how much she loves what she does which makes it that much better. I will always use her when I need pictures taken. She isn't only your photographer but she becomes your friend as well. Thank you Sarah for everything. We love you!

able, validated, and accepted. Prior to the shoot, we completed a questionnaire about our biggest insecurities/worries - what i loved most is that she subtly addressed these insecurities/worries without drawing attention to it. Sarah allowed us to move freely, she shared with us 3-4 tips for capturing great pictures and the rest was up to us. We were truly able to focus on the love between us leaving us to feel like memories were created as opposed to checking another item off our to do list. After shooting with Sarah, I have so much more appreciation for the content of her work. I would be lying if I said I wasn't rigid going in but the way that she shoots captures so much more intimacy than the generic smiling and hand holding (which if you request she will gladly do!). You can also count on Sarah for honest feedback during the planning process. Sarah truly bends over backwards to accommodate her client's needs. It was so important to use to include our pup but we had no one to watch her, the offers she made to make this possible went beyond our expectations of customer service. I highly recommend Sarah and absolutely loved working with her!

amera. We are so grateful to have her as our photographer. Thanks Sarah!!

passion and love she has for her art goes unmatched. Beyond that, her personality makes any photo session worthwhile. She is the spunkiest, most positive, and hilarious woman I have ever met. I was a nervous wreck the morning before our engagement shoot. I have always been self-conscious and uncomfortable in front of a camera. Sarah washed all of that discomfort away within SECONDS of hearing her adorably infectious laugh. She is there because she wants to be and genuinely seems to every second of working with you. It felt like we were best friends in a matter of minutes. Because of that, all of my wedding photo jitters vanished. (Any bride can tell you- ANYTHING to reduce anxiety on your wedding day is worth every penny!!!) A little backstory on me: I found out I needed to get a double mastectomy just a few months before my wedding. I was devastated. I was convinced that the most important day of my life would be overshadowed with negativity and that my body would be too horrifying to enjoy any photographic memories of. I could not have been more wrong. Sarah’s magic eye made me feel like the most powerful, badass, beautiful princess in the world. I can’t get over the photos she sent back to me. I have cried so much over them. She captured my pain, strength, and resilience like I could never have imagined. These are so much more than pictures. Her creations with angles, editing, and colors captured the happiest moments of my life. Every time I look at them, I am completely overwhelmed with emotion. Do yourself a favor and choose Sarah. I promise you won’t regret it.

ncreative at times. I had been following Sarah Zimmerman for a while now and I just loved her perspective in her work. All her different angles and just how different and creative her sessions were, definitely made me want to learn from her. When I discovered she was offering mentorships, I wanted to sign up and I’m so glad I did. Sarah’s energy is so positive and fun! After 5 minutes with her, you feel like she’s your best friend. Sarah is the same exact way with her clients. She gives so much direction and truly makes the session so much fun, which I loved. I learned so much from Sarah and I am 100% going to apply the things I took away from our time together. I love you Sarah! Thank you so much!

bbly personality cannot be truly encompassed in a succinct summary. Visit her instagram page at Sarah Zimmerman Photography for a true depiction of her excellence. From the second we arrived, we were greeted by her friendly personality. She then provided us a tutorial of various poses and how the day would unfold. We captured several shots in two separate locations with two different outfits. Not once did we feel rushed. She captured beautiful photos with her live action shots, which made the shoot so much fun for us. She has flawless execution from the fun action shots to the more intimate ones. She has a way of making you feel so comfortable in front of the camera, often coming up with different ways to make us laugh and different ways to get us moving around. She even took time to look over my fiancé's Pinterest that she created to make sure she captured every type of photo we wanted. She goes above and beyond for her clients and even went over our time to make sure we got all the shots and poses we were hoping for. She embodies professionalism while instantly connecting with her clients to harvest a friendship. We received preview edits less than 24 hours after our shoot and could not be happier. We are so excited to see the rest of our photos. Sarah, thank you for an unforgettable day and for capturing memories that we will always cherish. We'll be back for a maternity shoot!

ked for to help remember such a huge time in our lifes. I had ideas she was down to make into reality and she made my shy wife super comfortable and captured her beauty all at the same time. During the wedding she would not let a memorable moment go without capturing it. She spent extra time on us to ensure we get what we wanted! And even helped me calm down when I was getting overwhelmed! We love her and feel fortunate and blessed to have found her.

immediately! Aside from being the most favored vendor by all of my other vendors and wedding coordinators, Sarah is so enjoyable to work with! I had so many concerns (being shy, not being photogenic, feeling awkward) but Sarah made us feel so comfortable and to this day, our engagement shoot with her is our favorite “date”! That’s how wonderful she is at her job, she creates the magic you see. It’s all genuine... and she brings it all out so effortlessly. Before she meets you, she takes the time to get to know you with a phone call and does her own research on your personality, style, and relationship. So when she meets you for the shoot she’s done all the homework and jumps right into a personalized shoot for you. I couldn’t be any happier with her work and the way she executed/captured the wedding day. You will feel so blessed to have her as your photographer, just like my husband and I do!

ble from the start! Loved that she sent a questionnaire to get to know us before the shoot. She used the questionnaire to break the ice and loosen us up, and it totally worked! As soon as we met her we could tell she was a fun and warm spirit! We vibed right away and felt like we had known her for years. There was ZERO awkward moments during the shoot. We felt beyond comfortable with her and we felt like we could be ourselves the entire time. Thinking about photoshoots used to give me anxiety. I hated the idea of being “posey” and awkward. Trust me when I say, not once did I feel “posey” and awkward. Sarah had us laughing and smiling the whole time. Her techniques to getting the perfect CANDID pictures are genius! I never knew I would love CANDID as much as I do now. I will forever go with Sarah for all future photoshoots! She is a ROCKSTAR!

style and the rawnes that she catches in her images. We will cherish every single picture forever. My house is pretty much covered in the photos that she took. I highly recommend Sarah Zimmerman for your special occasion!

e with and she even helped with all the little details, like my outfits and little tips. She made us feel soooooooo comfortable. and the best part was she made the photo shoot so fun! We had a blast, we were laughing the whole time and you can see that through our pictures she took. I would recommend her 1000000%. You will not be disappointed with the quality of her work and you will get great company along the way. I wish she lived closer so I could work with her more often!

ld be "a photo" I would even be happy with as I am always so picky at how my face turns out in a photo. However, I now have over 50 BEAUTIFUL images to choose from as I create a collage for our bedroom. Sarah is a true artist and working with her has been an absolute pleasure. Will definitely be using Sarah again as she captures our lifelong love story.

to put down as words can't even begin to describe how blessed we feel to have been able to work with Sarah. Sarah was born to be a photographer, she was put on this earth to capture people in their most vulnerable/intimate moments. Her work speaks for itself, but behind the lens is one of the most genuine, passionate, caring, funny, energetic, spicy, creative, determined, strong and MAGICAL people we have ever met. Sarah made us feel comfortable, worked fast, made us laugh, gave great direction and fit in like family. We are still receiving compliments for the amazing engagement shoot we had with her and wedding guests are still talking about how impressed they were by Sarah during the big day. If you want to guarantee the best photos and experience of your life, hire Sarah Zimmerman!

rah was unforgettable and we will cherish our pictures forever. She did a couples shoot for me and my now fiancé who had just gotten back from his deployment. She sacrificed a day that she finally had off to relax and if that doesn’t tell you how dedicated she is, I really don’t know what does. Sarah was extremely helpful with outfit ideas prior to the shoot so we looked our absolute best! She was extremely responsive and I felt like I had known her for years before we had even met. We did pictures in the water, and this lady was fully submerged with her camera to get the best angles of us! Like I said, the dedication is unreal. Her pictures really speak on their own for the quality and talent. I cannot wait to have her photograph our wedding in October, and to get our engagement pictures done next weekend! You will not regret booking Sarah to take pictures of you, your family, your wedding, etc. She truly is such an amazing artist in addition to being an amazing person with the biggest heart. We love you so much Sarah!<3

azing in front of the camera. She brought out the best in us, and we walked away with images we will cherish for a lifetime and a new friend for life.

er we felt comfortable and confident. She knows what she’s doing and has so much fun doing it! Sarah sent us a few photos just hours after the shoot and we couldn’t wait to see the rest of them. We were blown away. We loved those few pictures so much we KNEW we had to book her for our wedding! The moment we got the whole album we were in awe of how great they turned out. She captured our relationship perfectly and we are SO happy with our photos. We’ve gotten countless complements on how they turned out. I can’t say enough good things about Sarah, and we’re very excited to have her shoot our wedding in October!

nd confident. I was very anxious about my wedding photos because I had gained some postpartum weight and I was honestly just dreading it. Then my fiancé and I met Sarah for our engagement session and she made me feel like a damn queen. She helps coach you so you show off your best assets all the while making you remember that no matter what you’re truly beautiful. I cannot say enough about Sarah! In fact, she shot our April 2018 wedding and we met back up with her in December 2018 to do a family shoot because she just THAT AMAZING.

eciated her “orientation” where she explain movements and poses that would help make our pictures look better - it was a great guide!

so easy. We've received so many compliments about our engagement photos and my gosh does she get them back to you fast! In preparation for our wedding she has communicated about our photo needs, timing, and suggested tips that have worked for previous clients. I didn't realize that I would also gain a listening ear through the planning process when I booked a photographer. Truly a total package with Sarah!

sional photos- we were nervous to say the least. But Sarah quickly took all of our insecurities away and made us feel like we were professional models. She was funny, encouraging and personalized. Personalized? Sarah started following my fiancé and me on social media a couple months before our appointment. She got a feel for who we were as people and treated us accordingly. I know, being the foul mouthed and outspoken woman that I am, that Sarah brought that same type of energy. She was creative and thoughtful and the photos? Blew our MIND! I can’t tell you how many people said they looked forward to seeing her photos in a bridal mag. She captured both of our personalities in a way that didn’t feel forced. She really captured a female positive union- where a lot of the photos showed my fiancé supporting the outspoken nature of mine. The turn around for photos were unheard of! She had a preview of 6 photos to us within hours of taking them. Only a week passed before she had a folder of 150+ beautifully edited photos. The photos were passionate, unique and the entire experience.... incredible. Don’t look any further- it’ll be hard to get this type of experience elsewhere!

ctures. My husband and I hire her not just once but twice and I am sure we will have more shootings with her in the future!
