mportant decisions a person can make when planning a wedding is choosing the right person to capture the moment. My fiancé and I canvassed the internet, looking through album after album, hoping to find the perfect fit. For us, selecting Sarah as our photographer was a no-brainer, based on her work alone. There was something about her style that we just LOVED. We came to learn, after communicating with Sarah and finally shooting our engagement session with her, that there is so much more to what Sarah does than taking the pictures. The skill with which Sarah practices her craft is obvious, even after only a casual glance at her work. Anyone who hires her will, without a doubt, receive the absolute best product anyone could ask for (likely in record time, too!). In addition to the wonderful photographs, you will also have a wonderful experience, from start to finish. From the very beginning, Sarah is extremely nice, fun, and excited at the prospect of working with you. It's seriously contagious. You find yourself counting down the days to your session. To help you prepare, and to ensure that she captures your moment in the way that you dreamed of, Sarah provides pointers, suggests locations, helps with selecting an appropriate wardrobe for the day, and even brought a dress to our shoot that she thought would look perfect in the setting (which, of course, it did!). During the session, Sarah will teach you techniques that will allow for the best results, coach you, and will bring a TON of energy that makes the session an absolute blast. This translates to photographs that convey all sorts of emotions. There are so many photos from our session where the comment is, “you look so HAPPY!” The reason for that is simple: we were happy! Sarah is able to bring out the best emotions in you and capture them all. Our session was truly a wonderful experience and we can’t recommend her enough. Words simply don’t do justice to the experience we have had working with Sarah so far. She goes above and beyond to ensure that you end up with the photographs of your dreams and have a terrific time throughout the process. Our engagement shoot was super fun, the photos are perfect, and we simply can’t wait to work with her again on our wedding day.

I often looked at pictures of other women and wondered, how I could ever be as beautiful as them. I am 4’11 and ¾ inches tall and I carry my weight everywhere. The weeks previous to my wedding I did make a conscious effort to eat better and exercise more but I still had this fear that all Sarah would capture was a ball of dough in a white dress. The morning of our engagement shoot I was more nervous than I had ever been. I awoke to a kind text message from Sarah with a few reminders for the day. Even before meeting you, Sarah has a way of calming your nerves with her kindness. When my then-fiance and I arrived at our destination, Sarah greeted us with tight hugs and many compliments (this was pre-COVID). I had my hair and makeup done but as I did not use makeup regularly I felt even more self-conscious and nervous than usual. Those fears went away almost instantly. Sarah truly has a way of making you forget you are there for a photo shoot. Her teaching style, jokes, and infectious laugh make you feel like your best friend is doing this shoot for you. To say these pictures came out stunning is an understatement. Our engagement shots were AMAZING. There have been a handful of moments in my life where I have truly felt beautiful and this was one of them. My husband and I eloped on a small beach in San Diego with only our mothers and siblings. This was momentous for us because our mothers raised us on their own and we wanted to capture the moment they both gave us away. Every picture from that day was magical. From the group shots to the individual shots of us and our family, every picture was everything we wanted and more. I never, in a million years, imagined that I could photograph so beautifully. I am not quite sure what magic Sarah did that day but our photos are beyond gorgeous. If you can trust Sarah and her creative instinct, she will give you amazing shots. To be completely honest, it took one sentence out of that woman’s mouth during our first phone call to trust her 100%. Sarah is worth every single penny and honestly, a lot more! My husband and I are forever grateful for her talent, skill, and warm personality.

rfect angle for the perfect shot you could not even imagine. When we got our photos were were so incredibly impressed. She is such a talented amazing person. She is so up beat and makes sure to get the best shots. She thinks of the best places to go to get some very unique photos that look straight out of a bridal magazine. Her photos speak for themselves, and her personality makes her an instant friend! We love our photos so much!

otch. Sarah takes the time to get to know you as a couple and she proves this by perfectly capturing the essence of each couple. Sarah also takes the time to teach you and your wedding party about how to be photographed which results in amazing, natural images. Sarah isn't afraid to try anything for the perfect, memorable shot (she's the only one who could convince us to jump in a lake fully clothed during our engagement shoot or lay in a pile of wild flowers in my wedding dress). I absolutely DROOL over all of our photos because they are so natural, fun, with the right amount of sexy. I'm looking forward to looking at these priceless photos for the rest of our lives and Sarah will be the top of our list for any future photos (even if we have to fly to San Diego from the Midwest!).

Prior to the shoot, we completed a questionnaire about our biggest insecurities/worries - what i loved most is that she subtly addressed these insecurities/worries without drawing attention to it. Sarah allowed us to move freely, she shared with us 3-4 tips for capturing great pictures and the rest was up to us. We were truly able to focus on the love between us leaving us to feel like memories were created as opposed to checking another item off our to do list. After shooting with Sarah, I have so much more appreciation for the content of her work. I would be lying if I said I wasn't rigid going in but the way that she shoots captures so much more intimacy than the generic smiling and hand holding (which if you request she will gladly do!). You can also count on Sarah for honest feedback during the planning process. Sarah truly bends over backwards to accommodate her client's needs. It was so important to use to include our pup but we had no one to watch her, the offers she made to make this possible went beyond our expectations of customer service. I highly recommend Sarah and absolutely loved working with her!

I was a nervous wreck the morning before our engagement shoot. I have always been self-conscious and uncomfortable in front of a camera. Sarah washed all of that discomfort away within SECONDS of hearing her adorably infectious laugh. She is there because she wants to be and genuinely seems to every second of working with you. It felt like we were best friends in a matter of minutes. Because of that, all of my wedding photo jitters vanished. (Any bride can tell you- ANYTHING to reduce anxiety on your wedding day is worth every penny!!!) A little backstory on me: I found out I needed to get a double mastectomy just a few months before my wedding. I was devastated. I was convinced that the most important day of my life would be overshadowed with negativity and that my body would be too horrifying to enjoy any photographic memories of. I could not have been more wrong. Sarah’s magic eye made me feel like the most powerful, badass, beautiful princess in the world. I can’t get over the photos she sent back to me. I have cried so much over them. She captured my pain, strength, and resilience like I could never have imagined. These are so much more than pictures. Her creations with angles, editing, and colors captured the happiest moments of my life. Every time I look at them, I am completely overwhelmed with emotion. Do yourself a favor and choose Sarah. We captured several shots in two separate locations with two different outfits. Not once did we feel rushed. She captured beautiful photos with her live action shots, which made the shoot so much fun for us. She has flawless execution from the fun action shots to the more intimate ones. She has a way of making you feel so comfortable in front of the camera, often coming up with different ways to make us laugh and different ways to get us moving around. She even took time to look over my fiancé's Pinterest that she created to make sure she captured every type of photo we wanted. She had a preview of 6 photos to us within hours of taking them. Only a week passed before she had a folder of 150+ beautifully edited photos.
