About this vendor
Based in Oakland, California, Sari Blum Photography tells wedding stories through a documentary lens—honest, artistic, and full of heart. With more than fifteen years of experience in photography, Sari captures the kind of moments you’ll want to relive forever: the unguarded laughter, the tender tears, the wild dance-floor joy.
Her approach is simple—be present, pay attention, and let love lead. Rather than staging every detail, Sari blends into the rhythm of your celebration, catching the fleeting glances and quiet in-betweens that reveal the truest version of your day.
In the months leading up to your wedding, Sari works with you step by step to plan a photography experience that feels effortless. Together, you’ll uncover what kinds of photos matter most to you, how long they take, and how they weave into your timeline. She collaborates closely with your venue and planner to map out the day so that when it arrives, everything has a cadence. Because it’s planned, you can relax—whether things run late or move ahead—you’re free to roll with it, knowing the memories will be beautifully preserved.
From intimate backyard gatherings to destination adventures across the globe, Sari creates timeless collections that feel as alive as the moments themselves. Whether you’re looking for engagement portraits, full-day wedding coverage, or day-after sessions, she delivers imagery that feels deeply personal—photographs that hold not just how your wedding looked, but how it felt.

I would strongly and wholeheartedly recommend Sari to anyone looking for a professional, knowledgable, emotionally intelligent, creative photographer with an eye for capturing beau...
tiful moments and doing them justice in photos. She photographed our wedding last summer, and we could not be happier with the photos or with the experience she provided us with before, at, and after the event.
Before the event, she helped us develop a photo schedule that enhanced the day rather than disrupting it, and she really listened to and considered what kind of event we were trying to create. At the event, she knew exactly which moments should be snapped, and I often had the experience of watching something wonderful happen, thinking, dang, I want a photo of that, and then seeing Sari appear out of nowhere to get that photo! She also had a way of getting everyone posed and looking great without making anyone feel self conscious or overly-observed. The way she photographs is so natural, but it's obviously practiced and planned.
Seriously, Sari is such an artist, and she's got the people and admin skills to back it up! After the event, she delivered our photos promptly and continued communicating with us until the job was fully done.
There are few professionals I would recommend as highly as Sari. If you're thinking of hiring her, do it, do it, do it now!
Sari is amazing! Her photos were absolutely amazing and she was so great to work with. She went above and beyond in every way possible (scouting out shooting locations, driving all...
the way to CO, ...). Sari photographed our pre-wedding ski-day and wedding. She captured everything so well and brought up the vibe of the wedding.
Thank you for everything Sari! You are an amazing person and photographer!
Sari’s photography is beautiful, but the way she crafts the photographic experience of a wedding is far beyond what you see in the final results. Before the wedding, I thought I kn...
ew what a wedding photographer does. They take photos your special day! Trust me, Sari is so much more than “just” a photographer. Her support, wisdom, and experience smooth each step of the wedding day. She knew how and when to find the right moments for us to step away, regroup, and simply be with each other. She reads the room and redirects energy, providing opportunities for intimacy and reflection both behind and in front of her lens. Her skills produced the most important photos of our lives, but more importantly, she made sure we got there together. If you have the opportunity to book Sari for your wedding, be prepared to meet someone you’ll hope to have in your life forever too.

r. I loved working with her and the photos are stunning. Another recent bride I know saw my photos and her jaw dropped. Do not skimp on your wedding photos - do your research and get the best!
Sari was hired to capture the engagement of a dear friend of mine. I helped orchestrate the whole surprise and she was extremely professional throughout the entire experience. Her ...
eye for light and composition really captured the love and excitement that was present that day. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer for engagement photos or any wedding related event.
