Satura Cakes

Our Satura Cake was very fresh and delicious. The tasting experience was about the only wedding planning experience that my husband actually enjoyed :) They provided many choices for cake so we could be sure of what we wanted.

The tasting was AMAZING. I ended up ordering a 3 layer cake that the guests RAVED about. However, I think they gave us one wrong flavor. Also, the fresh flowers for decorating the cake was not as I requested according to the sample picture provided by Satura. It was still a beautiful cake. The taste and texture was perfect. The guests loved it. I was happy with them.

My wedding cake was awesome. I always like stuff a little different. Jenny made it happen! We had a 6" top tier and instead of layers of cake or cupcakes, we had bite-sized samples of 5 different cake flavors. It was a hit! And each one so tasty!

Satura Cakes (Los Altos location is the only one open now) really came through for us on our big day. The delivery was prompt and the cake in perfect condition. Our 2 flavors of chocolate and mango passionfruit were a real hit with our guests, and our contact at Satura was always available for an email or phone call if we had questions leading up to the big day. The light and fluffy cakes were the perfect end to our huge dinner!

I've always enjoyed buying small cakes from Satura. They have a great passion fruit and mango mousse cake. I gave them a shot for my wedding. Cake was one of the most important parts of my wedding. Above anything, I wanted to make sure it tasted good. I hate going to weddings and eating cardboard flavored cake. I started the cake search almost immediately after getting engaged (so a good year before the wedding) The original coordinator was nice, not the most helpful, but she was definitely nice. She was there during a transition phase between permanent coordinators, but I was immediately sold on the cake so I put my deposit down. About two months before my wedding, I got an email from the new coordinator, Keiko, who is AMAZING. She actually clarified a lot of things that the girl before didn't. (The fact I could have a five tiered cake when I was originally told three). Keiko had some great ideas, studied my wedding invitations and sent me drawings to see what I would like. I gave her my feedback and put my faith in her and the chef. I ended up with a five tiered, offset cake with three different flavors. It was GORGEOUS! The decorations on the cake resembled my invitations and fit perfectly with the nature-like theme of my wedding. I had passion fruit, red velvet and carrot cake and oh man, they were DELICIOUS. The cake wasn't dried out like some wedding cakes, it was moist and definitely fresh. I was so incredibly happy with the cake and really happy I put my faith in Keiko's ideas and the chefs. I highly recommend Satura cakes for any occasion. But if you're shopping around for cakes and aren't sure, definitely think seriously about them. I went on many MANY cake tastings and they aren't ridiculously more expensive. They're actually on the better end for price for something of their quality and Keiko is great to work with as she is patient and full of good ideas. Words cannot describe how beautiful and delicious the cake was. Satura was always a suggestion for birthday cakes for friends and family, but they just sealed the deal. I will always provide cakes for occasions and those cakes will always come from Satura.

We went with a 5 tier cake with 3 flavors, red velvet, carrot, and green tea. We received a lot of compliments on this cake! We chose Satura cakes because of the taste and quality of the cakes.. they are so moist! The design of the cake was more so-so, but that was partly my fault. But the main importance for us was the quality of the cake, which was delicious!

I have always loved the cakes from Satura, so I knew even before looking around that I wanted them for my wedding. Their cakes are not as sweet, and have more of the Asian taste to it that I prefer. The cake tasting was fantastic - so delicious, I would do it again :) The wedding manager, Anne, was very helpful, and always promptly answered my questions when I emailed her. She was also very patient to explain anything I didn't understand about the pricing structure, etc. On the day of, the cake was so yummy, lots of our guests said they wanted seconds, or wanted to try more flavors because it wasn't overwhelming after the huge banquet we already had! The cake decoration was mostly done by my florist. But given that the outside of the cake is entirely fresh cream and no fondant or buttercream (one of the reasons I chose them - I hate fondant and buttercream is too rich for me), it stood up very well over the evening - no melting or any signs that the cream was going to fail me! The fruits were also fresh tasting. The only reason I took off one star is because their decorations seem more limited (probably because of the cream) and what you can do they charge quite a lot for (my cake without any patterning was $6/serving, but just adding some basic dots make it $7/serving).

The cake was out of this world. Pricey yes, amazing yes yes YES! Very much worth it - you will not be disappointed

I found Satura because they are the bakery that Wedgewood Catering (Crystal Springs) has a negotiated rate with so I can't speak to the cost but I can talk about the quality. I've never had a more delicious red velvet cake in my life!! Anne, the wedding coordinator for Satura is wonderful to work with. Beware the cake tasting - everything is delicious so it's hard to decide. The day of, the cake came out so beautiful that it was hard to want to cut it. But once we did, it was oh so yummy! It was just another thing that we heard about from our guests after the wedding, especially how moist everything was. One thing to note, Satura does not use fondant, they only use fresh cream and you can definitely taste the difference. YUM!

Our cake was gorgeous. Anne was great, efficient, quick to response, thoughtful, and very professional. I got so many compliments how beautiful the cake was but more importantly how delicious it was. They will be my bakery for life now.
