SAUCED UP MAKEUP

I am so happy that I chose Reyna for my bridal shoot and wedding day. She’s amazing and the sweetest person. My hair and makeup lasted throughout the day and night and just the whole experience was great. Reyna is extremely talented and I highly recommend!

Super disappointed :-(. I have never written a negative review in my life, and am really sad to do this because Reyna was so nice and down to earth (and did some great work, particularly with makeup). But the services were problematic. They arrived late, and did not seem prepared for the quantity and quality of work they needed to do, despite being provided with a full list and photo samples in advance. We're not a high-maintenance bunch, but several people were disappointed with their hair. We pushed back the time for photos (by well over an hour) because they were running so behind, but some people were still getting their makeup done as we started shooting. Others didn't end up getting their hair/makeup done at all. What was really a bummer for me was seeing this stress out the bride, especially knowing how much effort she had put into planning out this day so that everything would run smoothly on schedule. And you know what? Shit happens, we get it-- I don't know what unexpected circumstances may have made Reyna and her team arrive late and then run behind. But that's because they never communicated that. Never explained, never acknowledged, never apologized for any of it. And when the bride reached out to her after the wedding about services that were paid for but never provided, Reyna didn't respond to emails, texts, or phone calls. I'm glad that so many people had a great experience here, but I would personally not be inclined to hire after an experience that lacked reliability and integrity.

**Incredibly unprofessional artist that overcharged for incomplete services.** I was very excited for my time with Reyna- she was kind and thoughtful leading up to the event. Unfortunately, she was a very disappointing hire, who ran behind her own schedule, charged me for services she didn’t end up completing and conveniently stopped responding to any communication post-wedding. I’ve been in many weddings and completed wedding hair services myself and I’ve never come across a vendor as unprepared and unprofessional as Reyna. I was first concerned when I needed to follow up several times after she promised a timeline and didn’t deliver. I also noticed that during our hair and make up trial, she was confident with makeup but struggled with executing my vision for hair. She promised this is common and we would be ready to execute on my wedding day. Trusting in her experience and reviews, I figured this is exactly why we do trials. On the actual wedding day, she arrived 45 minute later than scheduled time of arrival with very little communication. Additionally, they ran incredibly behind schedule without much communication. The entire team struggled with anyone with thicker hair- even with simple hair styles such as braids, crimped hair, twists or simple curls. As someone who does hair, I know these were not complicated asks. Reyna seemed a bit unaware with the over 1. 5 hours delay and didn’t try to re-adjust timing with me and my friends and I needed to redo the timing for her and the team. Unfortunately, the quality of hair on my Maid of Honor was so unacceptable that I redid the hair myself. We also ran out of time to complete everyone’s services so several people rushed to do their own makeup or hair that we paid for in advance. I also did my own hair since we hadn’t started my own hair 15 min before my photos began. Due to this delay and incredibly disappointing quality of artisanship, I needed to become creative and get myself ready. Hoping to reconcile these differences and gain a refund for several incomplete services, I reached our multiple times over email, text and phone call. After all, these services can add up; however, I never heard any response back for several weeks. No apology, no response and even a call sent to voicemail. We are all human, if she owned up to her mistakes, I would be gracious; however, avoiding me is highly unprofessional and I am still waiting on my refund. I feel it is important to let other potential brides know of my situation so that you don’t find yourself in a compromising situation. On the bright side, her team did a great job with make up and also seemed to be more comfortable with very thin hair. Fortunately, everyone made the most of the situation and we were able to laugh it off by the time festivities began.

Reyna and her team were amazing! my whole bridal party looked gorgeous! I’m not originally from California and I was nervous I would not be able to find someone for our hair and makeup within a short amount of time. Reyna is very attentive and made me feel relaxed that everything was under control. I looked beautiful and felt amazing. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else, you’d be lucky to book Reyna! Book her!
