Savage Pianos was established in 2018 to bring the FINEST in Dueling Piano Entertainment to the Northeast. Our performers are recognized as headline entertainers around the world. They are each known for their craftsmanship, deep repertoires, and unique personalities! Please check out our videos! We offer several options for wedding events. OUR STANDARD RECEPTION SHOW features two singing pianists and a drummer (possibly violin or saxophone depending on who is performing). It is a request driven dueling piano dance party where our performers keep your guests dancing all night while taking requests. We will work with you on putting together the perfect trio for your event, and take on any necessary emcee duties. OUR MOST EXCITING OPTION is the The Savage Pianos All-Star Band. Imagine the flexibility of a dueling piano show with the sounds of a full band. It is a request driven dueling piano dance party featuring a carefully selected roster of dueling piano performers and professional instrumentalists. The band features pianos, drums, saxophone, guitar, violin, and variety of male and female vocalists. The performers work together to create a set-list on-the-fly based on audience requests. You will be treated to world-class instrumental improvisation, fantastic vocal harmonies, and amazing showmanship. Unlike most wedding bands that are unwilling to deviate from their songbook of 50 or so tunes, this band knows thousands of songs, and we welcome you to write down your requests! Steve grew up in NJ before studying English at Boston College and piano at the Berklee College of Music. He's been performing dueling piano shows around the globe for 10 years: Singapore, Switzerland, Holland, cruise ships all over Europe and the Caribbean, as well as many clubs all over the US. Over the years he's acted as music director, emcee, and performer to produce dueling piano shows at weddings all over the Northeast! Steve sings, plays piano, and saxophone for Savage Pianos.

We couldn’t have asked for a better entertainment choice than the Savage dueling pianos for our wedding. From the planning process to the final encore, everything was seamless and professional. The performers were exceptionally skilled musicians with a wide-ranging repertoire — from classic rock to current pop to heartfelt ballads. They were also fantastic at reading the crowd and keeping everyone engaged. They made our wedding feel truly unique and personal. Highly recommend for any couple looking to elevate their celebration beyond the typical DJ or band!

What an incredible experience having Savage Pianos at our wedding. A huge thank you to Matt, Danielle, Nate, and Jimmy for the best dance party we could ever ask for! So many guests complimented the band and our vendors absolutely loved working with them. Working with Matt to plan our event was so seamless. It’s always been my dream to have a live band for my wedding. When my husband found this band and told me that they have dueling pianos AND they play for weddings, I almost fainted. We went to scope them out at The Hard Rock in Atlantic City first and just sitting at the bar watching them there was probably one of the funnest nights of my life. The presence that this band has while they are on stage is incredible. So obviously, we hired them for our whimsical, unique and non-traditional wedding reception. It was hands-down the most incredible night of my life. At one point, some of my guests were getting tired and wanted to leave and that was about an hour and a half before the end of the party. Then Matt jumped on the fiddle and EVERYBODY and their kids went running to the dance pavilion. Those people partied harder that night than I have ever seen them party. We couldn’t get them out by the end of the night. Matt is so gifted on the fiddle. I felt like I was at a world-class concert. Steve, who is the owner of the band, is such an amazing person and very worldly. My family is traditional Italian and he knew many Italian songs that he sang live which brought my dad to tears. He’s incredible on the piano and several other instruments as well as saxophone! I am so blessed and grateful to have found this band and they not only are amazing when they perform, but they are just amazing people in general and genuinely want everyone to have a good time. They clearly love what they do and it shows through their performance. Thank you for giving me a night to remember forever. Love you all.

My husband and I are so grateful to have found Savage Pianos. Steve, Matt & team absolutely blew us away. These guys are easy to work with, friendly, dedicated, and incredibly talented! They played every single thing my guests requested from 90s pop to country to hip hop to anything in between. I’ve never seen people so excited for songs to get played at a wedding. Our guests could not stop raving about them. To top it off they learned a special song I requested for them to play when we first met and when I say they executed it perfectly, I mean it. It was an absolute blast. We can’t wait to see them next time they play a public event!

We found Savage Pianos via the Knot and we interviewed them by phone. We found them to totally “get” our concept and roll with the continuous punches we got handed (#thankscovid!). Steve is super professional and committed to a professional experience. It was great knowing we had such a dedicated vendor who we could rely on. NOW - for the music. We have gotten texts nonstop about how the music was the best music guests had ever seen at a wedding. Steve brought his team and they hit the ground running and played nonstop to the very end. Every song was better than the last and their range is so diverse. They nailed every genre from country to pop to rap to even a Disney finale. Steve even jumped on top of a speaker and did a saxophone solo that had people screaming. The musicians are one of a kind, crazy fucking talented and super nice people. The music set the tone for an insanely fun wedding that our guests loved and felt a part of via requests. I’d recommend them to ANYONE and want every future wedding I attend to hire them as well!

Savage Pianos blew all of our expectations out of the water! Steve was a pleasure to work with and answered all of my emails promptly and with great detail. We knew we wanted something fun for our wedding in regards to the music and Savage Pianos did not disappoint. We got so many compliments on the music and most people said it was their favorite part of our wedding. The dance floor was packed the entire time and they played everything we had asked them to play plus they took requests from the guests. I would highly recommend Savage Pianos to any bride and groom looking to dance the night away!

My husband and I hired Savage Pianos to play our wedding, and it was the best wedding planning decision we made. Throughout the entire planning process they were enthusiastic, accommodating, and quick to communicate. On the day of the wedding, they kept the reception on schedule. When the time came for dancing, they had all of our guests out of their seats all night. Since the wedding, we've heard glowing reviews about the music from all of our friends and family. Savage Pianos helped make our special day a memorable one for everyone there. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Words can’t even describe how incredible Savage Pianos is! We met them in a bar over the winter and we instantly knew we wanted them for our wedding. They made our vision for our wedding exactly how we imagined and more! Steve and Matt were so accommodating and needed very little guidance to understand our style. They also executed our ceremony music and knocked it out of the park. We already have people who attended our wedding who are trying to throw a party just to have them play! We are actually thinking of one for ourselves! We are so happy to have met them and hopefully a lasting friendship to come!

If you are hesitant about reaching out to Savage Pianos, stop waiting and do it! They are the real deal. Seriously. From booking to the day of our wedding, Steve Savage was extremely professional, accommodating, and easy to work with. They are truly tremendous performers and had our wedding dancing all night! Matt and Krisztina learned and performed some tricky songs for our ceremony (ranging from Smashing Pumpkins to Lord of the Rings soundtrack). They were executed better than I even imagined! They were fantastic during our cocktail hour. During the reception, songs were by request, although it was a new concept to most, everyone LOVED it. Throughout the night and since, I’ve had so many of our guests raving about the music! “So original, amazing energy, they really can play anything” were among the comments, and it is all true. Our guests were captivated by everything from the versatile pianos and vocals, to the high energy violin and drums. We had an absolute blast at our wedding and so much of it is due to Savage Pianos. Tiny anecdote: Literally the day before the wedding, as we were ironing out some details with the coordinator, we realized that we needed entrance music as we were entering into the reception room. I emailed Steve in a panic asking for a specific song, but I told him that I wasn’t expecting him to learn it on such short notice. When we walked out and actually heard the song I asked for, I could not believe it! It made the moment that much more intimate and special for us. They completely knocked it out of the park and we could not have been happier that we booked them! Savage Pianos is AWESOME and we cannot recommend them highly enough! Thank you for being a part of our day!

If you looking for fabulous multi generational entertainment you should call Savage Pianos !! Steve and his musicians were amazing. Not only did they wow all the guests with their music but they are hilariously funny and totally engaging. It is clear that Steve and his talented friends thoroughly enjoy playing together and their enthusiasm is contagious. It was by far the best rehearsal dinner I have ever been to. Thanks Steve.

Savage Pianos came to perform at an office event of ours and were great! The performers were very funny, witty, and entertaining. The songs they sang on the fly were wide ranged and, in turn, could be enjoyed by a wide range of listeners. Very fun evening! Would definitely go to another even of theirs.

I used Savage Pianos for my 45th birthday party and they exceeded expectations on every level. They were just incredible. Everyone had the best time. In fact, it was so much fun that we are thinking of making it an annual party going forward. Book them! You won't regret it.

Savage Pianos, is a dueling piano sensation that has not been seen since Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton were dueling in Jersey, just with less blood and a little more friendly rivalry. The passion behind the music and the tears of laughter coming from the audience makes an evening for a couple or a group to never forget. As the night begins you might think this just be okay for a drink and a song or two and before you know it, you are part of the show. So, you thought you were just going out for a quiet, evening did you??? Well, learn to live, laugh and love because you will not forget this time of your life. Come with an open mind and your experience will be filled with the joys of music, laughter and new friends. Savage Pianos was The Most FUN! Every entertainer in the show was totally prepared and ready to amaze. Two bachelorette parties were in the crowd and Savage Pianos skillfully shone the light on them while engaging the greater crowd as well. I was so impressed at the range of songs that they knew...A great night of laughter and dancing! Looking forward to a repeat performance!!

Steve took the best care of us! From meeting with us multiple times before the big day to the making sure it all came together just the way we envisioned it. He made sure that all the details were taken care of, so when the big day arrived I didn't have to do anything except let him in the door. Steve hired the best guys in the tri-state to make our dream band come together, they even worked out a special arrangement of our favorite song! My husband is a musician, so he was extra picky about the band, but even he was impressed. The band and the party that they made our reception is one of our favorite memories and the thing we get compliments on the most!
