We've been going to Savage River Lodge for a few years now, and we really didn't consider any other place for our honeymoon. As usual, they provided the perfect getaway. We always ...make a point to dine once or twice per stay in their restaurant–get the meatloaf!–and this time we added packages like in-cabin massages and a wine and cheese tasting at nearby Firefly Farms. Though it rained a fair amount while we were there, we did manage to get in one beautiful hike. It's the perfect place to get away for a few days!
