and Megan was a dream to work with while answering our questions and updating our menu. The food was truly amazing and the service on the day was exemplary. We were so pleased with the results and have had several of our friends and family tell us it was the best food they’ve ever had. It’s been two weeks since our wedding and our guests are STILL talking about the amazing good! I highly recommend Savory Roots Catering.

even though it would have been impossible for us to have our wedding and use their services. I spoke with 2 representatives at Savory Roots. Megan Comer (Catering Sales Manager) and Stephanie Minton (Operations Director). Both of them refused to answer my questions other than to say "This is coming straight from the owner" and that they had no power over the situation. They also sent us screenshots of their contract stating "we're just following the terms of the contract". They said they were unwilling to work outside of the terms even in the case of a natural disaster that made it impossible for us to use their services. Although, I found that strange because Megan Comer told me on the phone that she felt bad for us and pushed her boss, Melanie Armstrong, to offer us a partial refund of $775.75 (which we're not entitled to in the contract). But, to us this felt unfair. It felt like neither Megan Comer, Stephanie Minton, or Melanie Armstrong actually cared that our wedding was cancelled 3 days before it was scheduled because of Hurricane Milton. The sad part is, my fiance and I held on to the last second. We wanted to follow through and use Savory Roots. Their food looked amazing and we were so excited to get married. But, the Hurricane made it impossible. And that's when Megan Comer showed us her true colors. It seemed like she knew it was unfair but she was unwilling to let go of her sales commission. But maybe it was out of her control. Maybe this has more to do with the owners of Savory Roots like Megan Comer told me on the phone. Maybe this is really a case of Melanie Armstrong (the owner) being the type of business owner who takes peoples money, doesn't deliver service, and refuses to give people back their money - even in the case of a natural disaster. Anyway, leaving this here as a warning. I'm a business owner myself and by the grace of God - we don't *need* the refund. We have been blessed financially and my family and I have begun our life in Nashville, TN. But I couldn't imagine being a couple who did *need* this money - but got taken advantage of by Savory Roots who is using a natural disaster as their scape goat. I would never, ever, higher this company.

They went above and beyond to make us feel special, introducing themselves to us personally and checking in throughout the evening to make sure everything was to our liking. Our guests raved about the food, calling it the best wedding food they had ever tasted. The passed appetizers were AMAZING, and the main courses were both flavorful and beautifully presented. It was clear that Savory Roots takes great pride in their culinary artistry. If you're looking for a catering company that will not only provide exceptional food but also deliver outstanding service, I highly recommend Savory Roots. They made our wedding a truly unforgettable experience, and we will be recommending them to everyone we know.

from the pasta bar to the carving station to the mashed potato bar. The appetizers were delicious and the desserts were incredible. The banquet chefs, servers, and bartenders were very professional and seemed super happy to be there! We really appreciated having drinks and appetizers brought to us as well as our main meals. The best was having to-go boxes to bring home with us after the wedding! 10/10 recommend hiring Savory Roots to make your wedding day dreams come true!

asy and I greatly appreciated that. Their presentation for our cocktail hour of the "grazing table" was beautiful and we got so many compliments from our guests. My husband and I didn't make it to our cocktail hour but to our pleasant surprise Savory Roots made us a little spread for our sweetheart table so we could still enjoy it. This meant SO MUCH to us. Dinner was delicious! Our guests were very happy with all the options and we loved it too. The most compliments we got were on the dessert jars at the end of the night. Our guests LOVED them. We also got a late night snack of popcorn bags which was so perfect for everyone to take home with them. Overall I could not recommend Savory Roots to any other bride and groom looking for a catering option.

ality they gave to all of our guests! We never went hungry and we had a wide variety of foods at cocktail hour and reception hour. They set up our tables beautifully, and were always walking around seeing if we needed anything or taking up plates as they saw people were done. And the food, oh my gosh the food! It is so so so good. Some of the best food I have ever tasted at any wedding I have been to! Leading up to the wedding the amount of communication we had with every one on the team to make sure our wedding day would run smoothly was awesome. The amount of group tastings to see what foods we would like at the wedding was such a great concept. And then when we did our personalized one on one tasting it was so personalized to us and an actual one on one experience just for us. On the day of our wedding the staff came up to the bridal suite to drop off a care package for me of snacks to keep me going for the wedding day. I can not say enough how amazing Savory Roots is! Fo yourself a favor and book them for any of your catering needs! We can't wait to use them again for any special occasion!

The staff had drinks ready for us immediately following the ceremony, and our main meal was plated for us so that we didn’t have to go through the buffet line. We had about 200 guests at our wedding, and the food turned out wonderfully.
