My only reasons for not giving 5 stars are that 1) we were supposed to be given rental pillars for free but were charged (not a big enough deal for me to complain at the time) and 2) supposed to have decorate ribbons for chairs but I think there might have been miscommunication between the vendor and the venue.

erviewing florists for our wedding and finding the one that best fit our needs. We wanted: simple, refreshing and summery, and local, in-season flowers only. We wanted bouquets for the the girls, boutonnieres for the boys and family, and simple, summery centerpieces. We specified colors, but otherwise gave them free reign. Of all the florists my mom spoke with, Sawyer & Co. were the only ones that "got" our vision and didn't talk right past us. Everyone else offered us elaborate, expensive packages that were way too overblown for what we wanted. They worked with us every step of the way, sending us a written estimate and description and talking with us on the phone several times. We wanted to keep the cost down, which they completely understood, and even allowed us to supply them with the containers for the centerpieces, which drastically reduced the price for the centerpieces. They also supplied us with fresh cut flowers to decorate the cake and the outdoor ceremony aisle ourselves. They were so flexible and willing to accommodate our every need. On our wedding day, I visited their location for the first time to make the final payment and everyone was so friendly and helpful. My mom picked up the flowers later (which they allowed to cut the delivery cost), and brought them across the ferry for our island wedding. I was a little nervous since I had left so much up to the choice of the florist, but that first glimpse of our flowers in the back of my mom's car just made me so happy - they were gorgeous! It was one of the favourite parts of our wedding, and I could instantly tell that they completely understood what we wanted, even without specifics. They even included my husband's favourite flower! Going with Sawyer & Company was one of the best and easiest decisions I had to make in planning our wedding. I have no doubt they could easily have provided a very elaborate and all-inclusive package that was gorgeous if that was what we had wanted (their work is amazing), but what mattered most was that they were the one vendor who actually listened to us and didn't just assume that we wanted what most other couples want. If you want someone who will provide gorgeous flowers for your wedding and cater to your every whim, then they are your florist! Thank you so much Sawyer & Company!
