Everyone knows how stressful planning a wedding can be but Kyna made everything about working with her company so easy and worry free. Kyna and Jessie were very fast at responding to any questions I had leading up to the wedding. Along with Jessie capturing our day so perfectly, she was really helpful when it came time to figuring out our wedding day timeline. I love the gallery we received from our day and can’t thank Kyna and Jessie enough!!

Sawyer Creek is wonderful and amazing to work with! We hired Kyna and Chris for an 8-hour photography and videography package for our Wisconsin wedding in June 2024 as well as our engagement session in Minnesota in 2023. Our photographs from the engagement and wedding are beautiful. The editing is great and exactly as we wanted. Kyna is super easy to work with and fast to respond. Kyna and Chris are funny and lighten everyone up! Kyna goes out of her way to make sure your photography goes well. For example, for someone who is afraid of wasps (me), Kyna literally picked up a wasp by its wing to remove it from the area before we started photos (twice). Their pricing is affordable for a very high quality experience. You won’t be disappointed to work with this team!

Kyna was amazing - at both our engagement / family shoot with our two young kids as well as our wedding. She is very professional and experienced, and it shows! She doesn't hesitate to help hurry people along or give direction as needed in order to get the best photos. She was easy to communicate with, reliable and punctual. She was flexible as needed as the day went on or as photos were requested and we always knew where she was or what she was doing as she kept myself or a wedding party member appraised. We worked with Kyna for both our engagement and wedding photos and she was amazing. She was super helpful throughout the whole process. She knew exactly what to ask and what to photograph which was great since this was my first time hiring a photographer. Plus the photos turned out so good!

Kyna was very personable and timely. We didn't do a first look and were married in a church with reception off-site. Kyna made sure we stayed on track while having fun! I am so glad we went with Kyna! We knew we made the right choice from the moment we did our engagement session, we had hundreds of great photos within a 20 minute session. We are not “photogenic” people, we’re kind of awkward and don’t take a lot of photos, which is why we appreciated Kyna so much. She did waste any time and got what we needed/wanted and so much more. She took charge of our group and made the photography of the day so easy and stress free.

We loved Sawyer Creek Photography! We booked both photography and videography with Kyna andJustin! They are so awesome and made us feel comfortable and they were fun, easy to be around. They showed up early and made sure to get all of the shots /videos requested and then some. The sneakpeaks of the photos and highlight film were AMAZING. Highly recommend this company.

We did the Orchid Collection for 5 hours of photography and 1 photographer. We were looking for something around $1,000, and Kyna was very helpful and good at communication throughout the whole process. Christ was our photographer, and he brought a good energy, easily making everyone laugh and smile for pictures (even the 3 year old!). He helped us get a good variety of pictures, and we're pleased with the pictures we got. 5 hours ended up being the perfect amount of time for our pre ceremony pictures, ceremony, and reception from the dinner through the first dances. When we decided on the Orchid Collection, Kyna let us know we could wait to decide if we wanted to add on extra hours until closer to the wedding. Though we ended up not needing to, we really appreciated the flexibility. Overall, we loved working with Kyna and Chris and love the photos we have commemorating our special day! We would definitely recommend Sawyer Creek!

We did not get to see any photos for 9 weeks so it would have been fun to see some sneak peaks but otherwise the photos are great quality and we love them!

I found Sawyer Creek on the Knot and I could not have been happier with them!! Kyna was very easy to work with and really listened to what we wanted on our wedding day. She made our engagement session fun and I knew right away that she would capture our wedding day perfectly! Good communication- maybe took a little while to answer emails, but did alway respond. The best part about Sawyer Creek was the quality of the photos- they were not hyper edited and focused on real colors and smiles from the day. Sawyer Creek Photography, Kyna, was amazing! Having to plan, hire and schedule all of our vendors while we were a few states away was a daunting task but when getting to work with vendors like Kyna it takes the stress away! Kyna was open and diligent in answering my many MANY questions leading up to our wedding day. Sawyer Creek's process in the coming days of the event is efficient and thorough and puts your mind at ease! The day of the wedding Kyna and her assistant were on time and ready to go right away and really helped the rest of the itinerary leading up to the ceremony flow flawlessly! We changed fairly last minute to skip outdoor pictures due to the cold and Kyna was more than flexible!! It was great that Kyna had prior experience shooting in our venue (The Malting Building, Duluth MN) it really showed that she knew what she was doing! We just recently received our final pictures and are in LOVE!! Our favorites are definitely our romantic partner ones but the photos from the reception are a close second. Through the photos, Kyna caught the energy on the dance floor and the immense amount of fun everyone was having. Kyna is so sweet and amazing! She traveled up to Duluth in the middle of the week in November for our elopement. She braved the cold weather while making us laugh and feel comfortable in front of the camera! Our photos turned out so beautiful! We're so so very happy with how she captured our day!

Our photos turned out 100 times better than we ever expected! Our wedding was on a hot sunny day and you can’t even tell in any of the photos that we were super sweaty!

Kyna and Chris are incredible!!! We planned our wedding and got married through the pandemic and Kyna was SO accommodating. We ended up changing our entire plan 7 weeks before the big day and Kyna's response was "we are in this with you, of course we will be there!" They drove 10+ hours to Grand Marais and home in addition to shooting our wedding for 5 hours. They are organized, timely, kind, funny and fit right into our day like we knew each other for years! We got sneak peaks from our day within a week and the entire album was delivered about a month afterwards. I was SO happy with how everything turned out especially our video. I highly recommend adding videography to your package. There is something about reliving the day in motion and hearing voices, laughter, etc. vs. still pictures. Wonderful people and you can tell they love their job!

We love Sawyer Creek for the quality and thought put into our engagement and wedding! For our wedding day, Kyna on photo and Chris on video/drone captured ALL of our unique photo-opps, and to perfection. We had a lot of events to capture (boat, sunset, fireworks), in a short time-frame, and with rain to work around. The team was amazing at managing the clock, bringing people together, and shuffling something around if needed. We completely trusted Kyna calling the shots. The team was invisible when they needed to be, and also stepped in to provide direction when necessary (like when our officiant forgot to tell the audience to be seated). She also made us feel comfortable taking photos, which is huge because my husband does not like posing. They are a fun and dedicated crew, amazing all 10 hours of the day, I hands-down recommend!

We cannot recommend Sawyer Creek Photography enough. Kyna very willingly met us for engagement photos, and endured a snowy/ice hike to a waterfall to capture the perfect photos. With many months in between, Kyna was phenomenal in the planning process of our wedding. She was always just a email or phone call away. First off, I just want to say that EVERYONE loved our photographer and everyone LOVES our pictures! Rick was our photographer and he was seriously amazing! He made everyone comfortable and laugh the entire day. He knew what I wanted/needed to relax and took care of everything for me. I had total trust and confidence in any and everything he did on my wedding day. My bridal party, family, and friends have also told me how much they enjoyed having him as the photographer. We are so lucky to have had him! Kyna was my constant contact and she was so understanding about every question or worry I had because of COVID-19. I changed my mind numerous times, asked a lot of questions, had a lot of worries, and although I apologized 500 times, she never made me feel bad about all my indecisiveness! I am absolutely IN LOVE with my Wedding pictures! Kyna is simply the best. She is easy to communicate with, professional, prompt and very talented with capturing special moments. I was blown away with how many wedding pictures I received. The editing is PERFECT and there are many different shots of the similar poses so you can choose your favorite.
