We used Joey with Sax for Everyone, and I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. It was a beautiful performance throughout our reception. Truly one of my favorite memories of the day. Highly recommend.
I first met Joey while searching for someone who could pull off the most epic addition to a proposal idea I had. I was planning a trip to New Orleans with my then-girlfriend and dreamed up this vision of “hiring” a street performer who would casually follow us through the streets of NOLA, eventually leading us to the exact spot where I would propose—near a water fountain, roses scattered everywhere, the whole moment perfectly timed.
At the time, I honestly had no idea if something like this could even be done… until I met Joey.
From the very beginning, he didn’t hesitate. He was ready for the challenge, confident, creative, and genuinely excited to help bring the vision to life. And when I say he delivered—he absolutely delivered. Joey played the role of a street performer so flawlessly that my girlfriend had no idea what was happening. When the moment finally came together and she realized we had planned this entire thing in advance, she was in total shock. The proposal was perfect.
Later on, we had another idea: having my fiancée walk down the aisle to live saxophone music. Even though it felt like a long shot to ask him to travel all the way to San Francisco, I couldn’t imagine anyone else doing it. Once again, Joey didn’t hesitate. He showed up, ready, professional, and incredible.
I truly cannot say enough good things about Joey. Professionally, he is beyond talented—his sound is beautiful, soulful, and unforgettable. But even more than that, Joey as a person is something special. His energy, his mindset, his heart—he’s just an incredible human being. I’m genuinely honored to know him.
I wish him nothing but the absolute best, and I sincerely hope he will always be part of our lives in some way, shape, or form. Thank you, Joey. ✊🏾
