I first saw Quinn perform at a bridal expo and was interested in having him play at my wedding in March 2025. I ultimately booked him to play saxophone during our cocktail hour fro...
m 4–5 p.m. Everything was arranged well in advance of the wedding, including the contract and payment.
Unfortunately, Quinn never showed up for our cocktail hour.
As the bride, I obviously had a lot going on that day and wasn’t personally attending the cocktail hour. About 15–20 minutes into it, I suddenly remembered that I should have been hearing the saxophone. I called a family member who was downstairs at the cocktail hour and asked if the sax player was there, and I was told he was not.
I immediately called Quinn, but the call went to voicemail, so I left a message explaining my concern. By this point, it was already well past his scheduled 4 p.m. start time. He called me back about 10 minutes later and said he had gotten stuck in traffic.
I found that explanation very difficult to believe. For a wedding, I would expect a vendor to plan to arrive early enough to account for traffic, parking, setup, or other potential delays, not be attempting to arrive at the exact time they were contracted to begin performing. More importantly, if he knew he was running late, I would have expected him to contact me or someone at the wedding before his scheduled start time. Instead, I was the one who had to realize he wasn’t there and reach out to him during my own wedding.
My personal impression was that the booking may have been forgotten, although of course I can’t know that for certain. Either way, the lack of communication was extremely disappointing.
Quinn did offer to play during another portion of the wedding, but that wasn’t really a workable solution. We already had a planned timeline and entertainment for the rest of the evening, and changing the program at that point would have disrupted other parts of the reception.
To his credit, he did refund my payment and also gave us an additional $50 as a wedding gift, which I appreciated. I do want to acknowledge that he made effort to make amends afterward. However, I was still very disappointed that a vendor I had booked and planned around simply wasn’t there when he was supposed to be. Having live saxophone during cocktail hour would have been such a nice touch and was something I had specifically chosen for our wedding.
Thankfully, we still had a beautiful wedding and a great day, but this was an unnecessary disappointment that could have been avoided with better planning and communication.

about 3 seconds of a song and I found myself in tears (sobbing) of joy. I listened to more of Quinn’s work on his website and fell in love with his playing. I hired him to play my ceremony and my cocktail hour in our recent June 4th wedding. I walked down the aisle to him playing that very first song he played for me… he actually helped me keep his playing as a surprise for my husband! Everyone said that my husband was blown away when Quinn started playing. My guests enjoyed him throughout cocktail hour and everyone absolutely raved about him afterward. Quinn is not only an absolutely amazing saxophonist, but he’s an all-around genuine and kind-hearted person.
