hich it did. I hit him with a last minute request just before the reception and he crushed it. Our guests were on the dance floor all night! From party classics, 2000s hits, country, EDM, and everything in-between that we told him we liked, his setlist was incredible. Every song felt like it was played at the perfect time.
Tru is also a great emcee. We had a large wedding party with lots of names and introductions, he made it a point to learn the correct pronunciation and make sure everything was exactly how we pictured it.
Lastly, Tru is just an incredible person. We recently saw him DJ'ing at a NYE party, six months after our wedding, and he immediately recognized us and played a song that he knew we would like. We can't say enough good things about and him and highly recommend him for your wedding!

Over the course of the next few months, our venue and time changed but Tru was flexible and accommodated these changes with no issues. He was extremely responsive and enthusiastic about our event--we booked him to host a rave the night before our ceremony and OOH BOY he did not disappoint! I didn't give him much direction of our vision but even so he delivered way past our expectations. He was able to read the room perfectly, playing the music/tempo that fit the vibe at that particular time. He kept the energy of the rave high and was the reason everyone was on the dance floor the whole night! who attended our small but mightly 95 person wedding has also said so nonstop for the last 2 weeks post-wedding. We were so lucky to get to hear Tru at a wedding we attended 2 years ago, with a neverending crowded dancefloor and music that was perfecfly blended for all age ranges (parents and us), and from that moment knew that if we got married anytime soon, it had to be with music by Tru!! He traveled all the way to Brooklyn for us without hesitation, understood our vibe right off the bat (mine punk pop/rock, my husbands jazzy indie), perfectly followed our dancefloor energy and did not play a single miss, nailed our must hears and even more importantly avoided our must nots, and also, is legitimately the nicest, chillest man ever. We, our bridal party and our parents are forever grateful for the guidance he gives - on speeches, on timelines, on best places for dances. He stepped in when my at times clueless planners should have been, and he helped make things so smooth and so easy. He also doesn't talk or MC a bunch and kill the vibe during random songs which was important to us. He just lets everyone dance uninterrupted. I truly mean it when I say my husband and I still can't stop talking about how amazing our music was, and how we literally could not imagine having booked anyone other than him. I mean it, don't hesitate. Tru made our wedding 100 times better than we ever could have imagined with his skills and also his energy. brought to my attention by my assistant when reviewing contracts against the calendar. She realized that two contracts were drawn up, but only one of them made it to the calendar. On further review, the other inquiry was submitted only a few weeks before this one. This error was caught recently. I’m only glad it was caught a year out instead of closer to the event. To remedy the situation, we provided options for an incredible replacement Dj or immediate return of the retainer. The retainer was returned.
By no means was there a better offer. In fact, the same package is being provided. I hate to say that these things happen because they really don’t. Especially with me. But yes, it happened and again I am very sorry. Should you decide to go with the DJ I recommended, I know you will have an amazing day.
I’m very passionate about my work. When mistakes happen, I’m equally as passionate about correcting them. Unfortunately I have to honor the date that was submitted first. I’m sorry if I wasted your time and for any inconvenience. I wish you all the best.

DJ Tru was the very first vendor I booked for MY wedding because of this. He was willing to travel from NY to NH. He recommended his STUNNINGLY talented niece who plays the harp and my fiance and I thought what better way to surprise our guests and make a memorable moment than to incorporate a harpist into our ceremony. Terrease CRUSHED the harp. Playing Led Zeppelin to Taylor swift and everything in between. Just fantastic. DJ tru got the party started instantly. From introductions, to first dances. He was our end all be all. My dad wanted to do a fun father daughter dance, Tru didn't disappoint. He made our surprise dance FLAWLESS with his dj skills. Every time I felt like I was about to tap out because I was too tired to keep dancing I was drawn back in by the beat dropping of the next banger of a song.
He took our preferences into account when selecting music and made perfect suggestions for sections of the ceremony and reception when I wasn't sure what we should play.

STARTED. Some of my favorite parts of our wedding reception was when True would come out and celebrate with us on the dance floor. He also did everything our hearts desired (and more!) despite never meeting us before the actual day. He is a consummate professional, and I honestly wish I were having events every weekend so I could hire him. He also is kind of a fixture in the area, so every other vendor we hired knew him or had worked with him. He brings a true infectious energy to every room, and makes you feel like you have known him forever. It’s almost magic.
We gave him a playlist of some songs we liked, and instead of just playing all those selections (which would’ve been fine, and easy), he curated a playlist with SETS and songs we didn’t even know we wanted. I have goosebumps typing this. It was perfect.
If you have the opportunity to hire Say I Tru for your event I beg you not to hesitate— he is the best DJ in at least the tri-state area, if not the country. I am not exaggerating at all. Thank you thank you THANK YOU, DJ Trumastr!!!!!

ial day. You see, Tru isn't just there to DJ as we commonly think of DJs today. He's more than an automated playlist--he is reading every person in the room and combining every generation and taste to entertain and cultivate the most incredible musical experience you can have. Our guests spanned decades and everyone enjoyed the way Tru found and pulled at the very strings of their hearts. Praises poured out to us at the wedding and for the days to follow of how great Tru was.
Aside from his musical abilities, Tru was flexible and accommodating for every portion of our ceremony and reception. We had some unique pieces including live musicians for our first dance as well as live worship to end the reception, and everything was seamless. He provided everything and then some so both us and the musicians had nothing to think about other than play and sing.
Tru isn't just a DJ, he's integrated into every part of your day and that's exactly the way you want it!

then fully transformed the venue into a dance party after dinner. We prepared him an inspiration playlist that was utilized perfectly, the next day I was asking him about tracks that I had heard and gotten stuck in my head because they were so good! The whole event flowed to the music and created the most beautiful atmosphere. As I mentioned before, our dinner was held in the Maker Hotel’s restaurant which is an very unique and special place decorated with restored antique furniture and enclosed in a solarium. DJ Trumastr coordinated with the hotel to arrange for the use of a custom antique DJ booth and once dinner was over and the staff removed the tables he set up lights among the ceiling high plants that transformed the venue into the coolest party setting. After an introductory call with DJ Tru, it was clear he was our guy and we never even considered another DJ. Closer to the wedding, we gave Tru a list of “must plays” and reiterated our goal to have everyone dancing all night. DJ Tru absolutely made this happen and even exceeded our expectations. He seamlessly mixed in our must play list with other songs that completely captured the vibe that we wanted. We linked up over the phone to ensure he could get to know us (we don't live where we got married) and it was as if he had been riding along in our long car rides listening to music with us for years. Every song he played hit. Every transition hit. Every speech was on time and easy. He came out and had a blast with us on the dance floor. He incorporated songs we felt were important and artists that meant something to us. We are HUGE dance floor people at weddings and we literally didn't step foot off of it once it was time to get down. Along with 90% of our guests. He and his team are clear, kind, and communicative, quick and thorough with set up and take down, and are an absolute treat to work with. My guests are STILL raving about our music for our wedding, with many saying it was the best they’ve ever heard at an event. He listened to every like and dislike, every preference down to the last detail, and I couldn’t have been more happy with the evening. I cannot recommend him enough! Thank you, Trumastr team!

He also included some cute little personal touches after speeches that we had not planned on, but added so much to our day.
Most importantly when it came time to party Tru brought the energy, fun, and dance moves.
He became best friends with everyone in the room and we were told multiple times that he provided "The best entertainment of any wedding I have ever been to."
So if you are here reading reviews to decide if you want to hire Tru, just stop reading now and call him before he books up because he definitely will.

't DJ-ed our wedding, we would have wanted him there as a guest because his positivity is electric, he is an absolute joy to be around. I could go on and on about his DJ skills, I already knew he was the best of the best when we hired him, but he absolutely blew us away at the wedding. He immediately understands the vibes of the guests, then plays the exact right song over and over again. Our guests were on the dance floor nonstop. DJ Tru was truly our dream DJ. He was the hit of our wedding - months later our guests are still talking about him. Most of them got his card, even our out of state guests! In addition to his DJ skills, he is also just a wealth of knowledge and has so many helpful tips for the wedding. He is calm, cool, and collected - making it incredibly easy to work with him. how much we love this man. He came highly recommended by our wedding photographer, and after our first convo with him we were completely sold. It also speaks volumes that when any of our other wedding vendors asked about who was DJing our reception, every single person was SO excited for us that we were able to book him. They all had the same feedback - we were going to have the best wedding and that he had immaculate taste. They were so right, his passion for music and making people happy was present every second of the day.
Not only that, he’s organized, he played everything we asked, and we are a little picky/snooty when it comes to our tunes. He kept to our wedding day schedule with intros, dances, announcements and made us feel so confident and calm on such a whirlwind of a day. I could never thank him enough for how perfect he was and for setting the BEST vibes from ceremony all the way into the after party. Every single guest was so impressed by him and a few of our relatives and friends were asking for his info to book him for their own events. We absolutely adore you Tru!!! You are always 10/10.

DJ Trumastr was the highlight of our wedding. The music was great, he kept our friends and family, including my 90+ year old grandmother dancing all night.
In all comms leading up...
to our big day, he was engaged, offered suggestions and recommendations and was an amazing partner.
On the day, he was flexible with last minute changes and pivots and was always there to provide thoughts and recomendations.
May have to renew our vows just to have another party with DJ Trumastr!!!!

as absolutely packed- people were telling us for weeks after that they hadn’t danced like that in forever! Our MOH and Father of the Bride speeches both had some musical references so Tru added these personal touches into the playlist which was more than we ever could have asked for. Tru is the BEST and you will be in for the party of your life if he is a part of your special day!

ped us created mixes for our wedding dances, and was incredible transitioning songs during our reception. This isn't just a DJ to play songs, he did this with exceptional talent. The songs were fluid with one another and he "read the room" and knew exactly what the crowd wanted next for a song. His side kick even got involved and handed out our glow/light sticks during our reception, and lit our sparklers for wedding pictures (when this really should have been the reception venues job). They both did above and beyond! No DJ we have seen since has matched this level. I am telling you, go with DJ TruMaster, you won't be disappointed and you will be blown out of the water with his creativity.
He was even willing to hang out with us the night before the wedding and the night of our wedding at the hotel. He is such a kind guy and even handed out beers to our crew. Again, above and beyond. He definitely got into this job for the right reasons.

best party we've ever been to! He used all the suggestions we talked about and included so many of the songs we've loved throughout our relationship! He kept kids and grandma and everyone between on the dance floor all night long- to the point that our guests literally didn't want to take the shuttle back and leave! He made us feel comfortable, calm and supported the entire night- we couldn't imagine our day without him!
You are an incredibly talented man, we can't thank you enough for being the pillar of the best day of our lives!
