Planning a wedding during Covid make everything a tad more difficult, but, when we met you wedding day, we both said we felt like we knew you for years. We had an intimate wedding of 35 people and you felt like another guest to us. Not only did you work the crowd with your music selection but you worked the dance floor! Get you a DJ who engages!! ove a wide range of music that includes house, new wave, funk, glam rock, and other genres. Trumastr was able to incorporate all our musical requests, blend them seamlessly, and had our friends and family (who include a lot of discerning music fans) dancing even before dinner was served. He is an artist and a performer, and even kept things delightful when a friend accidentally pulled his power plug and disrupted his set. He improvised with the crowd and even respected our request to play a song that my uncle and aunt wrote in the 1980s which meant the world to them. He's the True Master. You'll be lucky to have him at your wedding!

o hire - not only does everyone rave about his weddings, but Tru also DJs for and supports capital region organizations and causes we care about. As we waited through COVID and hoped and hoped that we could still get to have a great dance floor, we saw Tru DJ several times around town. He was always on point and each time we got more excited. He blew even our highest expectations out of the water! The dance floor was packed from the first minute until the venue sent us on our way, and he even had my grandparents in on the action. Beyond that, he played deep cut songs that I love to dance to but didn't even request or mention because I thought they would be too random for our guests, and he managed to mix them in ways that everyone loved. He also helped us make the best of things that went wrong - when our chuppah made of colorful legos fell apart, he incorporated the legos around the DJ station as if we planned it. He got on the dance floor himself with some epic moves, and incorporated songs on the fly in response to themes raised in our speeches. This weekend was everything we could have hoped for and more and a big part of why is because of Tru. We can't wait to see him DJ around town again soon.

We planned everything ourselves and unfortunately lacked a little structure once the reception started...Tru stepped in and really helped manage the moments. We had some odd requests of dance songs from Bulgaria.... He found them and played them ..we wanted to hear the calling of a horse race... He played it through the speakers... Tru was a professional and more throughout the night. I haven't been to any event where the DJ played such a great roll. Lots of guests have asked about him since. If you have the opportunity to work with him, DO IT!

A great stream of dead songs where my Dead loving family could enjoy and dance to. When it came time to the dance party let me tell you— we partied. DJ Trumastr was able to combine a masterpiece of Biggie, Arabic music, and wedding classics i.e. Whiteny Houston and Journey. Tru didn’t just stay behind the booth. When our wedding gets started Irish step dancing Tru showed us his break dancing skills and starting windmilling on the floor. On top of amazing DJing talent he Tru is such an awesome human who genuinely wants to make your day as magical as possible. He helped bring a slide show to life for my grandfather who had unexpectedly passed before our wedding day. Over 2 months later friends and family are STILL talking about DJ Trumastr. My husband and I can’t wait to see him spinning again. You are doing yourself disservice if you don’t hire him.

oke with DJ Tru, I was hooked. I knew that he was the right person for our wedding. He was so easy to talk with, understood the kind of event we were trying to create, and was fun, energetic, and positive. Everything about him made me trust that he would create the right energy for our wedding. We ended up booking True based solely on my one, brief conversation with him, without Dan (now husband) talking with or meeting him, because I knew he would feel the same way I did. We even switched our wedding date in order to book him. To prepare for the event, we sent True a mood board of what our event would look like, a general description of the feel we were going for and 15 or so songs that we wanted to hear and represented what we were looking for. The day of the event, True was as good, if not better than we expected. Based on very little direction, he created a unique, but accessible playlist for our guests. We had a daytime wedding and weren’t sure how much people would dance. He got everyone from the age of 3 to 92(!) on the dance floor. We received multiple compliments from guests about how great the music was and just how great he was in general. A few other things we really loved about True: he didn’t do anything cheesy, he used the mic the perfect amount for the type of event, AND he dressed cool!!! His energy and style totally matched our daytime-picnic-garden party vibe. We couldn’t recommend him more!!! Already trying to think of reasons to book him again!

e had the best time all night and we knew we made the right decision. We had a challenging venue - multiple floors and limited audio - and DJ Trumastr made it work. He was professional, courteous, played to the crowd and even managed the space during down times. Our guests loved when he joined in on the dance floor. He also helped us pick out lighting color and made a special playlist for us for a room on the third floor where he was not located during the event. 25-40 question questionnaire so he had all the information he needed for the big day. On the day of our wedding, it ended up raining which changed how the cocktail hour/reception was going to work. Even though we hadn't been contracted with him to do cocktail hour, Tru stepped up and mixed the songs we had on a cell phone into his mix so that people weren't left sitting in silence for a little over an hour. The reception was perfect - he played all of our must haves and chose the best fillers based on what we had requested. I have never been to a wedding where more people of varying ages were on the dance floor - and Tru even joined us at the end!! If you are looking for a DJ in upstate NY, you would be wasting your money if you went anywhere else.

He really feels the vibe of the room and chooses the right music at the right time. The energy was palpable all evening thanks to him. Our family and friends were raving about how he is the best DJ they’ve experienced. As an aside, he also has a killer sense of style. We couldn’t have dreamed of a more magical wedding and True was such an incredible part of it. Our only regret is that it’s over. Now we just have to find an excuse to work with him again!

DJ Trumastr isn't your typical wedding DJ - no cheesy MC playing the same old hits here. He is classy, on his A game and all times, and knows how to play to the crowd and host a sick party! My husband and I aren't into much mainstream top 40 hits type music and felt like we needed to pick a bunch of typical songs to please our audience. Tru encouraged us to throw all of the "shoulds" out the window and tell him what WE wanted to hear. He took our ideas and rolled with them and was able to craft us a beautiful and unique soundtrack from start (orchestral music from video games and string quartet versions of classic rock songs) to middle (trip hop at dinner? yeah!) to getting the whole family on the floor for some salsa dancing to all our friends throwing down to dubstep and electronic music at the end of the night. He is a pro at making the soundtrack of the best day of your life EXACTLY how it should sound!! We got so many compliments and really feel like we couldn't have picked someone better. If Tru has your wedding date open on his calendar, do yourself a favor and book him asap!

My then fiance and I went to check him out at Lucas Confectionery, and he rocked the house all night. We were sold from that point on! We planned our wedding two years in advanced, so when we decided to get married in Lake Placid, we knew it might be a reach to expect Tru to get up there. We also had a welcome party for all our guests the night before our wedding, so of course we asked Tru if he would be willing to not only DJ our wedding but also our welcome party. Good thing we asked him two year out! He did indeed end up spending the whole weekend in Lake Placid and it was nothing short of fantastic. He had our guests dancing all night on Friday, and even more so on Saturday - The energy all weekend was amazing! What I didn't mention was the time Trumastr spent leading up to the wedding, getting to know Alyssa and I, and working out the music selections for the weekend. We have a wide array of music we like, from hip-hop to country, to EDM, and of course some old school soul music! This might be a tall order for most DJ's - Finding a way to incorporate all these different styles of music, while keeping not only the Bride and Groom happy, but also their guests on the dance floor. If I could I'd share with you all pictures from the night - Our dance floor was PACKED. He killed it. In conclusion, we were so pleased with Trumastr, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone that asked. He started the weekend as our DJ and ended the weekend as our friend. Now I just need to find another excuse to have a party where I can hire Tru again!

Once dinner ended the dance floor was jam packed until our wedding ended. The music never stopped and flowed together perfectly and seamlessly. Tru played something for everyone at our wedding and put his own unique spin on the entire evening. usic I wanted to have. I have never encountered so many people recommending a specific vendor to me, so DJ Trumastr was an easy choice. He completely EXCEEDED every expectation I had at our wedding. All he really had to go on was me saying "middle school, circa 2003/2004" and my husband saying "She likes Ja Rule". DJ Trumastr is more than a DJ, he is an artist and that is gifted with intuition and the ability to know what a couple needs without them even knowing it themselves. He kept the dance floor full of guests and successfully read the crowd and knew what everyone wanted to hear. I walked down the aisle with my father to a cover of "Can't Help Falling in Love with You", a song that has a myriad of sentimental value to me. The last song he played at our wedding was the original version, and everyone in my family (even my grandparents, who don't dance) got up and my wedding ended with me being surrounded by all the people I love to a song that held so much meaning. It was my favorite part of the entire day, and I can't think of it without crying--my biggest regret is not having that on video! You will not regret hiring him as he is not only a great DJ but also a spectacular individual as well. Thank you for making our wedding so special!

In any-case we told him the style of wedding we wanted, and he shared with us his knowledge of music and his experience he can bring to the table. Well, At that point we were even more sold! My complete experience of DJ Tru is that he takes his job extremely seriously and you are guaranteed to have a wonderful experience.
