We were married surrounded by the raw, untouched beauty of Alaska—towering mountains rising around us and a stunning river flowing nearby, its presence calm and powerful all at once. The scenery alone felt sacred, like nature itself was witnessing our vows. It was intimate, peaceful, and absolutely awe-inspiring.
Laura officiated our ceremony with such grace, warmth, and authenticity. From the moment she spoke, I felt grounded and fully present. She captured our love story so beautifully that it felt deeply personal—like she truly knew us. Her words were heartfelt, her presence calming, and her delivery flawless. I felt seen, supported, and completely at ease as I stepped into this new chapter of my life.

Helping others has always played a part in Laura's life. For years she was a counselor in New Hampshire before the appeal of Alaska’s stunning nature drew her north. Laura is proud to play a part in joining couples together with each ceremony she officiates.
Say Yes Alaska, Wedding Officiants works with couples from concept to completion, ensuring their event is everything they dreamed of and more. Laura and her staff have officiated ceremonies in locations as diverse as glaciers, mountain tops and to remote wilderness lodges. With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry she has been working with couples starting their journey together and finds joy in every new beginning.
Having received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Connecticut she had a rewarding career as a counselor in New England where she was born and raised. Her adventurous spirit brought her north where she has embraced the outdoor lifestyle.

hat I work nights in healthcare so my schedule is a mess and makes it kind of difficult to get ahold of people during "functioning hours" for me. Even with that, Laura was amazing to work with and made the whole process so wonderful. She was patient and understanding with me, and was on top of communication and providing helpful information and making sure I had though of everything (did I consider what time my ceremony was vs how long it would take us to get back to town for dinner reservations, would restaurants in the area be open at that time, inclement weather planning, backup planning, ect). We were from out of state and applied for our marriage license during the time frame that Alaska vital records had been hacked and was having issues processing applications. Laura made sure to check in with us along the way to ensure we were still making progress and helped out any way she could with the stress of making sure we had all of our paperwork in order. As if that wasn't enough, one of our witnesses had an unexpected medical issue and with less than a week from the elopement, we found out he could no longer be at the ceremony with us. Again, Laura jumped right in and told us not to worry, if we needed a witness she could help with that, and not let it stress us out. As for the ceremony itself, she was so professional, kind, and absolutely knocked it out of the park.

When I had hiccups with shipping for an item I wanted to be included in the ceremony, she came up with an alternate option so we didn’t have to cut the tradition from our day. She was wonderful and so supportive of making it everything we envisioned. I am so grateful that we chose her to officiate our marriage. She also was nice enough to bring her boyfriend for bear patrol and the two of them were so sweet to take pictures and video for us that we wouldn’t have had otherwise. They were so sweet and helpful. We appreciated everything they did for us!

We both very much enjoyed meeting with her and discussing our wedding. Our officiant, Ms. Kerry of Say Yes, was early to the venue to meet us there and we instantly felt comfortable and relaxed with her! The ceremony was perfect. We knew exactly how it would go before we got started. Ms. Kerry read the ceremony beautifully and elegantly. By the time it was over I felt as if we’d met a new friend!
We are both Type A neurotic people and the Say Yes Team went out of their way to make sure we had the elopement ceremony of our dreams. Forget the pandemic, forget the wedding jitters, just hire Say Yes and they will ensure your day feels like the beautiful moment it should feel like!!!!

She put us on the right path and sent us her information with packages of what we could do & plenty of ideas! What a wonderful experience even though it was not the wedding we planned. It was cold, breezy and somewhat sunny. Despite the weather, this team made us feel so humbled and very welcomed. t this all would be possible. We just pitched a random idea to Laura and she was all on board with it. She got a table, rocks, fire and a bowl to create a portable fire pit for us on a random mountain that we had picked for our ceremony in Alaska.
She was very communicative and always followed up with us about our needs. I can’t recommend her enough for your ceremony. She is super flexible, accommodative and extremely cooperative.

kily for us, Laura went above and beyond. Laura had several conversations with my then fiancé and me along the way. She was the one who suggested the majestic backdrop of Hatcher Pass for the ceremony. She talked us through the necessary steps to feel safe about traveling during this unprecedented time. Laura gave us advice as we made plans for accommodations and experiences before and after our wedding day. She was professional, kind, and patient in every communication we shared. Before the bid day, we talked about our vision for the ceremony. Laura sent us a draft of the ceremony based on our conversations and encouraged us to ask for changes so the ceremony would be exactly what we wanted, and it was! She even coordinated with our photographer, florist, and witnesses (all of whom we adored) so that he and I could concentrate on one another. Laura took care of the details around filing our license so we knew everything was in good hands as we moved on to our honeymoon. On the day of our wedding, Laura had created an environment in which my husband and I were able to relax, have fun, and truly be in the moment. We could not have asked for anything more. With my whole heart, I recommend Say Yes Alaska if you are planning to be married in Alaska. Laura made our day perfectly unforgettable, and we are incredibly grateful for her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail.

many changes along the way. We ended up selecting a glacier helicopter ceremony (just my husband and me) and Laura was more than happy to accommodate! She was professional, timely, kind and a delight to work with.
We selected “Say Yes” by pure chance and we couldn't be more delighted with the outcome. Laura is also very knowledgeable about the town and she was able to recommend a fantastic local florist, restaurant and hotel.

COVID added even more stress!! Laura took the time to talk at length by phone so we could to get to know each other and what we were looking for! She was so helpful in all of the arrangements as an officiant which was such a relief! And she was very willing to travel to our chosen location!!
