them. They are a sweet, family-run bakery in Little Italy that will give you a LOT of individual time and attention. I called to set up a tasting and--you won't believe it-- the tasting was FREE. Every other place I called charged at least $25 and offered only 4-5 options. Scafuri brought out tiny samples--but of 15 or so cake and frosting options. When I wanted a specific buttercream and they didn't have it on the tasting plate, they quickly mixed it in the back and brought it out. Having the cakes and the frostings separate meant that I could "mix and match" and taste a lot of different combinations. There were literally dozens of options--and most of them are not ones offered at other bakeries (cannoli flavor, anyone?) In the end, I chose a 3-tiered cake to feed 80 people: the bottom layer was coconut with a coconut custard and a passionfruit jam filling; the second was chocolate with a chocolate ganache and a Bailey's buttercream filling; the top was a vanilla cake with a balsamic strawberries and cream cheese filling. It was frosted with vanilla buttercream in a naked cake style. It was perfect. My guests raved about it--I loved it, too! AND it was at least $300 cheaper than any other bakery quoted me. I HIGHLY recommend Scafuri Bakery.

We gave Kelly a few pictures of what we were thinking of but otherwise gave her free reign, and it turned out better than I could have imagined. My only regret is that I didn't order MORE desserts - they disappeared extremely quickly!

She also came up with a beautiful design for the cake that fit right in with the theme of our wedding. The gum paste flowers on the cake were a great touch! In addition to appearance the cake was delicious as well and we received tons of complements on it. Kelly was also very responsive throughout the process and was open to changes when we wanted to make them. We would definitely recommend working with Scafuri Bakery!

was hard to decide. There were numerous cake options, fillings and frostings that allowed for a variety of combinations to choose from. The awesome benefit of working with Scafuri Bakery is that we were able to choose multiple cake flavors for our guests at no additional cost. We chose a vanilla cake with raspberry jam, red velvet cake with a cream cheese filling and, our favorite, a chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream (so good!). We even had guests sending us pictures later in the evening and the next day of them enjoying some of the leftover cake from the reception, raving about how delicious it was! On top of the cake flavors being mouth-watering, working with Kelly was what ultimately solidified our decision to order our wedding cake from Scafuri Bakery. She was kind and patient and truly worked to design a cake that met exactly what we envisioned. She even altered her cream cheese filling recipe slightly to make it more sweet than sour, just like my mother’s recipe. The cake looked absolutely beautiful with a coral ombre design and we couldn’t have been more pleased with everything Kelly did for us. To top it all off, the price was reasonable and Kelly handled everything the day of the wedding to ensure the cake arrived on time and in perfect condition. You won’t be disappointed if you order your wedding cake from Scafuri Bakery!
