No strangers in adjacent rooms. No venue staff rushing you out at midnight. Just your wedding party, your people, and 13 bedrooms on a historic 1821 National Historic Landmark property in the heart of Eastern North Carolina. We are Josh and Meika Darville. We live here. We are personally present at every wedding, not as distant owners who collect a check, but as the people who unlock the gate Friday afternoon, greet your family, make sure the fire pits are going, and check in Sunday morning before everyone goes home. If something needs attention, you are not calling a 1-800 number. You are talking to us. Here is what a Scarborough House weekend looks like: Your guests arrive Friday. The wedding party settles into 13 bedrooms sleeping 26+ people on the property. Saturday is the ceremony and reception under the stars, on the ceremony lawn, beneath the magnolia tree, or inside the 225-capacity Magnolia Pavilion. Saturday night the party does not end at a hotel lobby. It moves to the fire pits. Sunday morning your people wake up, come downstairs, and someone makes biscuits in a kitchen that was built for exactly this. One more meal. One more morning. Then real life starts again. No other venue in Eastern North Carolina offers this. Not because others have not tried, but because this model requires actually living here. We do. The property: 5 outdoor ceremony sites, private pool, 6 fire pits, four lodging buildings, a full commercial kitchen, the Magnolia Pavilion reception hall, and two bridal suites. Built in 1821.
