Scarlet Oaks Estate

5/5!! As a local wedding and events professional, I had the pleasure of working with Bridgett to host a stylized intimate wedding at SOE. Bridgett and I did not know each other very well when I reached out to her, but by the end of the shoot I felt as if we had know each other for years! Bridgett was super easy to work with and was open to all of the creative ideas myself and the photographer had for the space. She is very fun, easy to talk to and truly wants what is best for each person she works with. I hope we get to work together again soon!

So far so good!! The place is beautiful and won my heart the minute I walked through the property! Kate and Bridget have been very responsive and helpful along the way!! I cant wait to get married there!!

We had a beautiful wedding at Scarlet Oaks in June 2018! The setting is gorgeous. The owners are nice, but since it is a newer venue, a few overall improvements could be made. Additionally, due to the fact that you bring in your own vendors for everything, I would definitely recommend hiring a day of wedding coordinator, as we did, to help manage all of the vendors or else you or a family member would have to do this. One complaint we had was transparency in regards to the security deposit. During our final walkthrough at Scarlet Oaks, the owners indicated the deposit is for any damages. After our wedding, we were told we wouldn’t get our all of our deposit back due to excess trash left in the venue and guest house. We were not aware that trash needing to be disposed of, and it would have been helpful if the owners told us this at the walkthrough as our coordinator was there and would have made sure the trash was gone if she was aware, but since they just said “damages” our coordinator assumed the owners cleaned up the trash. This was very disappointing to us as we spent the extra money to hire a coordinator to ensure items like these would be taken care of, but Scarlet Oaks failed to mention. Additionally, the owners told us they would be contacting the bus company we hired to transport our guests to/from hotel to the wedding to come out and do a trial run since they have never had 57 passenger buses on the property and they wanted to make sure the company knew how to navigate the estate. It turns out the owners never contacted the bus company which was also disappointing as the owners tried to get us to end our reception early since the buses arrived early and they didn’t want them waiting on the property. As the bride, it is not fun being approached mid-reception to discuss this matter due to the fact that they didn’t contact the bus company in the first place as they said they would. A positive is that the owners are very responsive to emails!

My husband and I fell in love with this venue from the moment we stepped on the property. It is such a uniquely beautiful place. Every single one of ours guests raved about how gorgeous it was and asked how we ever found it. It is truly a hidden gem. Everything has been renovated and bathrooms have been added for the barn. Kate And Bridgett along with their husbands were so great to work with as well. We are so grateful to have had our wedding here.

Such a beautiful venue, had my ceremony and reception in the barn, in mid-November. The owners are amazing and helped a lot with making sure the ceremony went as smooth as possible!

Bridget and Kate Words cannot express how grateful Blain and I are for the tremendous amount of work and dedication that went into our wedding. From the day you closed on the property we knew Scarlet Oaks was THE place we wanted to get married. Being the first wedding at Scarlet Oaks we had no idea what to expect. It has been an exciting ride watching the transformation that Scarlet Oaks has undergone; the final touches turned out perfectly. Your care and professionalism planning our wedding was proven with each meeting, email and phone call. When our color preference was different than the standard napkin colors offered, you quickly found a color match with another vendor at a great price to supply them. The unpredictable weather was a challenge you graciously accepted. Last minute planning which included renting tents and heaters were no match for you! Your calm and confident composure reassured me and I knew I was in good hands. You kept me updated with weather changes and options as the day progressed without being pushy or overbearing. While staying at both houses, the accommodations were wonderful. The homemade pastries and quiches were delicious! We loved having the reception dinner in the Main house; it was convenient and felt like home. Thanks again for all your hard work! Beautiful! The girls were very excited to work with us. While they are still working on renovations, their plans are big and beautiful! Cannot wait to see it finished!
