Scarlet Roots

feel so comfortable. Nic and I are not the type of people who feel natural in front of the camera, but Jules made everything feel easy, fun, and completely authentic. She captured our wedding weekend at Chatham Bars Inn in the most beautiful, intentional way — from the big emotional moments to the quiet, in-between ones we’ll treasure forever. When we received our gallery, we were blown away. Every image felt timeless, thoughtful, and so reflective of us and our weekend. Jules didn’t just deliver photos, she told our story in a way we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We truly couldn’t recommend her more.

stood our vision from day one. Investing in photo and video is my #1 tip for all brides. Her photos are incredible and something we will cherish forever. Thank you again!

ommend working with Jules!!!

lessly. On top of her amazing talent, she’s such a warm, happy, and lovely person. Being around her made our day even more special. We couldn’t be happier with our photos!

don’t fully capture is what the person behind the camera brings to the wedding. Jules brought so much positivity and energy to the day that they made a group of introverts feel like supermodels, completely comfortable in front of the camera. From the moment we first spoke with Jules on the phone we could tell she was just the photographer we needed and although we had high expectations, she blew them out of the water. Kind, communicative, professional, and a true expert with a camera are just a few words to describe Scarlet Roots. While there are lots of photographers that can take great pictures (although not quite as great as Jules if you ask us) what truly separates Jules from other photographers is her personality and the personal touch she provides. From posed pictures, to overhead shots, and perfectly timed candids, Scarlet Roots documented every moment of our wedding day and we’re so grateful to Jules and her team. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer, we’re happy to tell you the search is over, Jules is by far the best photographer on the Cape and the only person you want photographer your wedding day. Thank you, Jules!!

er team were able to capture such amazing photos (despite the crazy weather we had!) and we are so happy with how they turned out. The photos truly capture the essence of us, our family and friends, and our wedding day.

wn the road. From the very first consultation to the moment we received our final gallery, the experience was absolutely seamless. Professionally, there is nobody I'd trust more with capturing the essence of our day- I'm talking every minuscule authentic moment. Jules delivered a gallery of photos that are natural, timeless, and full of genuine emotion. I couldn't be happier with them. But more importantly, Jules brought a comfort and overall lightness to the wedding day that can't be matched. From the moment Jules and her team walked into my bridal suite on wedding day I felt a rush of calm and an overpowering trust that everything would be great now that Jules was there. She is personable, comforting, authentic, and bright/bubbly in the most refreshing way. I can confidently say that hiring Jules was the best and easiest decision we made for our wedding. Truly could not rave about her more!!!

ams. From the very beginning, the planning process with her was seamless. Every meeting left me feeling confident, calm, and completely certain that she understood my vision. As someone who is very picky and a true perfectionist, I was surprised (and relieved!) to find that I could fully let go and trust Jules to work her magic - and she absolutely did. She went above and beyond her job description in every way. She helped build our timeline, offered insider advice on how the day could flow best, and even helped with details that had nothing to do with photography. When I changed my mind last-minute and wanted a second shooter, she made it happen without any stress. One thing I deeply appreciated was how committed she was to getting the perfect shot. Whether it meant moving furniture, clearing clutter, or climbing up on something to get the best angle. She did it, without hesitation. Her creativity and determination were incredible to witness. On the actual day, we could not have asked for a better person to be by our side. Her calming presence, intuition, and positive energy were invaluable. She didn’t just take beautiful photos, she made the whole day feel smoother, more grounded, and more joyful. It felt like having a teammate and a friend who had our backs the entire time. Now that we’re post-wedding… wow. Her work is beyond amazing. She captured not just how everything looked, but how it all felt...the emotions, the energy, the little in-between moments. We didn’t hire a videographer, so there was extra pressure on the photos to tell the story of our day, and she absolutely delivered. I'm honestly at a loss for words at how happy and grateful we are to have these images. If you’re still reading this: don’t hesitate. Book Scarlet Roots. Move on. It's one of the best decisions we made, and I’d choose her again a thousand times over.

she does. And clearly amazing at what she does!! She was so patient with many schedule changes and so go with the flow. She brought so much happiness and love to our day and made everyone feel so comfortable in front of the camera. She was in my corner throughout the entire day and made sure that I had everything that I needed. She captured the most amazing moments and made sure that our needs were met. She is absolutely fabulous and we hope to use her someday in the future!!!! We love Jules!

oyable for everyone, even those that are not typically comfortable in front of the camera. She is so kind, energetic, encouraging, and organized - truly has every quality you're looking for in a photographer. She helped us make sure the day flowed well and that we could focus on having fun! The photos turned out AMAZING and she was able to turn them around incredibly quickly. I would recommend Jules to anyone getting married, she was the first vendor we picked and so glad we did!

timeless aesthetic I was looking for (but even more stunning!). Jules is also so sweet and enjoyable to be around. She is so fun to work with and made taking our portraits a highlight of our day. I am so thankful to have had her as our photographer and to have our memories captured so beautifully!

work speaks for itself, and we have hundreds of favorites from our own gallery, finding it incredibly hard to narrow down just which ones we love most. Jules is undeniably talented behind the camera – making it look effortless, she can get every shot looking it’s best, while also being able to capture the emotion. We are in awe of how she perfectly photographed the day from start to finish, and the preservation of those memories is truly priceless. Aside from her ability to provide exceptional work, she was such a pleasure to work with from leading up to the day to the day itself – she’s a wedding day subject matter expect, and easily able to command a group and keep things moving on schedule, while also being such a radiant warm presence to be around. She makes every moment of the day even more fun, and we absolutely loved having her as a part of everything – she brings such overwhelming joy upon entering a room. We are so grateful to have had the ability to work with Jules, and will treasure not only her photos provided, but the time spent with her on our wedding day, for many years to come. Thank you, Jules! We can’t say it enough!

rant personality that makes you feel extremely special and well taken care of. I honestly looked to Jules for more than just photography, she was there to guide me through creating a wedding timeline and provided fabulous recommendations on other vendors for our wedding day, as well. She advised me to put all our "details" items in separate clear containers for the "details" shots, which was extremely helpful in keeping organized, as well. She truly is the full package. If you decide to hire Jules (which you should), listen to her! I wish we had extended our photography coverage looking back on it, which she had advised us on prior. Jules also works with different levels of budgets - from high profile NHL players to those a bit more cost-conscious, like myself - and makes each client feel extremely important. On the day of our wedding, she was extremely professional and committed - for example, I distinctly remember her climbing up on large stone rocks and balancing to capture our large family group shot. She is a true empath and feels/notices energy in the room. She checked in on me whenever she felt a shift in my energy, to make sure I felt my happiest. Lastly, Jules works very efficiently. We received our "preview" edited pictures within 1 week of our wedding! And the preview included a TON of pictures. We received the rest of the pictures back within the month of our wedding - something I found unique to other photographers in the industry. Needless to say, I would recommend Jules again and again!!

Her bubbly and upbeat personality made every moment feel special, and her attention to detail and professionalism were evident throughout. Even before the wedding, her emails were a bright spot in my inbox—helping to create a timeline, answer any questions I had, and provide recommendations based on her vast experience. My bridal party couldn’t stop raving about how much they loved her and how comfortable she made everyone feel in front of the camera. And the photos—wow! They are beyond anything we could have dreamed of. Each image beautifully captures the magic of our day. If you’re looking for a photographer who combines incredible skill with a warm, positive attitude, Jules (Scarlet Roots) is your perfect choice. Thank you for making both our engagement shoot and wedding day so memorable and beautiful!

both shoots a truly joyful process. The engagement shoot captured everything we were about and was the perfect media for all our save the dates, invites, and website backdrops. On the day of the wedding Jules and her second photographer, Jose, were efficient and professional. They captured brilliant shots in every arrangement you could want and still bought us extra time to get out there and party longer on our big day. For both photo shoots Jules integrated seamlessly with our video vendor, and helped us capture beautiful moments that weren’t forced or staged. Jules is a must have for all of your photography needs.

let Roots! We had the absolute pleasure of working with Jules for our 2023 summer wedding. She did the most incredible job capturing our big day! From the moment she arrived, Jules’ presence elevated the day– she fell seamlessly into our group! Jules has a magical way of hyping everyone up and making them feel their best, all while simultaneously bringing calm and order to any chaos. Most importantly, Jules made us (all) feel so comfortable and natural, allowing her to capture so many beautiful and real moments throughout the day. Her photography style has the power to transport you back in time to a specific moment, feeling, or emotion, and for that, we’ll be forever grateful to have had Jules capture all of our wedding day! Scarlet Roots is the best of the best when it comes to wedding photographers. She was communicative, professional, helpful (in so many ways) and so incredibly kind. I couldn’t recommend her more for your upcoming wedding!

e is incredibly talented, warm, kind, patient, organized, and professional. Jules goes above and beyond to make your experience amazing and she made both my husband and I feel completely at ease despite us both naturally being a bit camera shy. She was also so incredibly helpful throughout the planning process from working with us to craft the perfect timeline to recommending other vendors. Jules was always super clear and responsive over email and she is clearly beloved by the Boston wedding community - all of our vendors were SO excited to hear Jules was a part of our day. It’s clear to see why - her energy is contagious and she brought nothing but joy and positivity to every interaction. We are incredibly happy with all of our photos and will cherish them for years to come. If you’re looking for a photographer, hire Jules ASAP before she books up!! We cannot recommend her enough.

Jules (and her team of 2 other wonderful photographers), her vibrant and fun attitude was contagious. She was not just a photographer hired for the event, but quickly became part of our celebration. Her ability to blend in and capture candid moments was impeccable. The photos she delivered were not only abundant in quantity but also incredible - Jules made sure to capture all of our family and closest friends in our album and she somehow got photos of EVERYONE, too (around 400 guests!). On top of being such a pleasure to work with and delivering such amazing photos, I HAVE to mention that Jules went above and beyond by coming to our afterparty, which was not expected of her by any means. It's rare to find someone like Jules - her dedication to capturing every aspect of our celebration was evident. To say Jules over-delivered would be an understatement. The pictures were delivered promptly, each one a testament to her skill and attention to detail. They are memories we will treasure forever, captured beautifully thanks to Jules' incredible talent. If you're looking for a photographer who is not only talented but also brings a positive, fun energy to your event, Jules is the perfect choice. We couldn't be happier with her work and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer who truly cares about capturing the essence of your special day. Jules - we love you!!

of the way. Jules is the sweetest and most fun person to work with! Her bubbly personality and positivity put us right at ease and kept us in the moment. Her photography skills are top-notch. From portraits to fun in the moment photos, we received an incredible range that captured all we were looking for and more! Her eye for detail, lighting, and location is truly incredible. We are obsessed with how our photos turned out and couldn’t wait to share them with family and friends! On our wedding day she was an upbeat but calming presence that was so appreciated. She was able to capture our special day in a way that we will cherish forever, and we had a blast working with her. Any time we need a photographer in the future, there is no doubt we will be reaching out to Jules!

is so dynamic and brings this energy that eases any anxiety, helps to make you feel most comfortable, and feels like you're hanging out with your bestie. From our engagement shoot to the actual wedding day, I was thrilled to have Jules with us every step of the way. Additionally, her preparation and expertise is top notch. Based on our needs and the details she gathers, she builds a perfect timeline that I then extended across the day. Her vision of the day was really the backbone of our planning and execution. And when we were having so much fun on the dance floor, she didn't hesitate to stay a bit longer to capture even more goodness. I will sing her praises until I'm blue in the face. But for now, I'm going to relish in all of the gorgeous moments she captured!!

oody, fall portraits to the madness on the dance floor, Jules was able to capture my day perfectly. In addition to her amazing work, Jules is the absolute best hype woman and made me feel so comfortable and beautiful on my wedding day. She ends up feeling like another friend at the wedding! She is definitely one of the best decisions I could have made for my wedding!

at 'vibe' we were going for on our wedding day. She fully understood exactly what we wanted, and went above and beyond. She is incredibly talented, hard-working, and most importantly, has such a warm and fun presence - which helped my husband and I as well as our entire wedding party to loosen up and have fun and be ourselves, as Jules snapped away, capturing some of the most special moments perfectly. It is so obvious Jules truly loves what she does (always with the biggest smile on her face) and her impressive portfolio speaks for her talent and skill.

was very receptive and collaborative with photo ideas. She was extremely organized and kept us on our timeline getting us all the shots we need. I couldn’t recommend her enough!

l. It was so much fun getting to know her and she is someone who was MEANT to be in the wedding industry. Her energy and positivity is contagious, and she is the definition of a girl boss. You can truly see how serious she takes her job and how much passion she has for what she does. Her photography skills are magical…I knew that from the first moment I creeped on Scarlet Roots Instagram page. Jules genuinely wants to get to know her couples on a personal level and will make sure no matter what (weather or imperfections), you have the best day of your life. She can make the most awkward person comfortable in front of the camera and have a blast when doing so. When deciding which vendors you should prioritize, please look no further if Jules has your wedding date available. She will not only help you plan the entire wedding with her amazing timeline template, but also deliver photos that you will have for a lifetime. Her luxury style is unlike any other and was by far one of the BEST decisions we made on our big day!

such positive energy and joy the entire time. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and made the whole process feel fun instead of stressful. When we got our photos back, we were stunned at how perfectly Jules captured our wedding day. It really feels like she got all the special, natural moments, while giving us beautiful photos we will cherish forever. If Jules is available on your date, book her!

is SO bubbly - it’s contagious! She is such a sweet human, so professional, outgoing and personable! From our initial conversations to the very end - I wish every vendor was as organized and prompt as she was. Jules brought our couple to an area by the water in Newport despite the couple not originally being interested in going off site but we were able to persuade them to let Jules work her magic and she did! The pictures look like the belong in a Newport Wedding magazine. The couple were so happy that they followed Jules’ advice and took pictures with multiple different scenic backdrops! Jules was so amazing and sent a huge sneak peek to the couple and sent all of the vendors the gallery when it was complete. It is not often you get a photographer who is willing to share their work with vendors and follows up with sending galleries when they say they will! Jules did not miss a beat with anything on the wedding day and captured every little moment that was happening! Everyone felt comfortable with her and I truly wish I could work all of my weddings with her! I would HIGHLY recommend working with Jules for your photography needs. I will absolutely be sharing her information with everyone I know!

and I were so happy with our choice and have raved about her since our first meeting. She is so thorough, fun to work with, and truly lead the way for us to have a perfect wedding day. Not only did she outline how the entire day would run, but she was a complete hype girl for us (which was great because otherwise we tend to be a little camera shy). We got a great subset of our photos within days and the full set of photos within a month. We can’t get over how amazing they are. They captured who we are as a couple and really embodied the feel of our wedding day. You can tell that Jules loves her job and enjoys every step of the process with you. We feel so lucky to have had Jules photograph our wedding day and will be forever grateful for her beautiful work.

us as ease every step of the way. Our wedding photos came out better than I could have ever imagined, Jules beautifully captured every aspect of the day. On top of being one of the most friendly and warm people, Jules is exceptionally talented and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. I cannot recommend working with Jules enough and would give her ten stars if I could!

ounds. Then she helped us think through what types of photos we’d want taken, what family combinations we’d want in each, and the overall logistics of our big day. She was as glowing, kind, professional & thought-provoking as you could imagine, so it didn’t take long for my wife & I to commit to her following the zoom. We ended up getting married on February 3rd 2023, which wound up being one of the coldest days on record for the city of Boston in the last several decades (-22 degrees F w/ wind chill). Nevertheless, Jules showed up & led us through both indoor & outdoor photoshoots for about 3 hours. She was incredibly resourceful as we moved around Boston, finding angles, architecture, furniture, & landscapes that resulted in one of the most jaw-dropping works of wedding photography we’d ever seen. While walking us through certain poses, stances, & embraces that she thought would make sense, she also offered the perfect balance of letting us freelance however we saw fit. Very simply put, it was the easiest, most enjoyable photoshoot we could have asked for. Naturally, wedding days can be stressful & taking photos can seem like a monotonous chore. But Jules personality & business accumen made it everything but that. She seamlessly blended into our group with professionalism, a phenomenal sense of humor, & a calming presence to guide us through the biggest day of our lives. I couldn’t possibly endorse Scarlet Roots Wedding Photography any more. Exceptional work & an even better person in Jules.

e. She was easy to work with and very responsive. We were very specific with the style of photos that we wanted and she delivered beyond our dreams. She also agreed to shoot some film as well, which are some of our favorites from the day. She made sure to capture everything on the shot list and delivered a whopping 200 sneak peeks! She delivered our full gallery in less than a month, which was unexpectedly amazing. We would recommend her to anyone.

utiful and informative website and got in touch with her in no time. From the first consultation to the delivery of our full wedding gallery (which was an amazing surprise because it came way sooner than expected), we were blown away with how kind and passionate Jules is about her work and the people she works with! She’s the ultimate hype woman, your instant bff, and the best person to have with you on the best day ever! Jules made my husband and I, two people who can be a bit awkward in front of a camera feel so comfortable, relax and just focus on each other. Our first adventure together was our engagement photo session in Beacon Hill and BPG. She knew all the great spots and really helped us have fun with it. We were even able to include our dogs in some photos! Then on the day of the wedding, the second Jules arrived in the bridal suite the energy lifted. Photos of me and my husband, family portraits, and with the wedding party never felt daunting. They were quick and easy! We spent 10 fun and effortless hours with Jules. She really felt like another friend at our wedding! She was so kind to all of our family and friends and everyone loved her too! Aside from Jules’ kindness, energy, and talent, her professionalism is top notch. We felt completely taken care of from the moment we signed Jules on to our wedding team! She even provided suggestions for other vendors, which I found extremely helpful. I put my full trust in her! She worked so well with my wedding coordinator and other vendors too. She also worked with us to make sure we had enough time with her on our day so we wouldn’t feel rushed. We are so thankful we were able to add on time from what we originally booked. Some of our favorite photos are the sunset photos while having a moment to ourselves during the reception. Jules was incredibly accommodating, kind, an expert at her craft, and just, like I said before, the best! We will be forever grateful to Jules for being a part of our big day and the journey leading up to it!

d up with someone else! I found her by looking through photos of #capecodweddingphotographer on Instagram and EVERY.SINGLE.PHOTO I clicked that I loved was Jules'! We booked her for both our engagement photos and wedding photos. For our engagement shoot, she made us both feel so comfortable right from the start (especially since neither of us have much posing experience). It honestly felt like we were just hanging with a friend. For our wedding, she made me feel totally relaxed and at ease and was just so easy to work with. Her bubbly-yet-chill presence was such a gift on such a chaotic day. Not to mention, her pictures are truly art. I'm just sad our wedding is over so we don't have a reason to hire her again!

king with her three times: engagement session, micro-wedding, and wedding reception and we will definitely be reaching out again for something! Not only is her work unmatched, but she brings an energy and vibe to the wedding day that every couple needs. She is positive, bubbly, energetic, flexible, kind, cooperative, we could go on and on. We LOVE Jules and feel blessed to have had the opportunity to work with her ❤️

ted to Jules and her bubbly energy. From our engagement photos to our wedding day, she made every step of the process so seamless and fun. She puts her heart and soul into her work, and it shows. We couldn’t have been happier with the result. You need Jules on your team!

hat more could you want on your wedding day?!) My husband and I are really not comfortable in front of the camera, but you would have no idea by looking at our wedding photos! She made us feel so comfortable from the second we started and we couldn’t be happier with how our photos turned out. We also went through many postponements (thanks, Covid) and Jules was more than accommodating. She’s an absolute dream to work with, is super organized and responsive, and it's obvious she cares deeply about her work. Jules is truly the best in the biz and you will seriously not regret hiring her.

Jules is a top notch professional who made us feel at ease and comfortable from day one. Jules’ work is unlike any other wedding photographer I’ve seen. Her photos are so natural, yet elegant, just PERFECTION! Our photos perfectly captured our personalities, love for each other and excitement for the best day of our lives. We have said over and over again, hiring Jules was the BEST decision. Jules is so fun, thoughtful and engaging. She made all of our wedding party, families and guests feel so comfortable around the camera. We feel so fortunate to have had Jules capture the most important day of our lives. I can’t wait to book Jules for future milestones!

mazing to work with. She was timely with responses and communication. She made us feel comfortable and was so patient with me in heels during our session (I swear the pandemic threw off my heel game). We absolutely love our engagement photos. I would work with her again in a heartbeat. Thank you for everything Jules!

o accommodate us and traveled to TWO different locations so we could get a photo in the exact spot that we got engaged. She is a master at her craft and a true JOY to work with. Our photos came out beautiful and we are so grateful for our wonderful experience from start to finish.

y with her responses. Jules arrived on the day with such a positive attitude and made the whole experience so much fun. She was able to make us feel so comfortable and confident from behind the camera. Our photos arrived quickly and are even better than we had hoped. Everyone we have shared our photos with is blown away by Jules’ composition, editing, and her ability to capture our love. I would absolutely recommend Jules to anyone looking for a photographer to help them capture their big day.

oing and my fiancé is very awkward with PDA! Not to mention, the communication was always prompt and smooth, the turn around timeline for receiving photos was exactly as she stated it would be, and the pricing was very fair for a photographer of her caliber. We just absolutely love how our photos turned out and we are so excited to share them with friends and family. We highly recommend working with Jules!

s and Jules was so accommodating and helpful throughout the process. She is incredibly hard-working and and responsive. Her meticulous organizational skills + timeline creation kept us on track and ensured our day ran smoothly. And of course, our photos are AMAZING. Everyone is so impressed with how beautiful her work is, and our guests absolutely -loved- hanging with her on our wedding day. We could not be happier with our decision. We are so grateful for the memories Jules perfectly captured.

us get organized for the day of by helping us put together a timeline, think of all the shots we wanted captured and establishing the overall vibe we wanted on our big day. This preparation was SO key and helped the day run as smoothly as possible. She was so responsive and flexible during all of the planning which we so appreciated. On the actual day of the wedding, she was warm, organized, helped keep us calm but also kept us moving to get all of the shots we wanted! And most importantly, the photographs all came out INCREDIBLE!!! Jules caught so many special moments between us and our guests and really captured our day in such a beautiful way. We will cherish them forever. We'd highly recommend Jules to anyone and everyone!!!

COVID reschedule. We were immediately drawn to her work and how she makes everything look so naturally stunning, but as a very camera-shy person who was super nervous about the whole idea of wedding photography, what really sealed the deal for me was Jules's warm, confident, and joyful approach to the entire process. Every interaction we had leading up (including our super fun engagement shoot) was an absolute pleasure and put my mind at ease, and during our wedding day, her endlessly bubbly presence combined with her professionalism and experience was everything we could have dreamed of. In her capable hands I completely forgot to be nervous or camera shy, and the time we got to spend taking our bride + groom portraits was one of my favorite parts of the whole day. Our finished gallery is incredible, she captured the day and "us" so authentically, I love every single photo in it and every time I look through, I am instantly brought back into those amazing memories. I am SO, so grateful to have these photos and such wonderful memories to go with them, we will treasure them forever. I am already trying to think of excuses to have photos taken in the future so we can work with Jules again!!

er work! She was kind, professional, and such a pleasure to be around! She made us feel super comfortable in front of the camera and we had an amazing time throughout the whole process! My fiance and I are so grateful to have found her to capture this special time in our lives! We cherish our photos with everything in our hearts. So if you're thinking of getting engagement photos done with Jules, don't hesitate and book! She is the best! :) <3

rsation 18 months prior to my wedding, to engagement photos, to last minute changes and planning — Jules was there as not only our photographer, but also a wedding expert! Once we got our wedding gallery (early, I might add!), we cried tears of joy seeing how Jules perfectly captured special moments that seemed to happen in the blink of an eye, but are now preserved forever. Jules documented the emotions and details perfectly. There are not enough words to describe how highly we recommend Jules!
