Based in Wall, NJ, SCE Event Group is an accomplished wedding DJ company committed to providing creative entertainment for your big day. We’re passionate, talented, and insanely creative professional entertainers. Founded in 2009 by owner Jason Jani, the company has since become a renowned name on New Jersey’s DJ scene. ok once we landed a date for our wedding. From the beginning stages of planning to the day itself, Nick was kind, attentive, and personable. Everyone is continuing to rave about how awesome the night was and the skills of Nick. His energetic personality matched ours so well and with every song transition, our dance floor didn’t stop. We even added over an hour to our wedding video cut because the footage was too great not to keep. We would recommend SCE and Nick to anyone and everyone, and have already talked about the next time we hope to have Nick party with us at an event in the future. He has an amazing ability to feed off the crowd and play what will be a hit, and he did just that. Also, the mixes/wordplays he uses are incredible. He was awesome to work with throughout the entire process, and was very responsive when we asked him to trim our first dance song and remove very specific parts and sent us back the edited version. I know for a fact that he will continue to explode more than he already has, so book him while you still can!

Also, Hailey, who was another SCE representative that worked the wedding was also unbelievable. She took it upon herself to tie my wife’s shoes when she noticed they were untied and had twisted teas waiting for me my wife when she noticed we were done so we didn’t have to wait at the bar. A touch that was truly appreciated!

hey did not push any extra services and simply listened to what we wanted for our special day. Their communication and online planning tools are simple and they have great availability for any questions. They made us feel comfortable and gave us such peace of mind and stability that the biggest day of our lives was going to be just perfect-and that it was.
Now for the good part, our wedding was a 20/10. We had almost 300 people and we would look around and there wasn't a person sitting for the majority of the night. Jason OWNED it. I told him at one point that I felt like our souls are connected with the songs he was choosing. Our guests were raving about the music and the energy, people were saying they truly we're not ready for the party to end. He fit in so seamlessly and effortlessly with all that was happening, from the announcements to the speeches to the dances, to the mixing. We requested that we didn't want too much talking and he listened and did just enough and came on the mic at the most perfect times. Bear Brook was ROCKING. He played a requested tribute song at the perfect moment. It all felt personal. He was worth every penny and I would choose SCE events and Jason over again and again.

We had multiple zoom meetings with him so the wedding, he knew what music we liked, loved, didn’t like, you name it. He made us a custom playlist and we reviewed every aspect of our ceremony and itinerary. And let me just say, he CRUSHED IT! The dance floor was packed from start to finish with old and young guests alike. People are still raving about our “10 out of 10 DJ” who had backup power sources, and even matched his outfit to our color scheme. We could not be happier with Chris and SCE. A special shout out to our SCE steel drum player who played our cocktail hour, what a fun addition! Super talented. And how can I forget the Photo Booth— if you’re on the fence, just add it! Paul Knox knew exactly what we were looking for and brought it to life for us. We shared with him a Spotify inspo list, he was flexible and willing to meet with us as many times as needed for us to feel comfortable, understanding with our decision making process of add-ons, etc. We had our guests begging us to throw an anniversary party for the great time that they had! (& we'd be tempted if weddings weren't so expensive 😂)
My only 2 qualms - which I want to be clear, didn't sour things in the grand scheme - Paul's assistant DJ played "Celebration" (we had requested on the 'do not play' list) and messed up our entrance song. Again, these were things only my husband and I would notice, none of our guests cared, and it did not damper the day at all.
They DID make sure to play some old school jams we specifically requested (Britney, Jonas Brothers, Backstreet), and were gentle and firm with our guests about our "no music requests" policy!! Which we really appreciated. There's no other DJ I would have even considered other than Paul Knox at SCE! So much fun to work with, and did an amazing job.

On the day of our wedding he showed up over two hours early to perform microphone/speaker checks and to ensure that all of his additional equipment would work properly. Our ceremony went swimmingly, and Kevin was excellent with his timing for all of the music we selected. After the ceremony we had an outdoor Cocktail Hour, where Kevin played a classy selection of music for our guests. Finally comes our reception. We made it clear from the beginning that we want to have the dance floor packed at all times during our reception, without a single dull moment, as both the bride and groom love to dance! We wanted this to be the main focus for our reception, and DJ Hi Kevin sure did deliver for us! Throughout the entirety of the two hours he was DJing for us, the dance floor was PACKED! He really knocked the performance out of the park! Over the past few weeks many of our guests have been saying things to us like "I've never been to a wedding with more people dancing than yours" and "Your DJ was so awesome, I had so much fun dancing with everyone".
DJ Hi Kevin is really good at mixing songs and reading the dance floor during a DJing set. I would say he let each song play for about an average of 60-90 seconds, which is ideal for dance parties in my humble opinion. Not many people want to listen to the same song for more than a few minutes while they are dancing, and Kevin did an excellent job of gauging our crowd to determine what kinds of music they wanted to dance to.
If you are looking for a fun-loving, young DJ that can keep the dance floor packed and jumping, DJ HiKevin is your guy! I can't recommend him enough, as he made our wedding special. It went exactly how we hoped it would, and we can't thank him enough for it!

Communication was spot on, as we got closer we had creative sessions - DJ O provided great recommendations and ideas for entrance/first dance/parent songs, we went through the different music sets, must plays, do not plays etc etc... He had our reception activities planned/timed to a T but was also able to pivot when we had to move things around. Literally the most organized man I have met in my life. His assistant for the night Mo was also awesome and they were honestly just a blast to party with! If we were to do this process over again, we would no doubt choose DJ O! Party of a lifetime!!!

ven eat our wedding cake because we were having too much fun! He was playing hit after hit and seamlessly transitioning between songs. He is a true DJ and knows how to mix music, not just put on a playlist. This was amazing because we could listen to the best parts of all the songs without needed to listen all the way through. At the same time, he wasn’t switching the music constantly to the point where you couldn’t enjoy a song. He also did an amazing job with all of the logistics of ceremony music, speeches, and logistics of the wedding.
SCE also has such a seamless process of scheduling with a DJ, booking meetings, and including add-ons. The intelligent lighting was so amazing - our uplights were changing colors to the beats of the songs and then we had two big moving colorful lights. The lights really added to the fun and made it feel like a PARTY. We had multiple guests tell us it was the best dance party they’ve been to at a wedding! We had the time of our lives on the dance floor and Christian was a big part of that!
