Schedel Arboretum & Gardens

I had never planned a wedding before (my mom planned mine) and it was up to me to prepare our son and daughter-in-law's wedding celebration. The Schedel Arboretum and Gardens in Elmore, OH turned out to be the perfect venue. The events coordinator for the gardens, Veronica Sheets, was so very helpful, making suggestions, offering advice, providing contact information for potential vendors. Schedel Gardens is the subject of many online photos capturing the four seasons of beauty. Since the bride and groom live on the west coast, their first visit to the gardens was the day before their wedding! We had tentatively selected a spot for their wedding ceremony, but they were given a tour of the garden before their rehearsal to make sure that spot would still be their first choice. We were a bit nervous about an outdoor wedding in early May, but were blessed with a perfect day. Thanks to Veronica and her staff, everything went as planned. They were always a few steps ahead of us, looking to where their assistance might be needed. The fact that our guests told us what a great time they had proves that. Most important, the bride and groom enjoyed their evening in the spotlight. I'm very grateful to all the help I received from the folks at Schedel Arboretum and Gardens. This was the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding!!!! Everything went beautifully. Veronica was amazing and great to work with! Definitely recommend for and outdoor wedding ceremony. Also a great place for pictures!!!! We took so many and it was beautiful. Best day of my life!!!!

This place is absolutely beautiful for a wedding & reception ....Veronica is wonderful to work with ....Although my wedding isn't until 7-9-16 I knew from the first visit this was the perfect place .....I'm one happy bride to be !!!

The rules for Schedel left little to be desired. There were too many, and it scared the people in my bridal party and my photographer. They were ridiculously strict. The place itself was beautiful, and the director did a wonderful job in setting up the trellis (she did the decorations for us!!!) and the ceremony site itself. If not for those strict guidelines, I wouldn't have been as put off. Otherwise, we had an amazing wedding and I wouldn't have changed a thing about where the ceremony was located.

The venue is a little expensive, but we loved our ceremony and reception there. It was so beautiful and we got some great pictures in the gardens. The service was great, but be prepared to rent a tent, bring your own cater, and know that the bar is not included in the price of the venue.
