We held our rehearsal dinner in the upstairs event space of Schmidt’s. This was one of the coolest venues of our entire wedding weekend! There is a private bar, along with a large ...
dining room which could have accommodated up to 120 people (we had about 50). The food was amazing as usual, with a lot of choice for the buffet (we had salad, three entrees, all the traditional sides, rolls, and mini cream puffs!). We would even accommodate two guests who don’t eat pork (which you’d think would be hard with German food!) We had the space to ourselves and it was perfect for visiting with the wedding party as everyone arrived for the weekend. The staff were all so friendly. We worked with Matt, who was super responsive and helpful (even when we had to postpone our date a year due to COVID). It was such a lovely evening, and we would highly recommend for both food and events!
We used Schmidt's for our rehearsal dinner and would highly recommend. We had about 30 people. The service was amazing and the food was just as expected. We asked if we could come ...
early to set up decorations and they fully accommodated us. They supplied us with an easel to set up a sign for free. Pricing was very fair and they were open with the costs of food and alcohol. We were more than happy using Schmidt's for our rehearsal dinner.
We had our rehearsal dinner in the upper level banquet hall and it was phenomenal. We love Schmidt's and we wanted to give our (mostly out-of-towner) guests a quintessential piece ...
of Columbus - and they were not disappointed. Plus the upper level is so nice and private compared to the downstairs area!

We had our rehearsal dinner at Schmidt’s! It was completely stress free, the owners were so organized and guided us through their meal options. We rented out the upstairs, which is...
decorated like a little German Street. Everyone loved the atmosphere and it was a fun and convenient place to have the dinner. There is a chair lift available as well, which we appreciated for our grandparents. The food was incredible (no surprise) and the servers were very helpful and kind. Absolutely recommend!!!

wedding serving the guest did a fantastic job. They went the extra mile by serving champagne to all our guests before the toast. They also even went the extra mile by bringing up the desert to the second floor of venue at a different time than when the food was served. The staff was super friendly carried great conversations with all the guest answered all their questions they had and always it with a smile. Thank you Schmidt’s!

ul and the food was amazing (as always). We had several out of town guests and we loved being able to share such a unique Columbus restaurant with them. Although they only have a small parking lot our group of 50 had no problem finding close spots to park. I would highly recommend booking Schmidts' party room!

d by Pat "No Problem". The weekend of our wedding arrived and the forecast for rain was high for our Park Ceremony. I reached out to Pat about adjusting our wedding time to a bit earlier and she worked with us. And of course the answer was"'No Problem". We were lucky and the weather held out for us and we were able to use the park.
Our guests still talk about the food. I was back in the area less then a month after the wedding and had to go to Schmidt's.
My Husband and I had our Rehearsal Dinner at Scmidt's on October 12,2012. We are very happy with the service and quality we received! The prices were great and everyone loved the f...
ood of course! The only downfall was that our tables were set up in rows so it was hard to mingle and the room was a little small but we did have our own personal bar right outside our banquet room and that was awesome! Great choice for a relaxed easy going rehearsal dinner!
Delicious food for our rehearsal dinner! Was a perfect site for the gathering of our close family and bridal party which was around 40 people! And the cream puffs are to die for!
