They go above and beyond as a team and provided an extra set of ears and eyes, working with our coordinator and other vendors to ensure the day progressed smoothly and everyone was on the same page about each event and location. From the moment Alex walked in for our getting ready photos I immediately felt at ease. He was very quick, but also incredibly comfortable and knew exactly what to say. I also have to mention he went ABOVE AND BEYOND by saving the day. He had scissors on hand for all of the bridesmaids that needed them (a special shout out because he had to keep pulling them out for each girl… sorry Alex). My sisters strap on her dress broke and Alex hand sowed it back on. Like COME ON. Above and beyond doesn’t even describe it. During the ceremony and reception I barely noticed him and his assistant Michelle which is a true talent. They were able to capture the perfect moments without being remotely intrusive. Unfortunately like many couples, our day had to be postponed due to Covid and the ongoing pandemic. Having to reschedule our original wedding date in August was not only stressful, but completely overwhelming. All the back and forth between all our vendors made me worried not it just wasn’t going to work out for us to be married on our new date. With Alex, the whole rescheduling process was smooth and straightforward. He did everything in his power to make any potential new date we had work within his existing schedule with his other couples, we never had to worry that Alex would be available for any potential new date we picked. He was determined to make it work, on top of everything he even offered any assistance he could provide with all our other vendors. I could go on and on about all the wonderful aspects about our experience, but I truly believe his amazing work and personality speaks for itself. Hiring Alex was the best wedding vendor decision we could have made, and given the opportunity to do it over again, he would forever be our top choice.

While every wedding should go to plan, if something changes on the fly, Alex is more than capable of adapting and finding solutions to make things work. any. Like many others looking to plan a wedding in 2020, my initial wedding was planned for July 2020, and was cancelled due to COVID. Having lost thousands of dollars in deposits and fees for cancellation of the wedding, but eager to marry my fiance, we planned a microwedding for December 19, and engaged Alex in mid-October for the services on December 19. We had two phone calls that totaled less than 1.5 hours between that day and the day when we were forced to cancel our wedding due to additional restrictions being put in place in Pennsylvania. In any event, we had paid Alex a total consideration of $2,800 prior to our cancellation, and after we were forced to cancel a second wedding, my fiance and I decided not to move forward with planning another wedding. We reached out to all our vendors, including Alex, and asked whether they would consider returning any portion of the payments we made, above and beyond the deposits to hold the date, given the extenuating circumstances and the PA ban on all indoor, multi-family gatherings and since we would not be planning another event. I am happy to report that there are many vendors who, notwithstanding that they were not required by the terms of their contracts to return any portion of the fees paid, were extremely flexible in returning portions of our investments. In contrast to every other vendor, Alex did not reply to my email for five weeks. When he did reply, he offered to transfer his services to another date, but I explained to him that we would not be moving forward with another wedding after two cancellations and losing thousands of dollars in the process. Alex then refused to refund any portion of the $2,800 paid to him. Given Alex’s unresponsive and unprofessional conduct, I told him I was not going to be able to recommend him in the future, and only then did he offer to refund 35% of the fees I paid in exchange for me signing a nondisclosure agreement and nondisparagement agreement, which he had VERY handy. I wish I had known I was dealing with someone like Alex before I entered into a contractual relationship with him. He came across as friendly and engaging, but as soon as circumstances changed, he was unprofessional, unresponsive, and in my opinion, unreasonable in keeping thousands of dollars. Plus, I find it hard to trust anyone like Alex who replies to a genuine request with an NDA and gag order. It makes me wonder how many other people have been silenced by his practices, particularly during COVID.

through so many vendors, all with decent to excellent ratings, to find the one that’s best for you? I was feeling the same way, until I stumbled across Alex’s Instagram account. I instantly fell in love with the way he focused on the little moments – the ones that aren’t staged. You know that simple quick look two people give each other that can somehow manage to say “I love you” with their eyes? Alex was able to capture that along with real smiles, laughter, and the essence of pure love between couples. I reached out to Alex and we set up time for us to have a Facetime call. On this call, Alex asked us questions about our vision, what’s important to us on our wedding day, etc. so he could get to know us & what we’re looking for. He showed us gorgeous wedding albums he had made for couples and let us know about his packages, pricing, and custom packages that could be made according to what we were looking for. It was on this call that I learned Alex only agrees to work with a certain number of couples per year (I believe it’s 10-12) and that’s when I began to realize he’s a much more invested photographer than most. The process from our first conversation through our wedding day and getting the pictures back was an absolute breeze and so much fun. Whenever I felt stuck in the planning process, I could reach out to Alex and he would give his opinion for what would work best or recommendations for vendors we still needed, etc. At our engagement session, my husband & I were a little overwhelmed being in front of a camera and being the center of attention, but Alex handled it like a true pro and was able to get us to relax and have fun, and in doing so was able to capture those beautiful, genuine moments and looks I mentioned. He even reminded me to take my hair tie off my wrist (what a guy!) and held it until the end of the shoot. About 3-4 weeks out from the wedding (which was the end of January), I realized we would have some light after the ceremony and that we could take pictures outside, which wasn’t what I was originally planned. I almost panicked because I had no idea where we could take pictures in the middle of winter that wouldn’t look ridiculous without being covered in snow, but I knew Alex would be able to help me. We jumped on a phone call and discussed some options Alex felt would be perfect for us and he followed up with an email of the options he gave (in order of his personal recommendation) along with links for each place, permit requirements, and how to obtain them. On the day of the wedding, Alex showed up, with an awesome second shooter, and got right to work while keeping everything fun and exciting. I forgot something I was originally planning to wear & in looking for it, made us run a few minutes late to the ceremony, but Alex kept me calm and reassured me everything would be okay. During portraits, Alex fixed my dress, veil, cape, etc. a bunch of times to make sure everything was perfect for pictures. We got our wedding pictures back faster than we expected and they were absolutely gorgeous. When you book Alex, you’re truly getting more than just a photographer. You get someone who becomes truly invested into you as a couple, who goes way above & beyond in every aspect, someone you can trust, and someone who will become a friend.

He was even sweet enough to make sure we had a few of the family photos in our preview before Christmas so we could use them in Christmas gifts! I can't say enough amazing things about Alex! He takes the classic portraits that are necessary, but he really focuses on the natural environment of the day. He catches the small moments that you want to remember in a completely candid way. If you hire Alex please be prepared because he will become full invested in the details of your wedding. Alex helped me choose my engagement photo outfit. Alex gave my husband advice on shoes and bowties. Alex coordinated with all of my other vendors and sent around a day-of itinerary. Alex was personally invested in making sure we had nice locations to take photographs between the ceremony and reception. He was, without a doubt, our favorite vendor and he sent us 800-1000 stunning photographs that memorialized the best day of our lives. Book him you will not regret it.

He went the extra step every time to find beautiful places to take pictures, make us feel comfortable, and ensure that the shots were perfect.
