Thank you so much for making our wedding day so beautiful! Chet is amazing to work with. He took the time to review the details of the entire day with us, and as we talked about the type of arrangements we were looking for, he got up to pull together a sample on the fly. That’s when we knew that everything was going to look absolutely perfect! He showed up with our bouquets the morning of the wedding, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. As I walked down the aisle in the church, in the midst of everything I noticed how lovely the altar pieces were, and the flowers at the reception looked stunning! We had our wedding on Halloween, and Chet painted clay pumpkins ivory for our centerpieces – there were none left over at the end of the night because everyone took one! Our wedding flowers were even more gorgeous than I had imagined, and we owe that to Chet and Schweinfurth!

Driving to midland park, NJ for the first time to meet my potential wedding florist, I almost passed by this gem of a vendor. Man, would that have been a mistake! There are very few men who know flowers the way Chet knows his flowers. In addition to his dry sense of humor which made for hugely entertaining meetings, this man is a genius with flowers. He knew exactly how to transform my nebulous, indecisive ideas of how I wanted my special day to look into a reality that was better than I could have dreamed. At our very first consultation he threw together a bouquet that was stunning, and then modified it to make it exactly what I wanted. The day of our wedding, the final product was so drop dead gorgeous that my guests and I couldn't stop talking about how amazing everything looked. Just do yourself a favor and trust in Chet - he will not disappoint !!

My husband and I got married on June 6, 2015 at the Ramsey Country Club and we used Schweinfurth Florist. Upon our first meeting with Chet, we knew we were in great hands. He is extremely knowledgeable and while I may have had some ideas on what I wanted, he transformed them into arrangements that I could not have dreamed up myself. Our first and second meetings were just collaborating together, as I knew the colors I wanted to use and types of centerpieces, but don't know a ton about flowers. He used his expertise of color and flowers to steer me in the right direction. He was able to take my notes and asked me different questions to pick out certain flowers to find the perfect shades of blush pink to make my ideas come to life. A couple months before the big day, he made up sample centerpieces for us to look at. He was able to even get the price down by reworking some of the flowers to stay within our budget. He also made sure that the week of the wedding, the typical arrangement he delivers to the club was done in our wedding colors to match the day. Chet made everything so easy on our wedding day! He hand delivered the bridal party bouquets to my hotel and then brought everything else to our church. Once our ceremony was over, he brought the large arrangements and pew decorations to Ramsey, along with our centerpieces. Chet and his team brought color and life into our ballroom against our black, white, gold color scheme. I could not have asked for anything better. Chet is so talented and I would recommend this florist for any occasion especially for your wedding day!

I am so happy with our decision to use Schweinfurth as our wedding florist. From the very beginning, Chet was a pleasure to work with. He is friendly, professional, patient, and above all else, knowledgable. For our October wedding, I told him about the fall colors that I envisioned, and not knowing much myself about flowers, let him run with it. The arrangements that he came up with were absolutely perfect, and exactly what I wanted. He even painted ceramic pumpkins for the containers, and I can't tell you how many compliments we got on all of the flower arrangements at the wedding. I highly, highly recommend Schweinfurth! When I need flowers again in the future, I will go back to them for sure.

Chet at Schweinfurth Florist has been providing lovely floral arrangements for my office for many years. It was clear from our first planning visit with Chet that he has an unrivaled eye for floral design. After hearing what our color palette was, he spent the next hour really teasing out what we wanted and helping us to come to the right decisions for us, rather than forcing them on us. At the second visit he created an off-the-cuff mock-up of my bridal bouquet and a centerpiece. They were absolutely beautiful; he added two flowers I had not even considered and were just perfect in the bouquet. On top of everything, the prices were very reasonable so the decision was a no-brainer. We were very happy with all of the floral arrangements they created for us.

I am pretty clueless when it come to flowers, especially names and what's in season when, etc. However I did have a vision for my wedding flowers, and Chet at Schweinfurth's absolutely captured it. All I had to do was show him a few pictures of things I liked and he completely got it. It also helped that they had worked with our venues before and new what to recommend for the space. Chet will work with you (and your budget) to create something beautiful.

Chet did an amazing job of tying my ideas together to what was in season and would math our color scheme. He had great ideas and was very helpful and accommodating to work with.

Chet was amazing to work with. I met with him 3 times, each time having a bit of a different vision. He was extremely patient with me and helped make the picture in my head come alive and it was even better than what I was expecting. The day of the wedding, our bouquets were delivered on time to my parents' house and the rest of the flowers were brought to venue to be set up and beautifully arranged. I received so many compliments on the flowers!

my first meeting was a little uncomfortable because i didn't really know my colors or what i wanted and i felt pressure to pick something. but once i figured it out, Chet really helped me realize my vission and the end result was perfect!

Florist is beyond compare. Has excellent taste, puts together gorgeous bouquets - works with budgets and styles without difficulty or complaint. Always pleasant and easily accessible. Flexible with last minute changes. Can be a bit particular but that is only so he creates the best product possible. Would not go with anyone else for flowers after working with this vendor!

I got my flowers for my wedding from Schweinfurth and was so happy with the results. I had to plan my wedding from Chicago and had to tell Chet over the phone/email what I wanted. He listened to me so well and put together exactly what I wanted and it was even more beautiful than I could have imagined! The flowers were excellent quality and the colors were so perfect. We got so many compliments on the flowers. Everything was put together so well, this florist is very talented. The flowers were delivered on time as promised. I would tell any bride to only go here!

The flowers that Chet and his staff at Schweinfurth Florist created for our wedding completely surpassed our expectations. The vibrant colors mixed with the textures of the flowers and greenery in our centerpieces and bouquets were stunning and we were very happy with the way everything looked. We chose to work with Schweinfurth florist, because my family has been going there for many years and they have done many weddings for family and friends. Working with them was a wonderful experience. Chet really took my color pallet and ran with it. Upon seeing my table sample, I was blown away. The flowers that were chosen were perfect in every sense of the word. On the day of the wedding itself, when the bouquets were delivered to my home, they instantly brought me to tears. They were so vibrant and full. Throughout our day, we continually got compliments from our family and friends about the flowers. Chet Schweinfurth created beautiful bouquets and urns full of colorful eclectic flowers and greenery for our wedding on a lake in Northern New Jersey. He was able to make this happen even though I was living hours away through the planning process. From the start, Chet was sensitive to my design perspective (I am a designer by day and studied design, color, etc. in school) and to my hope to please people involved in our wedding. He immediately caught on to my vision and shared spot-on samples in our initial meeting to prove he knew what we were talking about. Together, we discussed the details of each bouquet and centerpiece methodically. Chet sat with us patiently and answered my calls and emails promptly. He also shared his past experiences and expertise as examples for us to compare to; he has many photos in his shop. The one thing I wish I was up on early on in the wedding planning is the containers for the centerpieces. I would suggest to a new bride looking for something months before so you can share ideas with Chet. Schweinfurth does have other options available, quite a few actually, but Chet was so kind to discuss why they wouldn't work for our venue and ended up finding something that worked quite well for our event. Many of our guests mentioned how they LOVED the flowers at our wedding and this makes me happy. I believe Chet has a great eye and is a super-choice for your wedding. I will recommend him to all my girlfriends and recommend him to you, too!

My experience with Schweinfurth Florist was wonderful! At first I was aprehensive about using a florist in NJ, since our reception was in NY... Flowers were very important to me and I wanted a specific look. I was afraid that the style and design would not be as good as a florist in Manhattan, but boy was I wrong! Chet worked closely with us and had the patience of a saint. He was dedicated to do exactly what I wanted, and truly delivered what he promised. I could not have asked for more. Our flowers were absoluetly BEAUTIFUL... lush, vibrant, classic, sophisticated, perfect! I will definitely use them again for other functions and I would highly recommend their services for any kind of wedding... I was promised the arrangements that I wanted and I was not disappointed a bit. Schweinfurth exceeded my expectations!

My husband and I were married at Mount Carmel, in Ridgewood on June 25, 2010. Our reception was at the Ramsey Country Club. Schweinfurth Florist was not only the florist recommended by Ramey, but also the name recommended to us by many of our friends. It was lovely working with Chet. When I went for our first meeting, my thoughts about what I wanted were all over the board! Chet was incredibly patient as he showed me various options. He was so careful to make sure that our end result fit exactly what I wanted. On the day of our wedding, Chet set everything up for us at the church and the reception. He also transported the flowers from the church to the Ramsey Country Club after the ceremony. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. I suggest that every bride consider doing this. It made for one less thing to worry about on the day of. Thanks to Schweinfurth, we had the most beautiful flowers I could have hoped for. Flowers truly make everything come together. I chose my linens and cake based on the look I went for with the flowers. The whole ballroom looked incredible because everything complimented each other. As you can imagine, on a perfect June day, surrounded by pink, green, and ivory arrangements, our photographs were outstanding. I kept telling Chet that I wanted the flowers to “pop” in our photographs, and that is exactly what they did! I dried out one of our centerpieces from the reception. It sits on our dining room table and reminds us everyday of that memorable day in June. I recommend Schweinfuth’s Florist to every bride in our area. You cannot go wrong. The flowers were even more gorgeous than I had imagined and Chet was absolutely phenomenal.

It's hard to even begin explaining how perfect the floral arrangements were and how professional Chet Douglass is! The arrangements, bouquets, and exquisite creations by Chet and his team floored all of our guests. I came to Chet with a broad idea of a "fall inspired wedding", and upon meeting for the second time, he had put together gorgeous samples of how everything would look for the wedding- so elegant! I live down in Pennsylvania, so coordinating times to meet was a challenge, but Chet was more than accomodating in making sure that I was taken care of as well as his other clients. I married an Engineer, who invited many of his coworkers to the wedding. It was incredible to hear older men raving about the floral arrangements all the way from the receiving line at the Church to the Country Club. My husband and I still get compliments on how beautiful the arrangements were for the wedding, and it's nearly two months later! Chet not only listens to your ideas, but his creativity helps develop broad concepts to bring together magnificent creations. It did not feel as if we were talking to just another vendor, but a friend that was determined to make everything perfect on our wedding day. Such a warm-hearted man! He definitely enjoys and has fun with the work that he does. I definitely recommend Chet and Schweinfurth Florist for your wedding, as I am positive you will have an incredible outcome and wonderful experience as I have had. I only wish I could throw a big party every year and put together more creations with him!

When I met with Chet to choose my flowers for my wedding, he was organized, helpful, and creative. He was able to take the colors I wanted with the flowers he knew would work to create beautiful arrangements, all within my price range. The flowers were delivered early in the day so I was not stressed at all the day of my wedding. People are still telling me how beautiful the flowers were three months later. I was married at the Ramsey Country Club, in Ramsey, NJ on May 30, 2010, and it was my venue who referred us to Chet at Schweinfurth Florist. I can say without any hesitation my flowers were positively STUNNING...they were everything I asked for and more. Chet was a dream to work with and understood at our first meeting the vision I had for my outdoor garden wedding. Having vacationed on Nantucket as a child in the summer I knew EXACTLY what I wanted my flowers to be; Blue /green Hydrangea, Pink Peony and white roses. I purchased Nantucket lightship baskets for my centerpieces, pew decor, and hanging baskets, and Chet did his magic...they were magnificent...people are still talking about my flowers. The entire bridal party; bridesmaids, Jr. Bridesmaids and my bouquets were breathtaking as well. I wanted my flowers to make a statement, and Chet saw to it my Nantucket theme was represented with flawless detail. Chet was also the artist who decorated my wedding cake with fresh blue hydrangea, and it was nothing short of exquisite. My caterer told me my cake was photographed by my guests almost as much as my husband and I were. Chet was professional, responsive, and easy to work with, as was his entire staff. He has impeccable taste; attention to detail and artistic talent that made my Nantucket vision a reality on the most important day of my life. I only wish I could post some pictures here to go along with my review to show you how truly beautiful my flowers were but you can see them at shop I sent some along to Chet. Overall, I was happy with my flowers. BUT, they were not worth putting up with a "diva", that is supposed to be working FOR you. Chet may be the rudest vendor I have ever met. He was extremely condescending throughout. If we weren't already halfway through the process, we would have switched vendors. He even "talked about me" to one of my other (amazing) vendors because I was 25 minutes late to the venue. The final product was not worth all the aggravation. He should be ashamed of his behavior.
