DJ Rey also knew exactly when to play each song, making sure all of our guests from different generations were up and dancing. He also created an amazing environment with the uplighting and dance lights he provided (it was absolutely worth adding on).

and very quickly. We also found their pricing to be excellent, and even came with extra perks like the photo booth and lighting.
I was pretty specific in the "look" I wanted for my reception, and Rey picked up on it right away. He sent me photos and descriptions of exactly what I was to expect with his equipment and different options to be able to fit in with my decor. Highly recommend his all white set up, its very sleek and pretty but could go with any decor easily.
In addition, the music was awesome! We had a spotify playlist with several songs and he literally played all the songs we wanted and even added his own selections based off the style/genre we were going for in our playlist. I honestly didn't know what to expect with my guests, would people dance or just sit around? Well they danced the-whole-time thanks to the DJ! We had so many guests come up to us and really loved the music and told us just how much fun they had and we can only attribute that to Rey.
We can't recommend Rey and SCJ Events enough and I know anyone that uses their services will not be disappointed!! Thank you Rey for making our wedding soo much fun and an event to remember!!!

ght through all of it. From the first conversation, throughout various postponements, and finally having a date, Rey was courteous, understanding, and incredibly accommodating. He helped reduce the mental fatigue of planning out the night of entertainment, with all the right recommendations, at the right time (Can't stress enough how important this is). SCJ Events provided the music and photo booth services for the night, and both were fantastic. All songs, from quirky requests to universal favorites were available, and his ability to curate the right atmosphere and playlist kept the party alive the entire night. We still receive plenty of compliments months after the wedding about how fun the evening was, how great the music and photo booth were, and how neither the dance floor nor the booth are were ever empty once after dinner. He added customized services that we asked him for (including gobo with custom logo, custom photo booth wall, up lights, percussionist) and he took care to go through every detail with us to make sure everything was to our liking and that everything worked out according to our vision. He was referred to us by two friends who also used them for their weddings and who also loved him. The day of the wedding DJ Rey was perfect - he was there on time - setup the Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception to perfection. contracted his services so I knew the music was going to be awesome. Each wedding had very different crowds (age ranges, ethnicity, style, etc...) and he was able to adjust the music type to ensure everyone was dancing at all times. I basically told DJ Rey the type of people who were going, and the kind of music/ vibe we wanted, and he ran with it. We did not provide any list of music selections to stick to (only a couple restrictions like no "Cha Cha Slide"..lol). We put complete trust in this DJ to come up with great music selections, and he did not disappoint.
For my wedding, we also added on a photo booth option. It was worth every single penny. The guests had such a great time with all of the props they provided, and the style of the photo booth. There was also an attendant at the photo booth at all times to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Great experience overall and would definitely contact again for other events.

derstand that things happen, but the day of the wedding we were confused and surprised to see a dj that we had never met before. That's an unsettling feeling. Like I said things happen... but we never got a phone call or email from dj Rey with an apology, explanation, or any follow up as to how things went at are wedding. During the ceremony, right as I (the bride) was going to walk down the isle the power shut off and we had the dj yell across the ceremony to the wedding coordinator "we lost power". Not sure who's fault or if that was just a freak accident that couldn't have been avoided. The part that got me and my husband... the dj is supposed to get the crowd going and liven up the party... take control! While the wedding party and my husband and I were being introduced... everyone was practically sitting down in their seats. ears ago and at my sister's wedding 2 years ago. My wife and I knew that we had to book Ray and no one else for our once in a lifetime wedding.
I contacted Ray in February of 2016 and told him I was planning my wedding in 6 months and he told me without hesitation "I'll be there". My wife and I had landed the best DJ in Miami; someone I'm now proud to call a friend of the family.
All I handed Ray was a few of the key songs and I told him to take creative freedom with the rest. Ray did not disappoint. Who says Sunday weddings are slow? School and work the next day were of no importance - everyone was on the dance floor until the end of the night.
Ray, thank you once again for doing what you do. You'll always have a seat at our table for a Palacios Family event.

On our wedding day, his set up was perfect and our entire ceremony and reception went perfectly. He was even able to get a rather tricky first dance song for us and about halfway through dinner my fiancé decided it was time to party and from that point on, the dance floor was for- SERIOUSLY LIKE 3-4 HOURS OF STRAIGHT DANCING AND FUN!
