ur initial photographer was no longer able to attend the ceremony about one week before the event, my mother reached out to Scott - he was super responsive, understanding of our situation, and got onboard with our family immediately! Not only do the photos speak volumes about his natural talent for capturing special moments, creative shot ideas, and beautiful editing techniques, but Scott was also so flexible, patient, and willing to work with us for fun spur-of-the-moment photoshoot ideas. After spending hours with our families on our special day, Scott still found time later that evening to send us some teaser shots as a part of our photo album. STOP what you are doing RIGHT NOW and BOOK Scott Henry. Let me share our story with you to showcase the kind of mastery this man has with photography. My fiancé and I had a trip booked to Tennessee, and with our wedding a year away, he promised me that I could choose where and how we did our engagement photos. Fine. If I couldn't win him over with the idea of having a destination wedding in Hawaii then I'll conjure up my heart's greatest fairtytale for these photos. A waterfall in the mountains. It wasn't long before I found Scott Henry Photography and fell in love with his work. He was so prompt to answer my questions and I can't explain enough how much I appreciated that. I shared my vision for the shoot and he shared his TN travel expertise on where to shoot at. He chose Meig's Falls and Cade's Cove. OMG. The legit PERFECT combination for my vision. I shared my Pinterest board with him and told him we were down for an adventure to get wet in the waterfall. When we arrived, my fiance and I actually passed the geolocation twice because we couldn't see the actual waterfall. I started to cry thinking we missed it, and without reception in the Smokey Mountains, I thought the opportunity was over. Little did we know, we were about to have one of the greatest moments we ever shared together to date. We passed by the location again and saw Scott. I jumped out apologizing that we couldn't find it and he laughed and pointed deep into the trees. I could barely see it from the road, but there it was. Hidden across a flowing stream and framed by the most beautiful colors of the fall season. Scott asked us if we wanted to still do the waterfall, making sure we were comfortable with the risks. I tied the bottom of my dress in a knot, we took off our boots, and Scott lead and helped us along the stream like a navigator. I never thought our photographer would partake in the adventure, but that's the kind of artist Scott is. We laughed our way across the stream and made it to the most beautiful secluded waterfall. He used natural cues to help us be authentic in front of the camera, and my fiancé and I had a blast. After shooting at Meig's Falls, we dried off with towels from our truck and drove to Cade's Cove where we ran around in the tall grass. The loop got backed up with traffic and as night fell upon us, Scott pulled off to one last stop at the end and had us turn our truck headlights on as he shot some last intimate shots. Late that evening he sent us a few teasers from the day and I was BLOWN AWAY. I just received our whole portfolio of photos. The photos are seriously a masterpiece. It's the best money we've ever spent, and the memories made are unforgettable. Scott Henry is a master of photography, he knows how to catch the perfect moments and his editing really brings out the beautiful shots. We also opted to do a highlight reel video of our wedding day, so we had lots of video coverage of the day as well. Before the end of the night, he gave us some polaroid samples of a handful of the photos he took. we were willing to spend money on quality photos because that is what lasts from your wedding day. We wanted someone who would really be able to capture the memories. Scott did that and more. One of the qualities that drew us to Scott and his work was his ability to capture candid moments. That spoke volumes to us and really came through in our finished wedding album. When looking back at our photos, we feel like we are instantly back in those moments. As a bonus, Scott is also a nature photographer and was able to get stars in some of the pictures. Another thing we love about his editing style is that he doesn’t distort the colors. Today’s style is to have moody photos and in my opinion that just ruins the pictures and doesn’t help you capture the day as it was. Scott takes incredible shots and then enhances them, not distorting their true colors. Also, his editing skills are killer. He can edit out unwanted things seamlessly. Another added bonus, Scott was so easy to work with as well. We were both so awkward in front of the camera but Scott made our engagement session so fun and enjoyable. On our wedding day we barely noticed him there in the background getting all the perfect shots. We highly recommend Scott and look forward to using him in the future.

. He personality is so inviting and friendly. Scott really has a natural talent for capturing special moments in a picture. Turnaround time is super fast! One special touch Scott added was the night of our wedding before my husband and I left, Scott handed me 10 polaroids of highlight pics he had taken throughout the day. The best little special touch ever! I was able to take these on our honeymoon and share them with everyone we met! Thank you again Scott for making our day so very special!

He was very patient and calm throughout the whole day which as a bride on her big day was so relaxing! Scott sent me a checklist of photos that I was able to select from as well as add too. His checklist provided everything I had in mind. When we mentioned we wanted off site photos, with no hesitation Scott said that he could drive around and scout some good places out for us. We were able to meet Scott on our day of rehearsal and give him a quick run down of what our wedding day would consist of and Scott provided great ideas and locations for select photos.
