en looking at the venues we were initially considering for our reception, I found myself admiring many of Scott’s photos at them (e.g., Union Club, Tudor Arms, Ballroom at Park Lane, etc.). Being passionate about art history and old architecture, I fell in love with Scott’s wedding pictures as he so eloquently captured the emotions of the wedding day while highlighting the beauty of these old buildings in Cleveland. The photos are sheer artwork! When I visited the venues, each place had him listed as a recommended photographer. One of the wedding coordinators indicated Scott was their favorite photographer as he was easy to work with, kept all members of the bridal party comfortable, and produced a calm atmosphere. After reading many of his blog posts, admiring photos on his blog and Instagram posts, speaking with someone who previously hired him, and having many conversations with him, we chose Scott as our wedding photographer. Scott is open to your ideas and tries to capture what it is you are looking to create. Having a downtown Cleveland Christmas wedding, we wanted to capture the holiday spirit in our photos along with the wedding fun. We received a TON of images that are absolutely STUNNING! The photos taken at The Cathedral, Public Library, Public Square Christmas lights, Union Club and Playhouse Square are AMAZING! There are awesome snapshots of key moments during the wedding. Our wedding photo album is gorgeous and a great collection of both color and black and white photos. Scott obtained some incredible shots that will give us memories that will last a lifetime. The shot of us in front of the Terminal Tower with all the Christmas lights is absolutely spectacular. There are so many shots he took that we are eagerly looking forward to having them framed. Aside from his immense talents, he is an amazing person to work with… and this is coming from someone who may hold the title as the longest single-event customer ever! Scott is based out of Ohio and we therefore never met with him until the morning of the wedding. He traveled with his son and instantly made us and our wedding party feel comfortable with being photographed on such a chaotic (in the best way) day. Even though Scott has only been to Detroit a handful of times, we planned out locations throughout the city and within the Detroit Masonic Temple that gave us gorgeous photos. pture emotions and moments moreso than the typical staged wedding photos. Scott did this exceedingly well and did so without us knowing he was even there most of the time!
We also challenged Scott with time restraints for the staged family, bridal party and couple shots. We did not do a first look and we only had 1 hour in between the ceremony and reception to get these photos done. We needed a photographer that could get the all the shots efficiently while being high quality without fussing over details and fixing this and that.
Again, Scott amazed us with his ability to work with us on this challenge and came through for us 100%!
All of our photos are high quality and beautiful in different ways! Some are very personal, others are more artistic , but they are ALL exactly what we hoped for!

Scott has a way of seeing an event or moment and capturing it in an incredibly thoughtful and creative way. He also was very detail-oriented throughout the planning process and wanted to make sure he was aware of the shots that were most important to us, weeks ahead of the wedding. This planning resulted in photos that otherwise would have been missed. For example, I had mentioned to Scott ahead of the wedding that I wanted photos with my 93-year-old grandmother. Those photos plus some very positive references caused my daughter and I to schedule a meeting with Scott. We were blown away by the albums he showed us displaying his talent as a wedding photographer. Not only was Scott's personality laid back and relaxed, but his work is amazing. I remember when we went to meet him we looked through the albums of his work, my husband and I looked at each other and we knew right away that we wanted Scott to capture our special day.
Our original wedding date was June 9th, 2018, we had to move the date up to March 24th, 2018 because our family was getting started a little sooner. I called Scott right away and told him of our situation and he was very understanding and more than willing to work with us, so he could still capture our special day.
Our wedding day was really a day to remember. Scott did a great job on our photos and made it fun for everyone. Scott knows exactly what he is doing, and his work speaks for itself.
